We enjoyed our stay here and really liked the location. It was a quiet neighborhood conveniently close to grocery stores and many fun things to do. It is close enough to go to Key West or Islamorada for the day. Sombrero Beach is close by and was a great spot for sunsets. Make sure to have plenty of bug repellant if you go out and about though. We all got bit over the course of our trip and I usually don’t get bit. The canal was nice for my son to go fishing. We did not see many fish or other wildlife like others have mentioned unfortunately. We really enjoyed the pool table and ping pong table as well as the theater area on the bottom floor. Please note that you have to go outside to get downstairs. We spent a little time in the pool but got bit by noseeeums we think so we didn’t spend a lot of time out by the pool. The screened porch made a nice lunch spot to sit outside and enjoy the weather. The house was mostly very clean with the only knock being that the previous renter must have had a dog that shed quite a bit so there was dog hair we swept up in the floor. The airplanes were not terrible but were a bit louder than we expected. They do however only run mostly during day hours and are not an issue late at night or early morning. The windows in the living room will not shut all the way but the owner did say those will be replaced. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Overall we had a good week.
