Updated 1940s Beach Bungalow Minutes from Ocean & Center St

We are offering our home on VRBO for the first time. Be one of the first VRBO guest to enjoy our original 1940's Folly Beach Bungalow - don't be alarmed by the age of the house because it has been completely renovated with all modern conveniences. The two bedroom/two bath bungalow has an updated kitchen featuring a Viking Glasstop Stove and granite countertops. Also, equipped for your comfort, is a tankless hot water heater and central heat/air. Both bathrooms are completely updated with ceramic tile. The living room and both bedrooms have large screen televisions for your enjoyment. Also, there is also a comfortable queen pull out Pottery Barn sofa which can be used for extra guests!
The Bungalow comes fully equipped with linens, towels, hair dryers, and all needed kitchen utensils, including toaster oven, blender, slow cooker, etc. Cable TV and Wi-Fi are also included.
Our location is excellent! The bungalow is less than a 3 minute walk to the ocean and a short two blocks to downtown Center Street - which is the Heart of Folly. Center street boasts quirky little beach stores; locally owned restaurants and bars - everyone is super excited for the grand opening of Folly's newest restaurant - Coconut Joes! Also, a short half block away is the famous Berts Market - If you need it, you can find it there. And if you know anything about Folly - you know Bert's Market may Doze....but they never close!
Recreational areas, including pickle ball and tennis courts are also located near by. A trip to Folly must include a visit to the historic Morris Island Light House, located on the east end of the island and a visit to the Folly Beach County Park on the west end.
No visit to Folly is complete without visiting historic Downtown Charleston, which is only a 12 mile drive.
After a full day in the sun or sightseeing, you can relax on our all-season front porch. There is a swing bed there to catch a nap or to people watch - I guarantee you - it's always interesting sights going by!
Our friends and family have always loved our place so much that we have decided to share it with you....we hope you love it as much as all of us!

Just wonderful! The cottage was well-appointed, exceptionally clean and had that perfect beach-y vibe. The location is great - we’ve stayed on Folly a number of times and we really enjoyed being closer to the downtown area, while also still being steps from the beach. We would love to come back!

We loved our stay here. The property was very clean and well maintained. You can tell that the owners really put a lot of thought into the property - it was well-furnished and well-appointed - kitchen was well-stocked with cookware for whatever you might need to make. The house was cozy and comfortable - it honestly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend, would definitely stay again.

The house had easy access to the beach, was very clean, was decorated beautifully, and we really enjoyed all the “extras” that were included like kitchen items and cleaning supplies. The owners are lovely people and they send correspondence in a timely fashion. I recommend this adorable home and would stay here again.

From the time we checked in we simply loved the cozy remodeled bungalow that is ideally located close to the beach and great restaurants. The hosts were wonderful and very attentive- Would Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a lovely vacation spot.

Folly beach Bungalow

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful chic bungalow. The place was spotless, so nicely updated and had a really perfect floorplan. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers and we all had our own space. The location was so perfect, just literally 5 minute easy walk to the beach. The photos don’t do this place justice, it has so much more space and charm than you see in the photos. Diane was so nice and communicative, responded quickly and was the perfect host. We will be back for sure!!

PERFECT! The house was amazing, and had everything our family of four needed and then some. The location was perfect, just a block from the beach in one direction and to our favorite restaurant in the other. The hosts were incredibly responsive to our every need. We planned this trip to visit our adult daughter living nearby. She stayed a couple of nights with us and we were all charmed by this beautiful cottage and its comforts. Also, the owners have it stocked with everything you would ever need! (toothbrush, curling iron, blow dryer, lotion, coffee, soaps, sunscreen, wagon,umbrella (came in handy during a heat wave), chargers, chairs and even condiments. Loved that it was an easy walk to everything but super quiet and peaceful. We also loved the outdoor shower. We look forward to returning to this little piece of paradise.

The best trip and host!

Our family of four from NYC has the best visit to Folly Beach thanks to Dianne and her adorable cottage. Both are gems. Steps away from the most beautiful beach as well as kitschy shopping makes this perfect for fun beach days. Our weather was perfect - just like everything else. :)

Quiet little bungalow

This was a perfect spot for us and the house was beautiful and laid out really well. Very easy check in and out and the owner was very easy to communicate with. Hopefully it’s available next time we’re in the area.

Perfect place for a relaxing stay

This was an incredible stay for our group. The hosts were so kind and responsive. Almost like talking to a friend! The house is well appointed and stocked with anything we needed for the stay. Super comfortable and well decorated. Fantastic kitchen and bathrooms! We will definitely be back and are super grateful to have found this gem in Folly!

Great location

This little cottage was great, perfect for two couples. Clean and spacious with lots of places to sit and relax. The front sun room was especially nice for people watching or reading. Short walking distance to the beach or restaurants. Host communication was excellent. Thanks for a great getaway!

The Cutest Beach Bungalow

This is the cutest little bungalow in the most convenient location! The pictures just don’t do it justice! It is wicked clean and has everything you need for a lazy beach visit - there is even a beach access path right across from the property. You will want to come back…guaranteed!

This bungalow was such a charming place. We fell in love with it the minute we walked through the door! It was perfect in every way.....every little consideration was thought of by our hosts. Surfing trip

We loved the house and the location. The daybed on the front porch was everyone’s favorite spot to relax. Both bathrooms look brand new, actually the whole house felt totally renovated and really well done. I’m sure we’ll be back.

A gem of a find!

Loved our stay! This bungalow is quaint and has everything we needed. I stayed with my four children ranging from 9 to 21 and it was tight, but comfortable. I appreciated the ample parking since that can be a challenge at Folly. The house was thoughtfully updated while maintaining that casual beach charm. The location really can't be beat -- close to the beach access and Bert's Market and a short walk to lots of dining choices. Thanks for a great stay, just wish it could have been a little longer!

Just a Wonderful Home in the Perfect Location!

Very nice home in which the owner kept the house true to it's past and surroundings but spared no expense with decor and amenities. Had to have spent a lot of time thinking of anything and everything guest would need for their vacation at Folly Beach. The location is a very short walking distance to everything. We plan to come back next year and will book this home very early just to make sure we can stay again. Have no desire to try anywhere else. The Davis Family, NC

Great stay at Folly Beach

This property was perfect for our family of four. We stayed for a week and could not have been happier with the property and location. The bungalow was very clean and nicely appointed. The front porch was a wonderful spot for morning coffee. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were perfectly clean and ideal for a family of four on a beach vacation. The home itself was easily a 10 out of 10 for its cleanliness and amenities. The location can't be beat. It was just a two minute walk to the beach, about five minutes to Center Street, and Bert's is just a half block away. We didn't use our car for much of the trip. The hosts, Chris and Dianne, we great to deal with. Very friendly and accommodating, and truly concerned with our enjoyment of their property. They were responsive and kept in touch as needed during our stay. Highly recommend this property and these hosts. My family would absolutely book this property again.
