New Unit To rental Program

Looking for the perfect condo for your dream vacation? This beauty has it all! 1650 square feet with room for everyone to have their space and be comfortable. Bar seating for eight people and comfortable sectional couch in the living room. The living room has a 55 inch TV and cable. Downstairs has twin beds that can be made into a king if you prefer. This bedroom has a 43 inch tv with cable access. Half bath downstairs for your convenience. Upstairs has the mountain side bedroom with a queen sized bed and a full bathroom with a shower/ tub combo. This bedroom has 50 inch TV. Master bedroom has a king bed and full bathroom with a shower. We have a 50 inch TV in this room.
Walk straight out on to the lanai and take in the unobstructed views on our neighbor islands. Fall asleep to the sounds of the waves right outside your condo. Upstairs has a washer and dryer in the hallway.
Located on the third and forth floor just north of Lahaina this condo has views you cannot beat. The property has beach access and a BBQ station with four gas grills. In the evening enjoy our tiki torches that light up the night at sunset. We are also one of the only properties that can boast about our heated pool and lush grounds. This condo has split AC unit in all bedrooms as well as the living areas. Each one can control the temperature they prefer. Great for tropical nights! Your family will want to return every year!

We had a lovely stay at Makani Sands! There was plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 teens. It was a great base for exploring the island and we loved the Lanai and swimming out front! Tammy is a great host and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We also loved joining in blowing the conch shells to honor the Hawaiian gods at sunset. The accommodations were exactly as pictured and very comfortable. A short walk to Bad *** Coffee and our fave sushi place Miso Phat. Everyone on the property was very kind and welcoming.

Amazing views and beautiful space!

Positives: Location was amazing, quiet neighborhood and building, wonderfully renovated unit, nice pool, great variety of containers/kitchen utensils/cooking items, nice beach towels, washer/dryer, walking distance to a few bakeries/shops and a public park/beach, good WiFi, comfy balcony furniture and wonderful views from living room and master bedroom balconies (a must if you like to read on the balcony like I do!) Areas for improvement: Despite keeping everything cleaned there were small gnats/bugs on the kitchen counters that got into any food that wasn’t wrapped tightly (need to keep all food in fridge or in containers), no ziploc bags/aluminum foil/clips/twist ties to use, first floor twin bedroom had no natural light unless you opened the tinted glass window blinds (which was not an option if you had the ac on and it also allowed everyone walking by to see inside), queen bedroom on 2nd floor has small balcony with a nice view but the ac unit sits on that balcony and blows hot air making it uncomfortable to sit out there, king bed was quite firm and could use a thin pad cushion or something similar.

Great place

Wonderful place with great views! My kids went out in the water behind the place every day after visiting other beaches each morning. The pool was a nice addition for when they didn't want to swim in the ocean. The place itself was clean, the air conditioning was amazing, and the kitchen well-stocked. They provided everything we could need for our stay, from t.p. to beach chairs. I do wish there was a rug or two in hallways and bathrooms, as it felt a little slippery with wet swimsuits, but we just used towels on the floors to keep them dry. We still loved the place!

First time to Maui

We had six adults in our group. The unit was clean, well kept and comfortable for us. The staff was great especially Linda who booked us. The unit was close to everything we did and easy to get to from the airport. Would highly recommend.

Unit was clean and well equipped. Views were outstanding and the snorkeling and turtle watching from the beach on property was perfect. We preferred it to other beach “hotspots” on the island. Things were never crowded and always relaxed here. We will definitely be back!

An epic vacation

We came to Maui to attend our son’s wedding and wanted a base to operate from for the 12 days we would be there. We searched for what seemed like months, sharing with family the possible places. We decided that an ocean front location was best and Makani Sands 3 bedroom oceanfront condo checked all the boxes. Once arriving, we were excited to find everything about our unit met or exceeded our expectations. The views of the ocean, the cleanliness of the unit, the well stocked kitchen, the extras like beach chairs, a cooler, etc, were all things that made our stay wonderful. The sun shades that you could automatically lower when the sun was low in the sky was very useful. They didn’t block the view but did temper the intensity of the sun. Makani Sands is a Condo group that takes great pride in its appearance. The cleanliness and freshness of the common areas is top notch. The ocean front patio with chairs, tables and bbq grills are well maintained and constantly kept in good order. There were many unit owners there and they were so welcoming and very helpful in giving advice on places to go and see. They also congregated around sunset each day on the patio to relax, fellowship, and enjoy drinks and maybe use the grills. They would also blow the conch shells at sunset and show us how to do it. Every unit has a couple of shells designed to be blown. The beach, snorkeling, and daily sea turtle visits were added bonuses. We loved our stay and look forward to returning.

Nice Unit and Great Value!

Beautifully updated unit right on ocean front. Super clean! Great views with ocean lapping at your door step. We liked having nice separation between the bedrooms (one main floor, two on second floor) as we have young adults with different sleep habits. The kitchen was nicely outfitted with multiple coffee machine options and everything you need and more. Nice, family orientated building with several large multi-generational groups that had been there before.

Absolutely lovely!

Everything was amazing and so quiet! I loved falling asleep to the waves. The beaches all around were perfect, but you have to get there early for parking. Working with Tammy was easy. She took care of us, and called back immediately after I left a message. The condo was perfect for my family of 6.

Our family vacation was one we will not forget and it was due in large part to the amazing views from our condo, amazing whale watching, rainbows, and turtle viewing right from our lanai. The condo was spacious, updated, and had all the amenities that we needed for family dinners after fun days exploring the island. Our daughter keeps asking when we are planning our next trip to Makani Sands.

As the person responsible for booking, I want everything to go as perfectly as possible and everyone at the Makani Sands (Managers Tammy & Deb) + entire housekeeping & maintenance staff really do over deliver above and beyond my expectations. Super clean, well maintained, comfortable, convenient, quiet & a good value. Other repeat guests staying are very welcoming to new comers. We saw MANY eels, whales, sea turtles directly on ocean front from condos patio area as well as our balcony frequently. We enjoyed being in the surf on calmer days as there are steps directly off the big patio to access the ocean. We absolutely loved the close proximity to the ocean. Lots of space in our condo, lots of privacy, felt it was a very safe & secure location, very walkable to shops nearby, well stocked with items (equipment) needed for our week long stay. Nice heated pool, big grilling area, ample parking right out front, comfortable beds, excellent wi-fi, individual remote control AC worked GREAT, really liked having in unit washer and dryer. Deck was able to fit all six of us for excellent whale watching! Good sized kitchen.Short drive to super market, highway, golf, several excursion options, sand beaches, and (conference) hotels. Management staff exceptionally friendly & accommodating to our group. Excellent communication and very responsive. Our entire group was very pleased with everything and looking forward to next visit. Mahalo!

I appreciate that the everything was thoughtfully placed. My one minor complaint was that on the first day, we had a hard time turning on the AC, and that was due to sensors falling off above the sliding glass doors. I wish this critical component was mentioned in the manual.
