Disappointed

We’ve stayed at OSP for years. This was the worse condo we’ve ever had. Beds were uncomfortable, furnishings were cheap and unwelcoming. Floors were sticky when we arrived. This is our first experience with “scenic stays”. Not sure we will be back.

Booted to uncomfortable unit mid-stay

We had an extremely disruptive, frustrating, and unacceptable trip with Scenic Stays. After booking a specific condo weeks in advance, we were informed in the middle of our stay that the owners wished to preform “scheduled maintenance” and that they had the right to kick us out. What followed was a lengthy and mismanaged transition into another condo by Scenic Stays. Not only that, but the unit we were moved into was much older, darker, and more uncomfortable than the unit we booked. I can confidently say that our trip with Scenic Stays will be our last, and we caution anyone thinking of booking with them that this type of event can happen to you. Choose wisely.

My only advice is STAY AWAY from this rental. It wont allow a rating below 1 star or it would have been less. Noting some of our displeasures and experince to help others find a different unit to rent. * mattresses so old it was more comfortable to sleep on the floor our first night before buying air mattresses to use for the week.* floors that were sagging & uneven throughout, especially going into different rooms. "Landlord special« .* appliances so old they were unusable* sharp knives rusted through* mildewed air conditioning and ceilings * bathroom door falling off its hinges and could not be closed* handle on the fridge screwed back in and cut two people in our family as the sharp end protruded through the handle.These conditions were unacceptable and pictures posted on VRBO clearly were taken to avoid trouble spots.It should be removed from VRBO until its properly renovated altogether. The worst part of it, no one gives a care for your feedback or experience, renters be warned.

We were at the beach, that’s what matters, right?

We’ve chosen One Seagrove Place for our annual beach trip for 4 years. Each unit has been emasculate, until now. This unit was extremely basic. The kitchen supplies were minimal and old. The one pan available had black stuff flaking off of it. The oven set off the smoke alarm. The ranges on the stove had to be pushed into place and still were a little unstable. The contact paper for the countertops was peeling off. The bathroom door in the master bedroom was coming loose from the hinge and prevented it from closing, unless you lift the door up and then push it shut. There were stains on the loveseat. Some makeup was still on a nightstand in the smaller bedroom. The tv would not play correctly and just randomly turned off while using it. One dining chair had a pin coming through the fabric which I found when I sat down to dinner the first night. The entry doorknob was not flush with the door and you can see daylight through it. The sinks were so short in the bathrooms it made it difficult to bend over to use. And the dryer vent could have caused a fire with all the lint that had built up behind the screen because the lint trap doesn’t fit correctly. But, we were at the beach, right? We will not be visiting this unit again unless some major updates take place. If you need pictures, I have them.

This unit does not have any updates whatsoever. The decor is something from 1984. This unit was taken off of the listings, but somehow made it back and unfortunately, we got stuck with it for one night and one night only. The most anybody should pay to rent this atrocity is 25. It is horrific. Disgusting. The screen door screen was ripped and just flailing in the wind. The appliances were horrific like I said they were from 1984 at best. Check out some of the pictures posted. This review is to make sure that nobody rents this place until it is upgraded. The owners need to update this unit if they want to rent it with any integrity but for now having it removed to rent is the best option.

The oven is so old it doesn’t cook food properly. Because of this, we weren’t really able to use the kitchen. Definitely time for a refresh of the kitchen!

Wonderful People/Location; Tired condo

The "One Seagrove Place" staff could not have been any more nice and helpful. Madison, Michael and Slim made our stay extra special. The location and views were spectacular!! Our unit, however, was lacking. It was on the least expensive end, which was definitely warranted. Beds were minimal (small/not deep mattress) and linens were very cheap and scratchy. The items in the kitchen were the bare minimum in quality and quantity. The whole condo was very dated as a whole and items seemed only to be replaced when absolutely necessary, and they were done so with the cheapest way possible. TV in living room was small and barely hanging on the wall - just cheap fixes for everything condo related. It needs some inexpensive decor updates too. Overall we had a great stay and loved the atmosphere and view. Great rental company too. We will be back, just in a different unit!!
