¡GUAU - QUÉ UNA PLAYA! es lo que nuestros huéspedes dicen al llegar. La mejor playa - mejor ubicación - mejor valor !!!.
A solo unos pasos a través de nuestro jardín tropical en la playa tranquila y arenosa de 1/2 milla (1 km) de largo y protegida de Hoopers Bay (también llamada Turtle Beach) que se considera como la mejor para permanecer en Exuma. Disfrutar de la natación, buceo, observación (o incluso la alimentación) las tortugas o simplemente relajarse bajo el árbol de coco, mientras que para los más activos tenemos kayaks para explorar la bahía.
El estudio en nuestras modernas villas 'arenas de coral' es completamente independiente con su propia entrada independiente y da a la playa. Hemos estado alquilando 'arenas de coral' durante muchos años en HomeAway y las opiniones de los muchos invitados muy satisfechos se puede leer en nuestra lista principal. El estudio tiene una cama de matrimonio, cuarto de baño con bañera y ducha, cocina americana con placas eléctricas, nevera, microondas, tostadora, hervidor, cafetera, etc, comedor y sala de estar, más terraza al aire libre con mesa y sillas para relajarse o disfrutar al aire libre las comidas. Está equipado con a / c, ventilador de techo, TV de pantalla plana, radio / reproductor de CD, y gratuito, Wifi ilimitado. Si es necesario, hay suficiente espacio para una cuna o cama pequeña para un niño.
Situado entre el aeropuerto internacional (5 millas) y Georgetown (3 millas) hay una gran variedad de tiendas bien surtidas a 5 minutos a pie fácil de abarrotes, carnicería, charcutería, farmacia y licor. Por lo tanto no hay largos y costosos taxis del aeropuerto, no hay largos viajes a las tiendas ya poca distancia de una variedad de restaurantes.
Por lo tanto, gran ubicación y gran valor !!

Wonderful

Wonderful property to stay at on our visit to EXUMA! Everything was neat and clean. Peter was always available if we had questions. The beach was the best that I have ever been at. We were very pleased and would come again!

Secluded & on the beach!

Hosts are absolutely amazing & helpful. Clean & private room. Very short & lovely walk to the beach through a nice garden that provided seclusion from other beach goers but proximity for us. Will definitely return in the future.

an absolute dream vacation

its hard to pick which is more amazing, the house and beach or the hosts, Peter and Betty. walk out the door to one of the most picturesque and tranquil beaches you can imagine. close by groceries and supplies as well as the amazing fish fry. this was our third time and there will be more. Peter and Betty are amazing hosts that will make you feel welcome and at home. book it!

1st the hosts Peter & Betty were a delight, they live on site and were totally available but were also unintrusive . The apartment was as described also a perfect springboard to explore all Exuma has to offer! Hoopers Bay is amazing too!To some it up, we loved every minute of our stay!!!

Awesome location

Location could not have been better. It was mid island and mid (secluded) beach. Perfect. The host Peter was so friendly and informative. We really enjoyed him. The apartment was smaller than the 600 sq ft but we realize that measurement must have included the porch. Also the bedding was really old so it didn’t as clean as I would have hoped. I think if they updated the cover (without small stains) it would be just fine. Not a cooks kitchen. Having said that, it was definitely worth the stay. We felt it was simple and perfect in its simplicity.

Secluded beachfront house on Hooper's Bay

This was our second vacation renting from Betty and Peter Oxley. We had stayed at Sandy Palms on the bay and decided to give Coral Sands a try this time. The property is very well kept and has plenty of deck space to enjoy terrific views of the beach and bay if you just want to hang around the house. I'd say it is more spacious than the pictures lead you to believe as well. We had a minor issue with the freezer not working, but were provided access to another one and definitely not put out about the experience. Peter and Betty are very accommodating and responsive to inquiries. We had stayed in Exuma last time during the low season and were worried that it might be crowded this time of year due to being the high season, fortunately this was not the case. Stocking Island was a bit busy with all the boaters in Georgetown Harbor, but the bay and beach by the house was virtually deserted! If you just want to get away and relax without the typical crowded resort experience, you should come here. Our only disappointment was a few days of bad weather, we took that time to drive into Georgetown and do some shopping and enjoy the local food. We will be back again for our next vacation and may try a property on Long Island, we're confident that from our two previous experiences with the Oxley's it will exceed our expectations.

Amazing vacation! Prime location!

