Sea Spirit es un muy privado cottage pie de 600 metros cuadrados magníficamente situado en lo alto de un acantilado espectacular con amplias vistas al mar y grandes brisas. Su privacidad está garantizada por los alrededores del Parque Nacional. Tiene algunos de los mejores snorkeling muy secreto en la parte delantera de la casa que existe en la isla ... cuevas, arrecifes vivos y ultramarinos offs azul del descenso con rayas y delfines. Hay un residente rayo de águila manchado en la parte delantera de la casa. Desde su privilegiada ubicación se puede caminar a 2 playas de aguas cristalinas. Kiddle Bay es muy Maine-como con grandes piedras planas que crepitan en la noche, convirtiéndose en arena en un lado. El otro es Grootpan Bay y tiende a estar vacío. Si alguna vez hay alguien ahí, que tiende a ser una playa nudista. Es una mezcla de arena, pequeñas piedras y coral. Ambas bahías ofrecen increíble snorkeling.

A poca distancia en coche te lleva a cualquiera de Salt Pond Beach o las bahías Lameshuur. Sus compañeros constantes son el paraguas de estrellas en la noche, el olor de la brisa salada y los sonidos del viento y de las olas y el pastoreo de ciervos ocasional en el patio. We had a lovely time at Sea Spirit. Terry and Oliver made us feel very welcome. We stayed over Christmas and they even had lights up and a little tree for us. The views are amazing. We enjoyed stargazing by night and watching the boats pass by day. Being so close to less populated but magnificent beaches was wonderful. We can wait to visit Sea Spirit again.

Sea Spirit was everything we could have hoped for and so much more! The deck hosted double rainbows and magnificent ocean views by day, unfiltered stars and the lights of cruise-ships passing by at night. The breezes were amazing- we never even used the a/c. Amenities were well appointed for making meals at home, packing for a day at the beach, and relaxing after a day of adventure. Two beaches were a short walk away. Our favorite spot to snorkel, Salt Pond Bay, was minutes up the road, and countless more were also easily accessible by car. The hosts were extremely helpful, accommodating and responsive. We cannot imagine a more stunning place to stay and soak in the beauty of this amazing island!

Pictures don't do this home justice. Gorgeous views, spent mornings and some evenings watching the day go by on the wrap around balcony. Inside had everything we needed. Great support from hosts beforehand made this trip a breeze. Would love to return!

A Peaceful Haven

This was our first trip to Saint John, and we were enamored with the island. Staying at Sea Spirit was definitely the highlight. We appreciated the coziness and peacefulness. Spending our evenings on the porch, listening to the ocean waves lapping on the rocks and viewing the night time sky was extremely relaxing. Terry was very easy to communicate with and helpful when planning our arrival. We do not think it would be possible to find a nicer place to stay.

Simply Beautiful!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Sea Spirit! We spent nearly every waking moment when we were at the house on the deck overlooking the sea. We spent 6 nights there, and literally saw only three other vehicles on the road leading to the house, so if you’re looking for secluded this is the place for you. You will definitely need a vehicle with 4-wheel drive to access the house, so keep that in mind for your planning. Terry was a very welcoming and helpful host. I will add that if you are traveling in “low season”, Coral Bay does not have much happening for restaurants, so be prepared to make a lot of your own food, or be willing to eat at whatever happens to be open at that day and time. Thankfully, the Sea Spirit has a full kitchen and a grill.

Just another week in paradise!

Our definition of heaven! Our third time in Sea Spirit was as wonderful as the first. St John under the stars is just what one needs for a spring break. Alone in the middle of a wilderness park... Be sure to take advantage of all the great eating on this end of the island, the quiet beaches, and leave plenty of time just loafing on the deck watching the folks snorkeling the reef below the deck, the turtles doing the same, the jewel-like cruise ships sloooowly making their way across the horizon at night. Remember to loaf the first morning away, recharging with a cup of coffee! (There is the rest of the week in paradise, you know!). Take a day sail and snorkel the reefs or a day trip to Tortola or Virgin Gorda (bring your passport!). Don't forget to partake of the Fish tacos at the Tourist Trap at the top of Sugar Bird Hill! Your hosts, Terry and Olivier, are always available for information, assistance or a friendly chat. St John come soon (again!!).

Great place at the end of the road

Nice property fantastic location and view. About 4 miles from Coral Bay at the end of the road. Enjoyed morning coffee on the porch watching the sail boats go by and adult beverages in the evening while stargazing. I must mention also the resident lizards and banana keet (bird) that greeted us every morning on the deck. The cottage was clean and had everything we could possibly need plus. A steady breeze kept us cool at night and the sound of the water against the rocks lulled us to sleep. Just bring some food and your favorite beverages. Quite and private. Read on line some people questioning the privacy. There are neighbors. We were there for 10 days. Saw one of the neighbors once and they both were home during our entire visit. Didn't hear them at all. I would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable private getaway at a great location to consider Sea Spirit. In fact after posting some pictures on Facebook, one of my friends contacted me as to how he can reserve it.

AAAAAAHHHHHHHhhhhhhhh.....

