Back yard with porch, yard games, grill & fire pit if guests bring their own wood. Minutes to the lake, historic downtown & casino. Great summer fun in this great beach town!

My husband and 3 friends stayed the weekend to attend a ND football game. The home and surrounding area was very nice, close to fun entertainment, and an easy drive to South Bend for the game. We hope to be return guests!

My family and I just LOVE staying at this property. There is room for everyone, and so much stuff to do just around the property. Shuffleboard, card and board games, outside they have croquet or Corn hole boards in the backyard. Not to mention how close it is to everything around you. Every visit we feel like family coming for a stay, and we hate leaving each time! I highly recommend.

My teenage kids and I stayed here while visiting Indiana Dunes National Park. The property was perfect for our needs! It was clean, spacious, and a beautiful home. It was 20 minutes from the National Park which was great. And we loved Zorn Brewery a few blocks away. Some extra touches that we appreciated were having beach towels, toys for the beach, games, and the electronics charging stations. We also appreciated the condiments and mixes and the laundry in the basement. If we ever return to the area we would stay here again!

Comfortable home with lots to do nearby

We enjoyed our stay here. Several very good restaurants within walking distance. The home was comfortable. We spent hours playing shuffle board. Loved it. Would stay there again.

The best place ever!

We loved this house. The shuffle board and bumper table were a big hit for my kids. There were tons of games to play! Felt like home. It is an older house but has been taken good care of. Definitely would stay there again!!!

Great stay

This house was big, nice and right in the middle of all the things we wanted to do. We could walk to dinner. Have just a 10 min or less drive to the beach, zoo and gardens. It was easy to find and Ed made the process very easy! We would definitely stay there again!

Great location

We enjoyed our stay at this house. It was exactly as pictured. Beds were comfortable! They had games and a cute welcome package. The location is convenient to the beach and many restaurants. I would recommend this house and would stay here again.

Good space close to activities!

As advertised. Good space with room for us as two adults and four children. We found it very easy to navigate the area from the location. Walked down the street to Zorn Brewery one evening and enjoyed the last patio for food and music.

We have been renting this home for a few years now and we LOVE being here. So much space, games to play and just hanging out while we all do different things. This is the best place we have rented in the area and plan on hopefully renting here for a few more years to come. We have never had a bad stay and just love this place. I recommend staying here!!! 10 out of 10.

The house felt well cared for and very clean. The beds were comfortable, the AC units worked great, and the dishwasher was small but mighty. :) Any questions we had about the home were answered promptly during our stay. We would definitely consider vacationing in this home again.

Older Home but Great Location

The home is as stated, an older Victorian home with a lot of character and charm. We too love in an older Victorian home (1893), so it felt familiar and comfortable. There was plenty of room to spread out and we enjoyed the games in the game area each day! The beach, museums (Barker Mansion and the Old Lighthouse Museum) and amazing restaurants were literally minutes away! The location is excellent! We would definitely come back again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Victorian home. The property was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully prepared for guests. The host was friendly, easy to communicate with, and responded to messages promptly throughout our stay.One feature we especially appreciated was that each bedroom had its own adjustable air conditioning unit, allowing everyone to customize their comfort. The game room was a wonderful bonus—finding a bumper pool table was a pleasant surprise, and it provided hours of fun for our group.Although we did not need to use the washer and dryer, having them available was a great convenience. Despite the home being located on a main street, the evenings were remarkably quiet, and traffic noise was minimal.The owner truly thought of everything, providing nearly every amenity a guest could need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-equipped place to stay, and we look forward to returning in the future.

My husband and my 5 young children LOVED this place. The older children commented on how we wished that it was our own home back in Michigan. Pros: Easy- peasy check in felt that the unit was clean and inviting tons of board games, card games, as well as the cool shuffle board game (I knew that the bumper pool game was there, but made the executive "mom" decision to not disclose this to my children to keep things less hectic). was able to easily prepare meals with what was provided in the kitchen bedrooms were amazing bathroom was stocked with the things we needed full size washer and dryer with detergent if needed the rental is located so close to ALL of the cool things in the area (shopping, food, beach, etc). 3 Ring binder with all of the info needed for the unit, as well as for local establishments ROKU TV in the living room and bedrooms AC unit in each room for comfort control Excellent communication with host when needed easy street parking in front of the unit quiet neighborhoodCons: None that we could find. We were thrilled to be able to stay at this place and hope to be able to do so again in the future if the opportunity presents itself.

Contact was responsive and helpful throughout. House was cute. No vent over the stove so cooking burgers activated smoke alarm the entire time. Kids said bunk beds felt more wiggly and unstable than the ones at home. Kitchen was well stocked. Sleeps 8 but only had 3 bath towels

Cute, old house near the Indiana dunes. We enjoyed a couple of local restaurants nearby. The host communicated well, the property was reasonably priced, and everything was pretty smooth.The only downside, which isn't the host's fault, is that it is an old house. It hasn't been redone in a long time, and there is a certain...aura. The bedrooms are a little musty, which wouldn't be a problem for most people, but my wife has asthma and is pretty sensitive even for an asthmatic. She wound up sleeping in the living room, which has more airflow, and took Zyrtec.So...I recommend staying here to enjoy the area! Unless you have a breathing condition.

Stayed Aug 13-15, 2025 for a wedding. Very spacious & was stocked with some supplies. Since its an older building there is no A/C but instead window units. It was very warm when we got there but cooled off fast. The only issues was outlet in living room wasn't working, so my husband reset the breaker & all was good. I did notice the smoke detector open in bunk bed room with no battery in it that other people mentioned. Otherwise would recommend!

Secret Gem

We had a few bumps along the way. But Ed was really great in communicating with us the entire weekend. My kids and I LOVED staying here and have agreed that this is our #1 choice for next year. Only negative was on us and not the property, and that is my crew can be slightly loud and there are long term tenants upstairs that you need to be respectful of. Aside from that, we were close to EVERYTHING, The Light House Place, Blue Chip Casino, the BEACH!! If you are an older group, there is the brewery right around the corner in walking distance. The house is so spacious that you are never on top of anyone else in the house. The bunk beds in the photos does not give them justice- you can fit 2 on the lower bed for sure. In fact the photos do not do justice for the property as a whole. And we highly recommend staying here.