We just got back from our week long stay at Coral Sands and it was amazing! The location can’t be beat! The beach was AMAZING and we only saw a few couples at a time. We did swim with the turtles about every day, probably our favorite part of the whole trip! We did go on the 4 C’s excursion (all day) and I highly recommend it. We stayed in the studio apartment portion of the house and it was very nice. It did have everything you would need to cook meals, I would recommend some larger pans/skillets. The bed to me was pretty hard and the pillows a little flat but do able. We did have a little issue with our upstairs neighbors walking across our patio and peaking into our room and we woke up to them every morning moving furniture across the patio. Also, the WiFi will not reach the downstairs studio so we had to go upstairs on the patio if we needed it. So if that’s something that would bother you I would upgrade to the upstairs units Peter has (they are very nice too) My husband and I plan on coming back to Coral Sands in the future and we will definitely bring family this time! Peter was awesome and very helpful! I highly recommend Corals Sands!!! Exuma was amazing!! Thank you Peter & Betty!

Great location, beautiful beach!

The description and photos are right on, this studio is located on an amazing beach. Just a short drive to the airport, Fish Fry, Georgetown, and other stores, resorts or restaurants. We enjoyed kayaking to the small offshore islands, lounging in the palm tree shade, and walking the quiet beach to view friendly sea turtles. Peter is a wealth of information and provided tips for restaurants and excursions. Some of our favorites: Tropic Breeze (on Little Exuma) and Eddies' Edgewater (go for rake n' scrape night! dance!). Prime Island Meats and Deli is only about a 10 minute walk down the road and has great food (fresh French bread, rotisserie chicken, salads, cheeses, spicy Italian sausages), and the owner is so friendly and helpful. The kitchenette of the studio is a little small for any serious cooking but you can make some simple meals. The only disappointment was that the small fridge had no freezer compartment, but Peter was quick to remedy this by providing another little fridge with a freezer just large enough to hold our Coconut ice cream ;) We also put a Styrofoam cooler of ice in the fridge, which kept for days, so we plenty of ice for beverages. This was our third trip to Exuma and I'm sure we'll be back again! I loved this spot and would also consider renting the larger apartments in Coral Sands or their other property just down the beach called Sandy Palms.

We would recommend it without hesitation!

We loved our stay at Coral Sands! We were looking for a place where we could get away from the fast pace of life and enjoy natural beauty. We appreciated having a grocery store in walking distance and the flexibility we had in I'm making our own meals. Peter was very welcoming and helped us orient to the island highlights. We could require regarding any activity that interested us and receive honest, accurate feedback. The studio was homey and the view gorgeous. The internet was sporadic during our stay due to circumstances beyond anyones control. We used our phones to communicate as needed. If you plan for internet to be your primary source of communication, we recommend having a secondary option as well. It was a lovely vacation!

una settimana a exuma

Posto meraviglioso, tranquillo, molto pulito, fronte mare in mezzo alla natura. Noi abbiamo alloggiato nell'appartamento al piano terra, il propietario (Peter) è una persona molto precisa e disponibile anche nel consigliare cosa vedere. Posto strategico per visitare l'isola, scoprire altre spiagge noleggiando un'auto (volendo se ne occupa Peter). La spiaggia davanti è fantastica (per noi la migliore dell'isola), grande e spesso deserta, si trova in una baia dove il mare è tranquillo, non ci sono ristoranti in spiaggia, per questo ottima per rilassarsi. Il mare ha dei colori stupendi dove si possono veder nuotare le tartarughe, si possono usare anche i kajak che Peter mette a disposizione. Ci sono 2 market nelle vicinanze (circa 500mt) se si desidera arrangiarsi per il cibo, altrimenti per raggiungere i ristoranti ci vuole un'auto ( 3 km circa il più vicino, oppure 10 min per raggiungere George Town). E' stata una vacanza indimenticabile e consigliamo assolutamente di soggiornare al Coral Sands!!!!

very very good

the apartment is directly on the beautiful coral bay beach, it is furnished with everything needed, kitchen is basic but functional. Peter, the owner, knows the island very well and all his prompts has been appreciated and let us to discover best places of the island. He cares about everything you need. Just some small negative points. Sometimes bathroom doesn't smell very well, and could be great if they provide for room cleaning at least. ( they do not provide it we staked a week). Just a prompt be ready for sandflies, that is a general problem of the island, so better to be there with anti mosquitos lotion or spray.

Ideal for a quiet getaway

This small but perfectly formed studio fitted the bill exactly. We were hoping for a quiet, relaxing break doing not very much and that's exactly what we got. The studio is ideally placed just metres from a gorgeous beach and with a lovely garden to wander in. Peter is very helpful and knows the island well so was able to advise on everything from shop opening times to interesting places to visit and good places to eat. Nothing was too much trouble. Smittys shop is a short walk away, along with a liquor store and for food try Shirley's and Santannas. A day out with Robert's island excursions to see the swimming pigs and drink Goombay smash on the sandbar is a real must. I'd definitely recommend this property!

