Great Location, Beautiful, Comfortable, Clean, Pet Friendly

The prior review mentioned the microwave & dishwasher were not operable. The dishwasher did work - must have been fixed. The microwave in the kitchen did not work, but there was one in the mother-in-law's (MIL) suite that worked well. We googled instructions on using the heat/ ac & it worked well. The door in the MIL suite was unlocked. We were able to lock it after fiddling with it for some time. Master bath shower heads are all adjustable. The shower head that was spraying out of the shower needed to be tilted in a different direction. We were able to make an easy adjustment with a broom handle. The barn doors in there didn't seem heavy and did not fall off, so perhaps they were fixed. The hot tub was working and on, but we did not use it. It did look pretty high, but you could easily use a chair. Master bed mattress was comfy and sheets were soft. Lighting inside (except master bathroom) was great! We travel with a large dog and he was comfy here too. Plenty of space in the master for his XL crate. Just be aware that there are no side gates in yard - plan to supervise your dog. The house has everything except maybe a BBQ - I'm sure most don't come here to cook, but there were plenty of plates, cups, utensils, pots/ pans. Keurig coffee maker and pods (~ 12), tea bags, creamers, sugar were provided. The hot tub and rooftop deck were a plus! We loved our stay. If you are looking in this area for a vacation rental, I highly recommend this one! We will be back!

Pretty but Flawed

The property was in an excellent location. The house was extremely beautiful and well laid out. We did have an issue with the cleanliness of the house - a significant amount of loose hair in all the bedding (had to rewash all the sheets night one and there are no spare sheets or blankets), hair clogging the front shower drain, chew toy and trash under the master bed, exterior trash cans overflowing with trash and looked like they hadn’t been taken out in weeks (we checked in on Friday, trash day is Thursday), used Keurig pod left in Keurig, popcorn left in microwave, and trash and game cards jammed under fireplace in living room. We also had issues with getting the exterior door in the front bedroom to lock (unlocked when we got there) tried calling the contact number but no one answered, left a voicemail but never got a response. Tried calling them again the next night for the AC/Heaters - couldn’t get them to swap from one mode to the other. No answer. Messaged on VRBO and got a response, he stated his cellular was acting up and that’s why he couldn’t receive or call out. He told us to turn all the units off and back on (Already had tried). Ended up having to flip the breaker to get them to swap. We asked he have someone look into that after check out and we managed through it. They did not do anything about the trash running over and clearly don’t check it regularly. Fireplace and fire pit don’t seem to work and neither does kitchen microwave. Shower shelves unusable.

Looks are deceiving

Looks are deceiving!!! Trust me, you will want to spend a little more money and get a place that you will enjoy. The price is low for a reason. If it’s too good to be true, it is. There was a laundry list of issues with this home. I spoke to VRBO, the Home Owner, and the Property Management. None of the issues were addressed or fixed. We had a week long stay and the property disappointed the whole time. The Microwave and Dishwasher didn’t work. The Home Owner said that I should have known when the listing didn’t list a microwave or dishwasher. So the pictures are not an accurate representation of what you are to expect in the kitchen. Next, there are zero instructions on how to use the house. Such as the heat/AC system. It’s different in every room and the system didn’t work in the front bedroom . The door to the outside from the “casita” didn’t lock. So the home was not secure and the room was cold. Try taking a shower in a cold room and have the shower barely trickle water. It has a rain shower head, and when turned on, it sprayed everywhere but in the shower. So then the marble floors got wet and were like an ice skating rink. Unsafe. The Hot Tub. No stairs to get in or out. Was not able to use it because Senior Citizens cant crawl in and out of it. The heavy Barn Door in master fell on my husband day 1. If it fell on a child it would be disastrous. There are many more issues but not enough space to list it. Hopefully this helps others !!
