Makani Sands #103 is a one Bedroom right on the ground floor where you can walk right out to grass and beach. There is a lanai off the living room that opens to the ocean side. The lanai has a table and chairs so you can sit outside and sip your morning coffee, or watch the sunset. The bedroom is on the mountain side with a king bed and a TV. There is a sofa bed in the living room for an extra guests. There is a newly remodeled spacious kitchen with granite counters and all the necessary appliances. The living room on the ocean side has a TV and CD player for your enjoyment. The bathroom has a walk-in-shower with a safety bar. Come and stay in Makani Sands condo #103, your home away from home on Maui.

Unfortunately it was humid and the unit did not have air conditioning. However, the fans did their job and a nice breeze helped. The unit had everything we needed except it could have used a "waiters" cork remover. We had a good time at a fair rate.

Another wonderful Maui vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second stay at Makani Sands, but our first on unit 103. After a lovely week there though I think it's safe to say it won't be our last. Condo is clean, up to date, and comfortable. Bed is a little on the softer side, but even for myself, who sometimes develops back pain from a soft bed, didn't have any issues. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you'd need to prepare meals, although the knives were quite dull and made cutting things like pineapple and watermelon a struggle. Loved having the extra portable fans to use, as it helped create a wonderful breeze with the shutters and patio door. The pool and pool deck area were clean every time we used it, as was the deck out back on the ocean side. You can't beat this location - out your front door is the pool, and out the backdoor the ocean is mere steps away.

It is beautifully decorated and wow the view. the living room couch and chairs are not comfortable. But the bed was good. Very clean and the people were wonderful. Everything worked. We love your place. I have stayed 2 times before and would again.

Icemaker in the fridge was a nice touch. Only thing that was missing, and always seems to be at any condo we've stayed in, was a kettle. Boiling water in a pot on the stove is a bit of a pain. Property was real nice, kept up by Bert, who was always busy. Office people were friendly as were all the guests, most of whom were regular visitors.

The sounds of the ocean waves was refreshing all day long. The grounds were well kept and lovely. It is a bit dated with decor but you have everything you need. Would definitely return for another visit.
