Family home w/ lake access, heated stock tank pool, kayaks, kid + dog-friendly

Charming, cozy and private lake house for a family getaway or couples retreat, available to enjoy when we aren't there ourselves!

We recently built new backyard patio with large fire pit and heated stock tank pool - great for stargazing in the Texas Hill Country!

50 amp, NEMA 14-50 outlet in garage - bring your own EV charger!

Current beds are:
Main Bedroom:
- 1 King Bed
- 1 Small futon for children or toddlers

Second Bedroom:
- 1 Queen Bed

Third Bedroom:
- 1 Queen Bed
- 1 lofted Twin bed
- Space for Crib / Pack n Play (available in the closet)

Additional bed:
- 1 more small futon for children/toddlers in Game Room
- 1 extra Twin bed in Game Room

*Please note, for maximum comfort, we recommend no more than 6 adults, 2 children.

The large lot is fully fenced with big shady oaks in front and a spacious back yard.

Parking for 4 cars inside the fence, or less cars and a boat.

Our home is equipped with all the necessities and comforts for a great weekend away. We have:
- Fully stocked kitchen
- Basic goods to start (Roll of TP, Paper Towels, Bath toiletries)
- Bluetooth soundbar in living room
- Charcoal Weber grill with grilling utensils
- Great setup for babies and toddlers with High Chair, kids utensils, non-slip bath mat and lots of toys and games.
- Amazon Baby Trend Retreat (Pack n Play + Changing Station + Baby Floor Rocker)
- Wagon available to carry supplies to the lake and back

Our lot backs up to Army Engineer shore land, with easy gate access to a trail that's <5min walk to the water! Great for fishing in the morning and swimming in the afternoon. YouTube video of trail available - just ask!

We have 3 kayaks and a paddle board available to use.

The porch outside has partial lake views to the water, and beautiful sunrise hill views into the valley.

Backyard has a dedicated, air-conditioned game room with pool table, dart board, SmartTV, poker/game table and a folding futon for late night kids (and adults!).

Great home for families and groups looking to enjoy the lake, fishing, tubing, and great music venues nearby.

- 10 min drive to Whitewater Amphitheater for great concerts
- 5 min drive to Sattler and nearest grocery store.
- 5 min drive to Boat Ramp #2 (Turkey Cove boat launch)
- 20 min drive to HEB in New Braunfels
- 25 min to Gruene

Beautiful Home in the Hill Country

The house was perfect for our family of 5 adults. It was a beautiful house with beautiful views. The best part, it was so peaceful and quiet! It was truly a relaxing weekend!

Awesome location and hosts

We all enjoyed the stay. Watching deer walk around from the patio was amazing. The hosts were excellent and responded immediately to any messages/calls. They even went above and beyond to mail some items we had left behind. 5 stars, highly recommend!

Pretty good stay

Our stay was quite pleasant. The house is well-equipped and comfortable, with all the essentials you might need. The neighborhood is peaceful and safe, and the nearby trail to the lake is a nice, easy walk. While the lake level was low during our visit, we can imagine how beautiful it must be in the summer.Overall, we had a positive experience and would recommend this house to others.

Wonderful 21st birthday girls trip!

We traveled to Canyon Lake for my youngest daughters 21st birthday. We had a wonderful time exploring the area, tubing, wine tasting and simply enjoying the space. It was very relaxing. The home was perfect. Definitely need to revisit sometime soon.

The home was very clean and well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies. Plenty room for three adults and two kids. Owners with helpful with area recommendations and quick to answer any questions! The area was so nice and quiet. We enjoyed our stay!

Great place to stay

Such an amazing place to stay. Brittany left a house manual that gave us all the information we needed to know, as well as some brochures for different things around to enjoy. We were also able to contact her very easily during our stay. The whole place was well kept and they had plenty of toys and things for the children to do. I wanted a bit of nature on this trip and that’s exactly what we got with the location. Definitely will come again.

Like the saying goes “home away from home”, that is what this rental is! We were so comfortable and had everything we needed for water fun! The fenced in yard was perfect for our pets and daughter. We would 100 percent stay here again in the future.

Great Family Friendly Place

We stayed here over the week of Thanksgiving with 3 teenagers, a six year old, one dog 2 grandparents and of course the mom and dad. We had such a great time and there was plenty of room for everyone. Our hosts Brittany and Austin were so great at responding to us when we had a situation come up. They were so kind and accommodating. We recommend this place to anyone with a family who likes to play together, walk, hike play pool, sit in the cowboy pool, play music around the fire, watch movies and do a lot of cooking! Wonderful stay!!!!

Birthday/Holiday Mini-Vacay Get Away

We had the best time at this hill country lake home. Brittany fielded our check-in questions (we’ve learned that re-finding info that was sent in advance when you’re at the gate is challenging, make notes as you are receiving info BEFORE your trip!) and got us settled in quickly. We enjoyed our entire time here. Peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. 10/10 will def return and recommend. Thank you!

Perfect location and property

We stayed for 5 nights over the weekend. The property was just as expected. The lake is very low but very private once you get down the short trail. It had everything we needed in the house. I have no changes and we enjoyed staying there so much. Very close to Austin and San Antonio. Easy to get to both and lots of wonderful small towns to explore nearby.

Girls Weekend Getaway

Love this house! We stayed here for a girls weekend getaway and had such a blast! The house was very comfortable, had everything we needed and the game room was really fun! It’s also very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views of the hills and deer all around the neighborhood. We took a short trail walk (5-6 minutes) from the backyard down to the lake, which was so nice and convenient. The owners were very responsive and accommodating to our needs. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Spring Break!

We loved our stay here! Our family with two teenage daughters and two dogs had a great time. The separate game room with a pool house and darts was so nice and a tv in there as well. We throughly enjoyed the new fire pit and roasted smores! They also have a hot tub that was so nice to get into after floating the Guadalupe river. Our dogs loved the little trail down to Canyon Lake right from the backyard of the house. The yard is large and completely fenced in so it was great for our dogs. The house is decorated so beautifully and everything is there that you would need. The kitchen is fully stocked and plenty of seating for everyone. We definitely plan to come back here again!

Weekend Gateway Canyon Lake

Thanks Brittany for been a really good host. House has everything, we had an issue with access code to get in the house, but Brittany answered right away and solved it. House has everything for a family, my kids are grown so they really enjoyed the play room, unfortunately weather didn’t help to go kayaking, but we still have fun and relax. There’s a lot of deers in the neighborhood super friendly and the sound of the birds is beautiful in the morning. You have lake access for a short walk, just make sure you follow the instructions that are on the book :) Overall it was a really nice experience, I’ll upgrade a couple things but the house is nicely decorated. We will definitely be back in the future

The house was clean, beautiful and spacious. It was very well equipped. We were able to walk to the lake in the morning and there was even a basketball court on the way to the lake. The game room was awesome, the beds were comfortable and the couch accommodated all 6 of us comfortably as did the dining table.
