Nous avons passé une superbe semaine du 26 juillet au 2 août. Nous étions 6 adultes et 3 enfants, tous confortablement installés. Nous aurions pu facilement accueillir 2-3 personnes de plus grâce à l’immense salon et au divan lit. La cour est incroyable! Immense et bien organisée. Beaucoup de jeux, beau foyer au gaz, grande table extérieure près du bbq et de belles lumières qui s’allument dès que Le Soleil se couche! Et que dire de la douche extérieure, tellement agréable.

Always a great stay

Love the added backyard fire table and lighting this year. Beautiful fenced in backyard. Outdoor shower. Lots of room in the house. Very clean. New washer and dryer is very convenient on the main floor. Half mile walk to the beach. Quiet location. Jeff is always very responsive. He and his wife even left us a s’mores care package for the 4th. Kids loved it! Great hosts, great house. Highly recommend!

Perfect Beach House

We just got back from our first visit to Old Orchard Beach. My husband and I and our 5 kids stayed at this cute house during our stay. It was awesome! The house was clean and spacious. The kitchen has everything you need. They have a great beach cart and chairs there for you, so you dont have to pack all that. You can walk to the pier and the beach. We would drive to the beach just bc it was easier with 5 kids and all our gear, but in the evening we would walk to the pier and it was an easy 5-10 minute walk. The house is in a quiet neighborhood that we enjoyed walking around looking at all the different little beach cottages. The hosts were great. The backyard was beautiful with cornhole and other yard games. Additonal outdoor shower was a bonus with 7 of us trying to shower after the beach. We would DEFINITELY stay here again!

Beautiful home

Spacious home with plenty of room for family dinners, inside or outside. Games for adults and kids. Grill for burgers and plenty of dish ware (with a dishwasher if you forget paper goods). 7 months pregnant and the 15 minute walk to the beach was manageable, thanks to the wagon they provide. Would definitely recommend and will be back in the future.

Fourth year here and hopefully not the last!

We love coming here. Great location, walkable to the beach. Big fenced in backyard for the dogs. Very clean and lots of room for family and friends. Quiet neighborhood. Jeff is always very attentive and quick to respond to any need. Thanks for another great family vacation, Jeff!

Fantastic stay!

Our family of 9 vacationed here for a week and had a great time! Plenty of room in the common areas for playing games, eating, hanging out… we even got everyone to watch the presidential debate on tv in the living room. What a joke - Haha! The walk to the pier was fine (we range from very fit on down to your “average” American body types) and had no problems. We walked back and forth numerous times to go grab some Bill’s pizza & fries, and play arcade games, ride rides, etc. Also convenient to the beach and we used the beach cart to pull our cooler and chairs down with no issues. There is a nice big back yard where we spent a few afternoons grilling out and playing badminton, corn hole, etc. Jeff is an awesome host who was easily reachable and responsive. While visiting, he brought us extra beach & Adirondack chairs, badminton & volley ball net, etc. The cottage has all the items you need to prepare meals, and has bath towels, linens and blankets. And I thought having only a bath and a half may be an issue with 9 adults but went surprisingly smooth. You know… your vacation is only as great as the people you vacation with. Blessed to have an amazing family of my own to do life with!!! God bless!

Perfect for dog owners!

We booked this place because we needed a pet-friendly house with lots of space close to the beach. It was absolutely ideal! The yard is huge and fenced in which allowed for stress-free relaxing outside without having to exclude the dog! The yard alone is worth the short walk to the beach and the fold up beach cart was a huge bonus! We brought beach chairs and found that there were plenty already provided. Most days we loaded up our vehicle with all our beach gear and unloaded everything in the 10 minute parking spots right next to the pier. Then my husband would drive back to the house and by the time we’d set everything up he had already walked back to join us. This saved us having to lug everything we needed for 8 people, but a group of fit adults could easily carry their gear from the house. The host was very friendly and responsive. Photos of the listing are accurate. I read a lot of reviews complaining about the upstairs bathroom sink lacking pressure which I thought was an odd complaint. Yes, that specific sink does lack pressure but I don’t need a fire hose to wash my hands and brush my teeth and the shower had plenty of pressure so we were all happy. Our entire group agreed that we should book the place every year!

Family Vacation

Great summer house!

This house was perfect for our family week away! We had a few rainy days so the large living room and dining room were great for everyone to hangout and play games in. The outside space was awesome for dinners and lounging after the kiddos went to bed. I would highly recommend this house for families!

