The house has an open living room and kitchen area highlighted by a vaulted ceiling, ACs in the bedrooms, ceiling fans in each room, hardwood floors, a bathroom, and shared washer/dryer and kayaks. Enjoy beautiful sunrises from the Master Bedroom that has a full glass view of the Caribbean Sea. Cultural touches like African and local art pieces adorn the space. The living room has glass doors and windows offering ample views of the beach and Caribbean Sea.
The kitchen area has modern appliances and granite counter space and is perfect for preparing anything from quick snacks to gourmet meals. They can be served formally at the dining table on the outdoor porch with a view of the beach.
Guests can venture out to the sea with the available kayaks. Recent guests have kayaked out to the right of the False Cayes (0.4 mile from Maya Moon) and found a snorkeling paradise that includes coral and a variety of fish. Snorkeling gear can be rented at Azure del Mar next door.
Within short driving distances are a variety of activities that include access to a gym, pickleball courts, mini golf, and a bowling alley. A short drive to Placencia Village offers cultural experiences, artisan shops, and beachside bars. This property has two houses – Maya Moon Cottage (460 ft sq) and Maya Moon Beach House (800 ft sq)
The entrance and path are shared by both houses. You can rent the Maya Moon Beach Retreat (both houses) if you would like the entire property to yourself. Please contact us for the listing.
Although basic amenities are provided, the property is self-catering with no daily linen or cleaning service – as such more amenities may need to be purchased during your stay. There is routine beach cleaning with additional cleaning upon request. This may happen without notice.
Also note that for bookings over 3 weeks housekeeping will be done at 2 week intervals. There is no charge for this to guests.
