WIFI included - Walk out your back door right to the beautiful Jackson River. One of the top trout fishing places in Virginia. Located close to The Greenbrier, The Homestead, Douthat State Park, and Lake Moomaw. Steps away from the Jackson River scenic trail, national forest, golf courses and kayaking from the back yard. This is a outdoor lovers paradise. Please bring your own toiletries (towels & shampoo etc.)

It was a beautiful stay, the host was quick response and fixing the issue when our AC stop working, the hot water had a rotten egg smell but we just used the cold water. The river was easy to get into especially for a 4 year old to play in. Lots if adventures nearby to explore.We enjoyed our week long stay.

Weekend stay

Wonderful property, beautiful views, awesome river access for trout fishing with clear water. Very clean with comfortable king bed. Quiet area for a weekend getaway to the mountains.

Great riverfront property!

Great jumping off point for our Jackson River and Lake Moomaw floats. Added bonus were the five kayaks and Canoe the house had for our use. Thanks again Bobby!

Awesome Property out of the way. Love the Fire pit and picnic table right on the river. Love that road heading down to the property what a marvel of engineering. Plenty of room with lots of amenities.

Weekend Getaway

Absolutely love this river front property. Spacious yard to hangout and spend the evening by the fire close to the water. Lake moomaw and The Homestead very close to property. Definitely recommend this property for a great getaway, can’t wait to return!

Beautiful secluded property! House/Cabin plenty of anemnities, sits on Jackson river. Plenty of property to fish,kayak,have a fire enjoy nature and spend time with family and friends.

Hidden Gem

We stayed here this past weekend to go spend the day at the Homestead. We will definitely be returning here in the summer to enjoy the river in the front yard and spend time fishing the river and Lake Moomaw. The owner has access to kayaks and a canoe to float the river. There is an awesome walking trail walking distance from this property. A great weekend deal with lots of amenities around!

Positives: Nice cabin in an awesome location. Having the river right there is really very nice. Negtives: The water in the house is very hard and the hot water smells awful, so much so that nobody wanted to run the tap or take a shower because it made the whole house smell like skunks. A water softener and an anode rod in the hot water tank (and lots of hydrogen peroxide) would be an enormous help. Also, the main bedroom with the king bed just off the kitchen has no curtains, so plan on waking up with the sunrise. The house layout is weird. You have to walk through this "bedroom" to access the wooden deck from inside the house. Deck looks into bedroom as there are no curtains as previously mentioned.Would have been nice to have a supply of wood near the fire pit. Just broken beer bottles in there when we arrived.Overall, not a bad place, but needs someTLC to bring it up to what you would expect for 300/night.