I've stayed at fancier, more exciting, and more luxurious places in my life, but my wife and I have NEVER stayed anywhere as relaxing as Sea Spirit. The waves against the rocks lull you to sleep at night and the occasional short rain shower on the roof is music to your ears. Terry was wonderful and very accommodating. The villa was set up with all of the beach towels, coolers, beach chairs/blankets, etc that you'd need. The hot tub was a great spot to relax and look at the stars through the clear sky (very little light pollution so the amount of visible stars is astonishing). The front porch/deck was perfect for morning coffee or an afternoon sandwich. The villa is located about 1/3 mile up a dirt/gravel road, but seemed easily passable with a "normal" car. The two closest beaches (Kiddel Bay and Grootpan Bay) are both very secluded with good snorkeling and within walking distance, but both quite rocky (no sand on the beach). For a sandy beach, you can either drive to Salt Pond Bay and deal with a few extra people, or (if you have a 4 wheel drive) I'd recommend Little Lameshur Bay about 1 1/2 miles away. Fantastic snorkeling. Sandy beach. Close parking. Very few people. We'll be back!!

Comfortable place in the best location imaginable!

My husband and I spent a week here at the end of December/early January. This was our fifth visit to St John over 20 years, and if we come back again, this is where we will stay. It's hard to exaggerate the beauty and peacefulness of the location. Looking out at the ocean from the deck, no other structures are visible; it's just you and the water, sky, and hills. Being able to easily walk to Kiddel and Grootpan Bays (and, a little less easily, Salt Pond, which we also did) meant we had days when we didn't get into a motor vehicle, despite the isolated location.Terry was a lovely host. Communication was very good and thorough, and she even made some calls for us to gather information about an issue with our rental car. We showed up to a particularly nice selection of treats, too. (We kept trying, and failing, to find more of the maduros chips she left.)The house itself is perfectly acceptable. It was clean and well kitted-out. We very much appreciated the stock of herbs, spices, oil, and vinegar for cooking, the plethora of kitchenware, and the clothes washing facilities. The loft has no ventilation, and the ladder access takes balance and care. I wouldn't want to use it for a middle-of-the-night trip to the toilet myself.The unpaved road from 107 to the house is quite rough in places, something to keep in mind if you stay here and rent a vehicle.In summary, Sea Spirit is a spectacular place for one or two people wanting a bit of solitude on St John.

THE BEST View on St. John!!

We have spent 11 weeks total on St. John since 2019 and this was the first time we have enjoyed two vacations on the island (1st in June/July 2023) and vacationed here again in December/January. During our previous St. John summer vacations, we have stayed in Johns Folly, Coral Bay, Chocolate Hole, Fish Bay, Privateer Bay/East End & Bordeaux Mountain, all with amazing views of the Caribbean Sea. However, open the bi-fold, shuttered doors of this house and the views from the porch are of NOTHING but the Sea except a little of the island on both sides. It is TRULY THE BEST view of any place we have ever stayed!! The owner, Terry, is wonderful!! She is very responsive, offers advice & recommendations & even called us shortly before our departure just to check in with us. The house is just as described in the listing. Great water pressure in the indoor/outdoor shower! My husband used the outdoor grill 4 times during our stay & it worked very well! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need! Just drive a short distance to Calabash Market or Dolphin Market to buy your food. You can sit inside & eat at the 4-chair high-top table or you can eat outside on the deck. Either way, you will enjoy the gorgeous views!! This house is a short drive or walk to Kiddel and Grootpan Bays & a short drive (wouldn't walk) to Salt Pond Bay. Of course, you can drive your Jeep out to the other beautiful beaches of St. John as well. We will most definitely stay here again in the future!

Sea Spirit

This was our 3rd trip to St. John’s and by far our favorite primarily because of this amazing home. The location is beyond words. We enjoyed several beautiful rainbows all while listening to the crashing waves below. We hiked and snorkeled plenty but always looked forward to getting back to our private home with breathtaking views. We cannot wait to get back.

Amazing, beautiful retreat!!

What an incredible dream of a place! Beautiful views; private; and off the beaten path. We are fully recharged after soaking in the incredible colors of the sea, and being lulled to sleep each night by the sound of the waves. There are wonderful hiking trails within a short distance, and of course beautiful beaches!! Terry was such a pleasure to coordinate with — she made sure everything was ready for us and easy to find — and was always very responsive!! We are definitely looking forward to coming back!!

Wonderful stay

Terry was kind, communicative and very helpful with anything we needed. The house is as beautiful and lovely as the pictures. Well furnished with amenities you might need as well. Great snorkeling at the beaches nearby. Definitely rent a car so you can explore. There is a small market, run by a lovely family, a few minutes away if restocking is needed so you don't have to go all the way to the main grocery store. Local restaurants were also fun and lively with great musicians on some nights of the week. If staying with a pet the two beaches by the house are great, and you can also go to Waterlemon Bay or Hansen Beach (saw sea turtles at both). Hope to return soon!

Remains our favorite

This was our 4th trip to the island and our second stay at Sea Spirit. Terry is great to work with and we absolutely LOVE the time we spend there. She has everything you need and it is a little slice of heaven. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind look no further! One of the BEST snorkel on the island is just steps away at Grootpan Bay. We saw AMAZING sea life! We cannot wait to return. Thank you, Terry, Sea Spirit and St John for another amazing vacation!

Sea Spirit found me. When I walked onto this deck for the first time in my life I sat there for hours and watched the stars and moon shining on the sea. I felt a sea of spirit and not only knew that this house had captured me, but there was no doubt about its name, it was Sea Spirit. The healing quality of this little gem never failed me ever since. I know for sure that every new guest to Sea Spirit gets the same suckerpunch when he/she walks that deck. I hope you will enjoy this experience, too!
