Recent remodel - Large 1BR w/ ocean view and walk to excellent beaches/eateries
Recently Remodeled (2021)!
Large 1BR unit at highly desirable Shores of Maui. The Shores is a place that people return to year after year, so once you've stayed there you'll likely do the same and return for years to come. A small 50 unit condominium complex with a mix of local residents and units for rental, this complex offers a newly restored tennis court with two pickleball courts (bring your paddles!), a beautiful pool with ocean views, BBQs and a nice sitting area for an evening at the BBQ/pool/hot tub. Excellent restaurants are within close walking distance both directions from the unit, with a grocery nearby as well.
Unit comes stocked with a cart that can be used to go to the beach and to shop at the store. The owners often stay at the unit without even renting a car, it's so conveniently located.
Unit is well stocked with Beach goodies, and has plenty of space to relax after a long day at the beach or on a hike / trip to Hana.
Complex is across the street from Cove Park where you can take surfing lessons (Maui Wave Riders), rent a paddleboard / surfboard (same place), or just watch others doing the same. Just a 5 minute walk away is Charley Young Beach one of the best swimming beaches in Kihei, and a great place to spend the morning looking for sea turtles, or the afternoon / early evening enjoying the water and/or doing some skimboarding.
Kitchen is well stocked and ready for your cooking should you choose not to eat at one of the wonderful restaurants in South Kihei. We recommend a reservation at Three's, as well as a walk to Coconuts and a visit to Cafe O'Lei. For cooler refreshments, try a visit to Surfing Monkey for ice cream or shaved ice, and for adult beverages, do a quick uber to Maui Brewing up the hill (5 mins away by car). If you do take a car and are more interested in the Wailea scene, it is about a 5-10 minute drive down the road where you can get a Monkeypod Mai Tai (though we are more partial to those at the Tiki bar in Kihei).
The owners love the area and are happy to give recommendations so feel free to ask!
The unit has an open floor plan (no door on the bedroom) so be aware of that if you are concerned about privacy (inside the unit). Full bathroom with on-demand hot water unit. Dishwasher and Washer/Dryer in unit. TVs in main room and bedroom.
NON-SMOKING unit / complex. There is an outdoor designated smoking area on the complex near the southeast corner of the parking lot. Any smoking in the unit or on non-designated areas of the complex is strictly prohibited.
