I usually am very low maintenance when it comes to accommodations, but I want to leave a review for future guests to be aware of - both good and bad. I had inadvertently booked a weekend in the winter which I was called in to work on short notice and was unable to cancel the reservation and Toni worked with me to transition my reservation to a different cabin for a different weekend in the fall at no additional charge, which was absolutely wonderful. However, the booking did not get updated, so in reviewing the pictures of the accomodations and planning for our friends to come with us/sleeping arrangements, this was shocking when we got there. We made it work but it was deceiving by the pictures and how we consequently planned. When we arrived, it was dark and raining and although our code worked, there were no keys in the lockbox to get in. After 2 phone calls to the hosts and 2 written messages on the app without reply, we decided to try the emergency number, which wasn't answered and then by a stroke of luck, found a nice man closing the tavern (this was about 10pm) who called and had an external person (not the VRBO host/cabin owner) come from 15 min away to let us in. We finally got in and the accommodations were much smaller than anticipated (due to the incorrect cabin pictures). Multiple messages throughout the weekend went unanswered. The host did eventually call me to discuss 1 day into our stay and was kind and briefly apologized. Overall, not a comfortable stay.