Family Vaca

My family and I recently stayed at this property and enjoyed our annual OOB vacation with lots rest and relaxation. The house itself it spacious, very family friendly (plenty of games and backyard fun for everyone). There was plenty of parking in the driveway (which initially made us nervous with no on-street parking — because our teens have their license now, so they brought their own car). We barely used our cars (yes, even the teens left the cars and opted to walk to town instead). We enjoyed a cut through a small park/dog park to the beach each day, with the beach cart provided by the owner of the property. Our teens chose the direct route towards Walgreens and the beginning of the shops and made it to the beach must faster than we did. Mornings were nice and peaceful! We enjoyed a cup of coffee in the sun and a daily visit from the neighborhood cat, Riley, the sweetest, friendliest cat we’d ever met. Cornhole and volleyball in the backyard were one of the highlights of our family fun in the backyard. BYOVB if you’d like to use the net, as we were not able to find one for ourselves in the storage box (though, we were able to purchase one out of town). Jeff, the owner/property contact was immediately responsive to any inquiries we had, the check-in/check-out process was as smooth as possible, with plenty of information included with instructions for the property.

Gem of a home in an okay neighborhood

We had a wonderful stay in this home and really enjoyed our summer vacation in Maine. The property itself was just what we needed for a home base while we were at the beach or exploring Maine. The neighborhood was just ok, but we weren't really around enough to have it bother us. The water pressure upstairs in the half bath made the sink basically unusable, but we just used the bathroom on the first floor and loved the outdoor shower too! My only other issue is that two of the four bedrooms did not have air conditioning and it was hot. There were a few nights that one of the bedrooms was not usable because of this. I just wish that was made clear upfront. Other than those few minor things, the place was great! There was plenty of beach stuff - chairs and wagon that we would've used if we walked to the beach. Thanks for a great week in your home!

Always a great place

We’ve stayed here every year for the past three years. Quick walk away from the beach. Beautiful fenced in backyard. Jeff the host is awesome. Extremely responsive and helpful. Our whole family loves it.

Excellent family vacation year after year!

Our family, which includes 3 generations, has stayed in this home multiple times throughout the years. We have also tried other houses in the area and we keep returning back to Jeff’s house. This house is very comfortable and there is plenty of room to hold all of us. The location is great, close to the beach and everything else. The home is clean, welcoming, fully stocked, and has a great backyard for our kids to all play. We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to have a stress free vacation in OOB! See you next year!

Old Orchard Beach Summer fun

We arrived at the house and it was very clean. There was plenty of room for all of is in the large living room and there was a lot of room for all of us at the dinning room table for dinner and games at night. The back yard was a great size for the dog to run around and they had lots of yard games to use including corn hole. The downstairs bedroom was a little warm so we kept the fan running. Two of the upstairs bedrooms had window AC and were cool and the other had a fan and seemed to stay cool for our grandson. It was around an 8 to 10 minute walk to the beach as advertised and we made the walk with their provided chair buggy one day and then parked by the beach the other days. It was a very hot week outside so we wanted the AC in the car to go to the beach and back. Over all we really enjoyed our stay at the house and it was just as described. Thanks for the great time.

Family Getaway

It's an old home, so there is character to the place. The back yard was a nice place to hold family dinners and the kitchen was well stocked with necessary pots, pans and so forth. While the photos on VRBO are accurate, there are a few noteworthy items future renters should take into consideration. The dishwasher in the kitchen is not attached to the wall and will fall out when you try to load it. We chose to use the sink to wash the dishes so as to not cause more issues. The half bath sink faucet in the upstairs bedroom lacks water pressure -- regardless of whether anything else is running or not. This was brought up with the owner, who felt it was the City's issue. Given that this is Maine, even in the summer, plan to pack a few blankets. We made a Target run for these!

Backyard is great for kids and pets.

We rented here primarily for the backyard and it's location close to the Pier and attractions. If you have kids and/or pets this is a great place to stay. Short drive to Ocean Park for free parking and great uncrowded beaches. 10-12 minute walk to the main center of arcades and shops. Great playground and dog park within walking distance.

Backyard and kitchen cabinets

The grass needed to be cut. I thought there was suppose to be a volleyball net set up if so it wasn't. Kitchen draws were dirty. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and it was nice to come home to a quiet neighborhood.
