Nestled among the oak trees in Rockport, Texas, lies this modern yet cozy brand new cottage. When you walk in you still feel like you’re outside with the abundance of windows, looking out into the oaks. The bedroom is furnished with a king size, plush bed, comfortable linens and upgraded pillows. There is also a small bistro area in the bedroom where you can sit and enjoy a coffee or a cocktail in the evening. Walking to the right of the bedroom is a kitchenette area complete with a microwave, mini fridge, Keurig coffee, pot, and plates and utensils for your use. The large bathroom has a double vanity, upscale shower with a rainfall showerhead. This is the perfect place to enjoy a romantic evening , or just a place for you to get away from it all and relax. The complex has a pier for guests to use and has ramps to pull your kayak up. There are a number of very friendly deer that come around throughout the day and numerous types of birds that migrate through the property. Come enjoy this new treasure in Rockport. Weekend getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I booked this weekend getaway. We had never heard of or stayed here before so we wanted to give it a try. When we got to the property we thought it was a little sketch. Turns out we were the only ones staying on the property. The house was super clean and really nice, perfect for the two of us. The only thing we had an issue with was a noise like a bang here and there. I ended up reaching out to the manager, that’s how we found out we were the only ones on the property.

Anniversary trip

Excellent! Very quiet, super close to pier, very clean, we really enjoyed our stay!Unfortunately we had to cut short by one night, as my husband had a dental emergency, but we had a very relaxing time otherwise!

Great inside but pretty rough exterior grounds next door.

Perfect for a couple days/nights away at an affordable price. Very functional but not very comfortable inside chairs, switched with those from porch.

Weird noises!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This location is in the perfect spot; Goose Island state park, Big Tree and Whooping cranes are nearby. We had some issues from not being fully informed. There is not a stove top although there was a skillet. There are not plates or bowls; only a few paper plates. The kitchen area is with the bathroom; doing dishes in the bathroom sink is odd. We were provided with pods for the dishwasher which it doesn't have and laundry pods of which there is no washer or dryer. There were weird noises (I had read about noises in a review). I think it is the tree rubbing on the roof, but was afraid it was coming from the zombie house nearby. There are many pictures of decks that are actually part of a residence. The lights on the pier did not work which disappointed since we planned on fishing at night.

We did not fish but would be a great place to fish from. Plenty of towels.A broom and dust pan would have been nice to keep the floors clean.

Message from host for check in was wrong, told us how to enter the Cape house with a code that did not work. No response from host when messaged. The lawn man saved us by calling his boss, who found out the host told us the wrong house, thats why the code did not work. With the message from the host talking about what was provided we brought groceries, but that was a waste since there was no kitchen, not even microwave or frig. We ate out every meal and eventually dumped or cold groceries. This is not a good choice for elderly people, hard walk in sandy soil or rock walk way to room. If you want a comfortable chair, bring one! There was a wine cooler and coffee maker, and a little round table to sip your wine at. We were so ready for our three days to be over. Motel 6 would be better, at least most of them have one comfortable chair and a microwave.Bed was great, shower was great.But, Never again.

Rockport getaway

Property was clean and very nice Not as close to the fishing pier as expected. Cottage was about the same as a hotel room.Very secluded.

Great getaway spot

Me and my husband absolutely loved this little cottage! It was very clean and perfect for a quick getaway. The piers were nice to fish off. I will be booking this again.

Beautiful, clean, and very modern studio cottage. Excellent location with super easy access to water a few steps away. Massive fishing pier that is lighted. Would stay again!

It was a nice place only problem is it states it had a fishing pier. I even called before i booked and asked if everything was ok because of the hurricane and they said it was fine. We get there ready to fish and the pier is closed off, half the pier is gone....i wish they would of said something and we could of went somewhere else with a pier....hopefully the owner will give us a credit or something.

Super frustrated & highly disappointed.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First getaway in 18 months as my wife has been battling first Breast Cancer & then Metastatic Breast Cancer. We had never been to Rockport before. Narrowed my choices to 3 places near the water each advertising and promoting a private pier just steps away for fishing or relaxing by the water. Chose Clifton Cottage photos & description of the pier and proximity to water the deciding factor. While my wife relaxed and took her chemo naps I was going to be fishing in the pier. We booked after the most recent storm that hit around June 22. Arrived and pier was closed...off limits due to new or existing damage. We were crushed no pier to use the entire weekend. The minute that pier was damaged the photos and selling point description on the listing should have been changed & called all pre-booked clients should have been called and given the option to cancel. My booking was about 5 days prior. I would have found another location with a usable long pier w/light...the area has so many options available. The convenience of walking and fishing on your own pier turned into a huge inconvenience. People don’t come to Rockport for the beaches with Port A & South Padre around, so rest and fishing were our only goals. Place is beautiful...if the pier in the photo (50-100 yards?) was usable it would have been exactly what we planned.
