Location, location location! Welcome to Grey Pine Cabin in Tahoe Vista, centrally located to all that North Lake Tahoe has to offer year round. Well-appointed cabin sleeps 6 plus children and is fenced and dog friendly. Walkable to many restaurants and shops near the lake as well as to the beach itself.
This cabin is in a peaceful neighborhood just steps to the classic, popular Brockway Golf Course where vacation homes are dotted along the greens. From our cabin, you and your family can enjoy activities and amenities such as:
Skiing and Boarding In winter, you can be on the slopes at multiple resorts, as we are located less than 8 miles from Northstar, or 17 miles to Palisades, Alpine Meadows or Mt Rose.
Swimming Popular in summer with kids and adults alike, the beaches along Agate Bay hum in the summer - you'll get a head start and avoid parking headaches, because we are less than 1 mile away from North Tahoe Beach, Moon Dune Beach, Secline Beach and Kings Beach. There is even a dog friendly beach next to the boat ramp!
Paddling and Kayaking Along with Kings Beach, you can also rent paddleboards and kayaks in Tahoe Vista Recreation Area and Boat Launch, under 2 miles away.
Hiking and Biking Northstar also offers mountain biking in summer/fall, and there are many trails steps from the cabin, as well as biking trails from North Tahoe Regional Park less than 3 miles away. Bike rentals can be found in Kings Beach,
Golfing Brockway Golf Course is a hop and a skip away, and a bonus is Spindleshanks located on the golf course, a highly rated restaurant with outdoor dining.
Dog Beach Kings Beach is 1 mile from the house offering dog-friendly beach area left side off the boat launch off Raccoon St. There is another dog beach at Waterman's Landing a few miles away in Carnelian Bay.

MAIN LEVEL When you enter our home from the sunny front deck, you will be greeted by our open concept living area and dining space that seats 6-8, and fully equipped kitchen with gas stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, and other appliances in the ample cabinet space. We also offer a full coffee bar with many options.
Also on the main level is the first queen bedroom and full bathroom (with heated floors, toiletries, and shower/bathtub). Continue down the hall, and you will see our back door leading to our backyard deck, propane grill, and outdoor seating area. Perfect for summer barbecues!
SECOND LEVEL Walking upstairs you will find our second queen bedroom, and a large open loft space with a Cal king sized bed and a full size futon. Also on this level is a desk with a printer for working vacations, a full bathroom with a standing shower, and a laundry room equipped with a stacking washer and dryer.
HOUSE INFO: - PARKING: Parking in driveway will fit 2 cars. (street parking is not permitted during winter months due to snow plowing) - BEAR BOX: located in driveway for all trash disposal, extra bags available - A/C: Like most homes in Lake Tahoe, our home does not have air conditioning. - BACKYARD: The backyard is usually snow covered in the winter months so outdoor furniture may not be accessible. - SNOW REMOVAL: Snow removal service will remove snow in driveway while cars are not parked, stakes are there to guide the snowplow, remember to keep stakes intact. Shovels are also available for use in clearing pathways when needed.

Remember to never feed bears or any wildlife, and to remove all food (yes, even gum and candy!) from cars. LOCK house and all car doors to prevent bears from entering and damaging your vehicle. We cannot be responsible for any damage to vehicles or belongings from bears foraging in the neighborhood.

Excellent home in a great location
Very well appointed cabin. Everything was dialed and fully equipped. The kitchen even has high quality pots and pans which is a rarity in Tahoe. Great location and fairly to the lake. Will be back.

Wonderful stay
The house is just as pictured. It fit our group perfectly . Four adults and two children. There are extra floor chairs that aren’t pictured but were perfect for kids. We were very happy and enjoyed our stay very much . Upstairs has very large loft room with so much space. The whole house was much bigger than I thought it would be . Great stay . We live in the greater bay area and like many, we've been coming up to Tahoe every year to ski and enjoy the lake ever since we were kids. We realized we wanted to have our own little place to call home up here, and bought our cabin in 2009. Since then, we have remodeled it 100% from the ground up.
We had a wonderful local contractor whose mom lives in our neighborhood help us rebuild our house. We did a lot of the work inside the house ourselves, as well as all of the landscaping. Our dining room live edge table was handmade by my husband out of wood recovered from a fallen Monterey Cypress tree, and the coffee table was handmade from a fallen redwood tree in Northern California. The large log bed was hand crafted in Montana from local pine. Several of the side tables were recovered from fallen walnut and oak tress, sanded and stained by myself and my husband!
We have so many great memories hosting family and friends in the cabin over the years in every season. Many a Thanksgiving holiday has been spent here warming up next to the fire in the wood stove watching the first snowfall of the winter. We've had lots of memorable ski weekends with friends, as well as summer holidays on the water boating, and even in the fall with so many great hikes around the lake. We love to travel the globe and still have many places on our bucket list, but nothing so far beats the clear blue water and the sunny skies of Lake Tahoe!
We hope you enjoy the natural beauty in and around Lake Tahoe as much as we do!

Our cabin is centrally located for year-round Tahoe enjoyment. Walkable to the lake, coffee shops, restaurants and equipment rental shops. We are dog friendly with a fully fenced yard and only a mile away from a dog beach (Raccoon St boat launch). Our house has been remodeled from the ground up. Our intention when remodeling was to use as much local material from the mountain west as possible (made in Tahoe, western US, or handmade). Both the exterior and interior siding is actually made of pine formerly used as snow fencing along miles and miles of the heavy snow laden highways of Wyoming. After reaching its useful life on the highways, it was dismantled and brought here for a new purpose on our house as rustic, grey pine wood that is naturally weather proof as is! As all of the interior rooms are also made from the snowfence, giving it an "old west" barnwood appeal.
