Peaceful and Family Friendly 4BR, 3BA Waterfront Escape at Lake Gaston

This newly renovated 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house is the perfect getaway for families or friends seeking a relaxing retreat.

As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a spacious and open living room, complete with seating for a crowd, that offers views of tranquil Jimmie’s Creek. The fully-equipped kitchen is perfect for whipping up delicious meals and snacks, with modern appliances and ample counter space. Enjoy your meals in the adjacent dining nook or take them outside to the expansive screened porch that overlooks the water.

The master bedroom boasts a king-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with a soaking tub. Two additional queen rooms and a kid-friendly bunk room with 4 twin beds and a queen pull-out bed ensure everyone has a comfortable place to rest.

Outside, you'll find a private dock where you can swim, fish, or simply relax and soak up the sun. The cove is calm and quiet, perfect for paddleboarding or kayaking. You’ll find an abundance of lake toys available for use - including a lake mat, floats, water & lawn games, and fishing poles. You are also welcome to dock personal or rental boats at the boat house - the water depth is approx 7-9ft.

The deck features plenty of seating and a gas grill, making it the perfect spot for outdoor dining and entertaining. Enjoy evenings roasting marshmallows by the firepit and enjoy the peace of your outdoor surroundings.

This rental home is located just a short drive from local shops, restaurants, and entertainment, ensuring you have everything you need for an unforgettable Lake Gaston vacation.

Perfect for our family

We thoroughly enjoyed our lake house stay! The accommodations and appointments were perfect for our family of 8, and the Lily Pad was a hit with the kids. An unexpected delight was watching bats fly out of a bat box next door while sitting on the dock at dusk. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was clean and well equipped with everything you could need at the lake. We all enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks provided. A quiet part of the lake was great for the kids first time on kayaks and paddle boards.

stayed for birthday celebration- family came from multiple states. what a fantastic vaca. the house is fabulous with plenty of room (playroom was a favorite with our little ones) the splash pad was also a huge hit. what a killer way to spend a week

Extremely clean, very cozy, we felt at home when we first walked in. Our kids loved the bunk room and having their own space. The screened in porch was so nice with a cup of coffee in the morning looking over the lake. The neighborhood was very quite and pieceful. The host was very responsive. Would stay again!

A beautiful lake home!

We had a wonderful stay at Lake Gaston. This home is an absolute treasure on the Lake!Our stay was wonderful here, the screened in porch was perfect with this cooler weather. We had a wonderful time fishing, and kayaking. The home itself was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. We are looking forward to coming back again! We can't recommend this stay enough!

Exactly what was expected

The house was exactly as pictured. It was very clean. We enjoyed fishing off the dock. My older kids 18 & 15 enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. Perfect for a little family get away. The area was very quiet. We did notice the neighbors watching us frequently. Definitely recommend.

Perfect weekend!

I can not recommend the Cozy Cove enough! Everything was sparkling clean and the home felt like real people lived in it given how comfortable everything was and all of the utensils and necessities provided. The kitchen island was perfect for preparing and serving meals. While the interior is phenomenal- the real star of our weekend were the paddle boards, kayaks, and lily pad on the dock. It is so clear that Amanda and her family care for this home and want to share its joy. We are incredibly grateful for their generosity and a wonderful weekend on the water! We would absolutely stay here again!

Friends weekend getaway

We had a wonderful visit at Lake Gaston! This house had great amenities at the dock (life jackets, paddle boards, kayaks, floats, lily pad, etc). We had space to tie up two ~20 foot boats on the dock and still had room to swim. We enjoyed exploring the cove which had a protected no wake zone. We enjoyed the gas fire pit on the screened in porch in the evening. There were lots of kids items: books, toys, silverware and plates. The host was very responsive and had a few kitchen items delivered which we were unable to locate.

The property is perfect! Everything you need for the stay is included at the property. Paddleboards, floats, fishing, poles, firewood..... you name it they have it. Pack a bag and go! Inside and out the property is in great shape. The owners were polite and very responsive. The neighbors were very friendly and personable. I'm not a VRBO expert but I can't imagine many owners/properties being much better than this.

Didn’t stay long enough!

We had such an amazing time and wish we could have stayed longer! Everything we needed was provided and of good quality. The furniture was comfortable- especially the mattresses!! The blue float/mat on the lake was so much fun! Our girls had the best time jumping and splashing. I was nervous about boat traffic but barely any boats came through. We reached out to the owners while there and they responded almost immediately- and we later discovered the information was already provided to us, we just hadn’t seen it yet! We truly had a wonderful time, and if we head back to the lake instead of the beach next summer, we’ll stay here again.

Wonderful family friendly location

Lovely single story home in a quiet neighborhood with water frontage in a quiet cove in a no-wake zone. There are plenty of available games and activities at the house and dock, a stocked kitchen with all the necessities for easy cooking, and it’s only a short 3 min drive to Dollar General or 10 min to Food Lion. We enjoyed the very comfortable beds and the covered porch. Our kids (10, 12) loved spending a lot of time on the dock and in the water learning to fish (10 caught her first) and learning to paddle board. Our favorite was the lily pad which we were able to tie it out for the duration of the day on the side of the dock and lounge on the calm waters. Owners were easily reachable for concerns. We had a memorable time at Cozy Cove and look forward to visiting again.

Perfect rental!

Cozy cottage is the perfect rental for your lake vacation needs. It is impeccably decorated without being overdone. The owners invested in quality housewares you don’t normally find in rentals, which was much appreciated. They thought of everything to make your stay smooth- games, baby stuff, shampoo, cocktail accessories, etc. This rental far exceeded the other rentals we have stayed in (about 5 a year). It was also extremely clean upon arrival. We enjoyed all the swim toys provided and its close proximity to food lion, ace hardware, mini golf, etc. Neighborhood was really quiet! The neighbors were out a lot but they live there so can’t really hold it against them! One recommendation would be to put a roller shade on the side wall of the porch to give the option for more privacy. You won’t be disappointed with the rental it’s one of the best!!

Absolutely Spectacular Lakefront Property

This property was, by far, our family's favorite yet out of 15 yrs of vacationing. Communication & booking was excellent from the start, and very responsive the few times that I reached out. This home is beautifully and comfortably furnished, and the full kitchen with all of the necessary things for cooking & baking was a major plus for us as we cook most of our meals while traveling. The seating on the deck, the screened-in outdoor porch were both so nice to spend mornings and evenings outdoors. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks, paddleboards, & the splash pad - literally they were in or on the water from sun up to sun down during our time here. The neighborhood is quiet & everyone you pass smiles and waves. Grocery, liquor, and other shopping is 10-15 minutes down the road.
