Another wonderful 5 nights at the bay house, house is so beautiful and views of the bay from everywhere in the house, from the beautiful sunrises and sunsets to fishing on the dock, everything you need is right there, Shannon is a wonderful host and is always there when needed to answer questions, we will be back for a 3rd time!

We enjoyed our weekend away! The upstairs AC went out right before our stay, but the owner communicated clearly and offered alternatives. We had a little issue with gnats, but I know that is common and difficult to manage near water. Otherwise, everything was beautiful and the house was amazing. We kept dreaming and wishing this was our forever home.

The house is super clean, the location cannot be beat. We had a wonderful week there. Unfortunately we were there in really warm, humid weather so we could not enjoy the outside ameneties as much as we would have liked but the house more than made up for that. Stunning views all around sunrise, sunsets, the sounds of the lapping waves. We would love to come back sometime when the weather is a little cooler.

This property is an absolute delight and exactly as advertised. But wait, there's more. The house comes with fresh cut flowers, fine chocolates, popcorn and coffee. The views are amazing! The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. The screened porch is a delight and there is almost always a breeze. One of the unexpected joys of the stay was watching Shannon, the owner, walk her 3 geese to the river each day for a quick swim. So cute! The house is only 15 minutes from town but you definitely feel like you are out in the country. Nuttall's Store is a great place to grab a gourmet bite or bottle of wine and is only 5 minutes away. We are already booked for next year and I might just be back before then. I

A slice of heaven!

First things first- best vaca rental I have ever booked!! Clean, updated, so so so cozy and was easy to settle in. They really make you feel welcome!We wanted waterfront in Virginia to do all the things with the kids in the area. This location was so perfect and a short drive from Busch Gardens, VA Beach, you name it, so it more than worked out! However if you wanted to come to a place and never leave? This place is the perfect spot for that as well! I probably dosed off in the rocking chair twice at night after the kids went down just listening to the water. My husband fished off the dock pretty much every single night lol. We checked out a few restaurants in town, amazing fare! Olivia’s! Go there, get all the food! We were sad we only made it once. Anyway, highly recommend!! Honestly, I hope we come back again soon!

Lovely home on the water

My 2 sisters and I stayed for 4 nights. Beds were so comfortable, and we had everything we needed to make our stay a memorable one. Nice places to sit outside, and a long dock with benches made for great photos. We would definitely stay here again.

Property was amazing. In a quiet spot, with beautiful views, just the right distance from other amenities. Property is in great shape for being right on the water. The only thing I would add is heed the owner's warning to wear water shoes in the water, lots of oyster shells in there.

Virginia Get Away

One of the best vacation rental we have ever experienced. Great information prior to check in, easy checkout.Went on vacation with my husband and had a friend join us for the first few days. Very relaxing atmosphere and we loved watching the bird activity on the water and in the surrounding area. Great little town to explore as well as close to the Historic Triangle. No complaints, a very positive experience.We will definitely be back!!!

Another great stay at the Cottage!

This area is where I personally grew up. I remember the days on the river at a very young age. I fished, crabbed, learned how to swim, relax, kayak, explore and I am still enjoying all of this today with my family and friends.

Pictures cannot even describe this property (many of our guests say this once they arrive). It is one of the most serene places to be. Listening to the waves crash up against the rocks at night, taking a nap in the hammock on a warm summer afternoon, to watching the Osprey on the river, there is not a better place to enjoy nature at it's best. It is all at your fingertips.
