Bluff Mtn Retreat Oct '26

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Breathtaking views from back porch. Sunrise illuminating the turning leaves. House was very clean and comfortable. The only drawbacks were the extremely steep and curved driveway and the old hot tub needs replaced or just taken out and a setee placed there. None of these would stop me from returning.
Respuesta de VrboOwner el 26 de oct de 2026
Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re delighted that you enjoyed the breathtaking views, beautiful fall colors, and sunrise from the back porch, and that you found the home clean and comfortable. We appreciate your feedback regarding the driveway and hot tub. To clarify, the steep and curved portion is the access road leading to the property, while the driveway itself circles around the house to provide easier access. The hot tub is maintained regularly, and the deck has recently been updated to enhance the outdoor experience. We’re glad to hear that these concerns wouldn’t keep you from returning, and we would love to welcome you back for another beautiful mountain getaway with Carolina Mountain Vacation Rentals!

Beautiful view from the from deck but chairs were locked down and couldn’t be moved, there was no shade from the sun and no cushions in the chairs. So we could not enjoy the outdoors. Left early.

Great Place for a Mountain Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bluff Mtn Retreat met all our expectations. We spent most of our time on the large covered deck. Even though it rained most days we were there, it was still enjoyable. The house is conveniently located to all our favorite places. It has a large open area in the kitchen/great room and comfortable beds. It was cool enough one evening, we got to have a fire in the fireplace. I would definitely recommend this rental We have gone through Carolina Mountain Vacation Rentals quite a few years to rent cabins in this area and have always been very pleased!

Beautiful backdrop!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will want to come again! Beds were comfy, hot tub was clean, and you really can’t beat the views!! I would suggest bringing grippy socks or house slippers bc the floors are kind of slick.

Peaceful and relaxing

5 of us stayed for our annual girls’ trip. We loved sitting out on the balcony, used the hot tub, visited downtown and a nearby winery (highly recommend!) and hiked the Grayson highlands and saw the wild ponies.

Had a fantastic experience! From ease of check-in to beautiful views, fun activities and comfy beds - it was a great getaway. Bluff Mountain Retreat was perfect for our party of 7 (that included 3 boys age 13). The accommodations included everything we needed and more. The hot tub was relaxing and game room was entertaining. Even though it was a little chilly and rainy, we opted for an afternoon of Monopoly (from the game room). Love this rental property and West Jefferson! Can’t wait to go back!