Paradise

The studio apartment for 2 was everything that it said it would be but the surrounding gardens and beach were absolutely beautiful! Peter was very accommodating and helpful when it came to renting mopeds, signing up for boating day trips, etc. The apartment had all the necessities and was well maintained. This rental was the perfect place for my husband and I for our honeymoon. We were close to town yet stayed on an almost empty beach! I will highly recommend family and friends to rent this property.

Paradise Found!!!...

We stayed at the beautiful Coral Sands villa in March 2015 and could not have asked for a better vacation. Everything was perfect! The studio apartment is right on the Hoopers Bay beach! After exploring Exuma’s beaches we can say with confidence that Hoopers Bay beach is the best: secluded, quiet, private, great for long walks, white powder sand and calm turquoise water. We would just walk out of the apartment and through the garden straight onto the beach. There were never more than ten people on the entire stretch of the beach. The apartment is basic, but nice and clean. Comfortable bed, great water pressure and important to mention – drinking water straight from the tap! The best part - you wake-up with a view of blue, turquoise water and white sand straight from you bed! Our hosts, Betty and Peter Oxley, are absolutely fantastic! They live close by and are very accessible and reliable. They are very attentive and take care of every single aspect of your stay… they even arranged for basic groceries for us (as we arrived Sunday pm when grocery stores were closed). We are very grateful for everything! Location of the property is perfect - about 7-10 min walking distance to the general grocery store & pharmacy (Smitty’s) in one direction and same distance to the meats/seafood store in the other direction. About 10 min drive from the Airport and about 5-7 min drive to Georgetown. The island is beautiful with many breathtaking beaches and very friendly people. Lots of places to eat most are right along the shore and some are beautiful spots to watch sunsets. In overall a GREAT holiday! We will definitely return, hopefully sometime soon! Paradise on Earth!

Hoopers bay, the best bay in Exuma!

Our week in Exuma was memorable! The island is a paradise on the earth and the inhabitants are very friendly! We rented a car for three days to visite the other place in the island! We discovered that hoopers bay, where is located Coral Sands, is really the best beach in Exuma! Thanks to Peter, who was always ready to give us informations about the island!

great vacation

We decided with my fiancé to go in Exuma Island (the wildest island of the Bahamas) for 10 days easter break. We got the studio on Hooper bay beach. Perfect studio with a kitchenette, very clean with a relaxing decotation. You have a beach view as shown on the picture with a nice outside patio. Peter & Betty were great, they organize our cab picking up from/to the airport, call too help us renting a scooter (we had no phone). The 1st day Peter explain us everthing which is on the island and provided us some maps, guides tours and other information. We did almost all beaches on the island with my fiancé and we thought Hoopers bay (where we stqyed) was one of the nicest. Peter and & Betty put our disposal free kayaks, there were also chairs and little tables on the beach (perfect to see the sunset). George town is not far from the studio about 5k. If you do not want to rent a car/scooter (for a car you need to be 25 years old) you can just walk 5 minutes and you will find a corner store. We had a very relaxing vacation (even if we got 2 days of rain..it was warm!), quiet and quality time together. The black point for me is that I have been litterally eaten by the sand-flies and had a hundreds bites on my whole body (I bring some spray but it did nothing..) my fiancé had nothing at all. I hope you will enjoy your time as well!

We moved from England to live permanently in Exuma in 1999 and upon our retirement. We personally welcome guests on arrival and are available to help guests with information when required. Now with our combined 50+ years of welcoming guests to Exuma we are able to offer the best suggestions to make the most of a visit to the island.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

After moving to the island in1999 we looked for a beachfront plot of land where we could create our own personal dream home. In 2002 we found what we believe the ideal plot, not only situated on what is regarded as the best beach on the island but large enough to make a award winning matching tropical garden. With the advantage of a slope on which to position the villa, this also gave us the opportunity to maximise the beautiful views.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We used a notable architect to visit the island to fully appreciate the position and location before designing what we had in mind for a spacious, tropical villa for guests to enjoy.
Therefore we have 2 sections which are each separate, with their own entrances and these are suitable for groups of 2 people + young child (the Studio), the 2 bedroom apartment for 4-5 people or the Condo section for up to 8 guests which is a combination of these 2 areas & linked by an internal staircase.
