2nd Time

2nd time staying at this quaint cabin. Loved the addition of the hot tub. Wish the weather would’ve been better to enjoy the outdoor fire pit. Overall enjoyed our stay and would book again.

peaceful location

Liked the location and the proximity to Blue Ridge Pkwy and New River. We enjoyed the fire pit and front porch. The couches in the living room were stained and unpleasant to sit on. Overall great property. Will recommend it to friends

Perfect Spot

This was our first time in this area and we chose it mostly for the cabin which had room for our family of 6. To our pleasant surprise, we were situated in the perfect location to enjoy West Jefferson, the New River and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We loved exploring all the area had to offer and then coming back to our sweet cabin to sit in the hot tub and make s’mores. We made so many wonderful memories here and already can’t wait to come back!

Peaceful and very comfortable cabin in private setting

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cute and very clean cabin with everything we needed, more than expected. Enjoyed sitting on the deck after a fun day exploring the area. Only negative was the long and curvey one-lane road to the cabin.

The property was spacious and just as described. The hot tub was great. Everything worked and plenty of kitchenware to make meals. I didn’t like all of the dog hair everywhere and the road was pretty steep which I was not prepared for. It should be mentioned in the property detail.

Our stay at App State of Mind

Reasonable price and lovely property. The road up to property is steep though. Nice and quiet with no close neighbors. Just relaxing and peaceful.

Spectacular

What a beautiful home located in the mtns just 15 mins to Downtown West Jefferson. The place was big, clean , easy check in with exceptional communication. The views are amazing, hot tub we used in the evening which was easy to use and very clean. The house had all the amenities so we were able to cook our meals after our hikes and enjoy on the one of several chairs, swings , porches throughout the property. AWESOME!

App State was great! The cabin was perfect for our family and had everything we needed. We loved that the place was kid and dog friendly. Grocery stores were a short drive away if we needed anything. We had a great stay and hope to visit again!

Wonderful Cozy Cabin

My family and I spent a brief weekend here and loved it. It was very cozy, as aspect that was very appealing for my wife. Space for our kids to have their own area with the loft. The hot tub was a hit. The amenities were great. Coffee maker worked quick. A quiet area. All the things needed for a nice getaway.

Excellent stay

This cabin was very cute and perfect for what we were looking for. The views from the front porch are AMAZING this time of the year! We got here just in time for the peak views! The cabin did have lady bug issues and wasps issues but other than that it was perfect! The driveway to get up is steep but that’s going to be anywhere with a good view! Definitely staying here again.

Peaceful getaway

Cabin was very clean upon arrival and well maintained. Property is a little less than a mile up a gravel road and nicely tucked away in the mountain. It was very quiet and peaceful… nice place to sit on the porch in the morning and watch the deer pass through. The fire pit area was nice too and the kids loved playing cornhole in the driveway. They also loved having their own loft upstairs and playing the board games. The beds and furniture were very comfortable as well. Would stay here again.

Peace and tranquillity

My husband and I needed a little getaway. West Jefferson is our favorite place. The cabin provided just what we were looking for. It was private and we were able to take in the beauty of our surroundings and even take our dog, Liebe on nice walks. She love her stay also. We visited one of our favorite places, Ashe County Cheese! We brought back goodies for everyone. The cabin was very clean and did not disappoint. We enjoyed the hot tub and utilized the grill. My husband raved over the grill. He loves to cook on charcoal. He cooked the best t-bones. This cabin was centrally from all of our favorite places. We enjoyed our entire stay. If you get a chance, soak in the little town of West Jefferson. The Hillbilly Grill and Boondocks were amazing. We are back home now and can’t wait till our next visit. I give the location and cabin a five- star rating.

Sweet Retreat

We loved the cozy cabin & enjoyed our campfire suppers on the hillside. The inside was very clean and cozy throws felt soooo good for porch time. The back porch & hot tub cover were dusty (maybe from cornhole game??), but we were pleased with our stay. Steep road up from the highway, but my Nissan Sentra made it in low gear. Thanks for sharing your cabin!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location - about 19 minutes outside of West Jefferson. Quietest property we have stayed at. At the top of the hill, we only saw 2 vehicles up there on the road. Kind is steep drive but we did fine in Spring on a car. In winter you would probably need 4 wheel drive. Beds were comfortable. Winds kept us from using the fire pit. Hot tub was relaxing. The one complaint would be no TV unless you use your own private accounts for Netflix, Hulu, etc. Some folks don't have services or can't remember passwords once they get there. Overall nice cabin in nice, quiet location.
