Esta villa está ubicada en un hermoso vecindario en el centro de Cape Coral. Cerca de todos los restaurantes, Cape Coral Yacht Club y playa. Este lote de esquina muy espacioso (18417 pies cuadrados) está ubicado justo en el canal para su fácil acceso al Golfo de México y las playas de Fort Myers y Sanibel. Not What We Expected!!!!!😒😩😥

There were many disappointing things! Read the fine print. Pictures of rooms are definitely NOT ACCURATE!!!! NO heated pool, NO cancellation possible, Property was dirty and old furniture that was uncomfortable, only one of the two TVs listed worked and then we had problems with that, dishes were filthy!, only one sliding shower door when there should have been two and the one that was there broke free and that nearly caused serious injuries, very old very low toilets, Many light switches did not work and there is question as to the safety of the electrical system. Manager was helpful in securing bath towels, new grill, shower curtains and bath mats and laundry basket all of which were not here. Many times however she never responded. Would never stay here again!!!!!!!!

Some issues NOT anyone's understanding fault because excessively cold weather was unusual, but thermostat wouldn't enable heat. Then when weather returned to normal, wouldn't enable air conditioning. Pool totally unusable. Ants migrated from nest outside Master Bedroom to bath, then kitchen until pest control finally came. Both bathroom sink faucets need replaced. Need more ice cube trays.

Quick response

Property was great. There was some damage to screen room when we arrived. There was a team there to fix it within 2hours. That area is where we spent most of our time so it made our stay wonderful. Even got to see wild life in the back yard (iguanas).was awesome

Loved Florida

Unfortunately the house we had rented was sold and we were left scrambling to find another that welcomed pets. Casa Maria was overpriced for what we were typically booking. There were many challenges but being a DIY type, we were able to overcome most of them. And thanks to Marie the property manager who was quick to respond to issues and order items and reimburse us for items we had to purchase, we were able to enjoy our stay and the next renters should have fewer issues. The pool is large with lots of room to swim and plenty of space in the lanai. It took a couple of days to determine that the auto setting for the solar panels was not working and had to be set manually to direct the water to the solars … then the pool started to warm up. But we were losing heat at night, so the re-heat cycle had to be repeated daily. We ended up buying a pool cover and that provided great pool temps early morning.(the property manager agreed to buy the cover so future renters will have a warm pool). The salt cell or control was not working so the pool service had to add chlorine. Supposedly a new unit is on order. The yard is huge on the canal side. Lots of room for your pet. Fences on both sides but open to the road side. The driveway is double wide and there is room in the garage for a single vehicle if required. The rooms are a good size except small bathrooms that are typical of that era. Brand new mattresses provided great sleeps along with A/C that worked fine. The kitchen facilities were adequate although we picked up a spare set of utensils as only 4 spoons so next tenants will be well supplied. BBQ worked fine and is quite large. Lanai chairs were rusted and leaving marks on pool deck. We patched the bottoms and put rubber feet on then. Apparently a new set of chairs is on order. Two of the chaise lounges were replaced before we departed (so now there are 4 good ones). Lovely place to enjoy your breakfast and coffee in the morning. Being on a dead end canal, the fishing was poor and we saw no dolphins or manatee but there are other nearby parks where you can see them. Good neighbours, especially Mike and his dog Roxie at the beginning of the street…stop and talk and learn all about the neighbourhood. We ended up having a great vacation and can’t wait to return to Florida in 2023.

2020 visit

Replace the bed master bedroom carpet in master needs professional cleaning. Toilet seats both need to be replaced. Lightning was insufficient throughout house. Should have entertainment center in main living room. Pool was nice but would turn green before service returned. Refrigerator needs to be serviced. The rental service person Erin that we dealt with was exceptional.

2 months of sunshine

We enjoyed our 2 month stay during Jan. & Feb. 2020. The lanai was spacious with plenty of seating and the BBQ was large and clean. Outside maintenance was good and done regularly during our stay. The solar heating of the pool was greatly appreciated, and a solar blanket would be a great addition. The beds were comfortable, but unfortunately there were not any screens on the 2 back bedroom windows, so we were unable to open them for circulation. The main living area is a good size, although there is not any comfortable seating in the T.V. room. Also, if you want to eat in the dining room, it has to be before sunset (5:30 in the winter) because there is no overhead lighting and some of the outlets don't work. The main area of the house was easy to keep clean, but the wooden toilet seats need to be replaced. We had concerns about the hygienic state of them since the finish was degraded. Our utility bill was OK, but would have been reduced considerably if the appliances (fridge, dryer & washer) were newer and energy efficient. The fridge rarely turned off. Overall, it is a large home, in a quiet neighbourhood, conveniently located. It would be good for a family vacation rental. We basically lived in the lanai and enjoyed the weather!

Vacation

Overall the stay was ok. We had several problems but Erin the property manager was very responsive. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and felt very safe. Stores were short drive. The pool never got very warm so only swam a little.

Great location

Located in a quiet neighborhood in Cape Coral, Casa Maria is close to parks, beaches, restaurants and shopping. It's a quick trip to Ft. Myers. The 4 bedroom, 2 bath house was plenty large enough for our purposes. We spent most of the time outside in the lanai and pool area. The kitchen is well equipped - we cooked most of our meals there, as we didn't want to leave the lanai. There's generally a nice breeze through the house, so you don't have to run the air conditioner.

Except for a couple hiccups, our stay was nice. This rental is very dated, but clean. It’s big enough for everyone to have they’re own space. The cooking utensils in the kitchen needed to be replaced desperately. The pool area is nice, and the view to the canal is pretty. The neighborhood is nice as well.

Wonderful home and experience

The house was exactly as described. Very quiet neighborhood with easy access to dining and activities. Everything that was needed was there such as linens, towels, beach towels, cooking utensils, dishes and cleaning supplies. It was absolutely beautiful sitting by the pool and being able to look out at the canal behind the home. Management was so sweet. Would recommend to anyone to stay here and we will again. One of the best homes we have stayed at I would give this home a 10+ out of 10.

Not what we paid for...

Stayed at Casa Maria Feb 1 to 28, 2018. Should have know we were not getting what we paid for from the first day.. Pool was dirty, kitchen was dirty. Pots and pans were awful .. (did get new set of pots and pans.) No broom or mop to use, vacuum was full and filter was clogged had to clean and wash out filter. New sheets were on the kitchen counter ready for us to put on beds!! Small bath towels were also on kitchen counter.. Pool temperature was 59 degrees.. pump was not working for the first 17 days we were there no solar cover to put over pool as directed in booklet on Kitchen counter from management company.. we did find 2 pieces of a solar cover in garage but later found out that was not for the pool.. did finally get solar cover for pool on the 16th day and pool pump was finally replaced on the 17th day.. Could not use pool, way to cold to swim.. Rented this place because of the private pool.. can say for our remainder of our stay once the pool pump was replaced it was able to circulate the water to the solar on the roof of the house and the temperature was good.. and was able to swim 2 to 3 times a day..although the salt filter still didn't work so they needed to use chemicals to regulate the pool.. In one day we had electrician come at 8 am (to find out why breaker was tripping), handyman at noon (to change lock/dead bolt on the front door) and pool company at 3 (to look at pool pump).. Filter for central Air was clogged and had to be replaced.. dryer didn't dry clothes very well had to use twice the time to get them dry.. also there was lint and clothing behind dryer that had to be removed. Very disappointed in the management company that we had to deal with.. first person quit and we were never told that he left or who we would need to contact until I sent a text about something we needed taken care of.. We did get our damage deposit returned in full and was not charged for the electric..but for what we lost in the first 17 days that doesn't come close to what we should have gotten back.. Would not rent this place again.. or deal with any property that this management company handles.. Did ask for more of a refund but have not heard back from the management company at this time.
