We had a great stay here. Kitchen area was tight but no real issues. The duct tape on the threshold is not a problem for us. Very clean amd comfortable and great location. We would stay again.

Not that great

When we arrived, the condo had a certain smell to it, not in a good way. The ceiling looked like it had been leaking water. The carpet in front of the bathroom was held down with duck tape. And the fact that they put a bunk bed in the kitchen was crazy. But I do have to give credit to the management team handling this property. They did find us a much better condo for our stay. I would highly recommend to the owners of the condo not to rent it anymore until you update everything.

Good condo location

Condo has great potential just need a little TLC and house keeping do house keeping. Hairs and socks let in unit from previous guest. Duct tape needs to go and paint needs finished. Host needs to leave coffee for guest. From one host to another few things to be 5 star.

One Night Was Enough

Location in Gatlinburg was just what I had expected - we have stayed several times at this location in different rooms. Now about room 410 - main bed was very firm (felt like sleeping on a piece of plywood), carpets looked clean (but after walking around barefoot for a while, bottoms of my feet were Black), refrigerator doors were totally on backwards (pain in the butt getting items in it), black stuff on vents, and couch is way past its serviceable life (needs replaced). All in all, thank goodness we only were there one night. This place needs a Total remodel amd Update.

Terrible

This was the worst room we have ever stayed at Oak Square. The room was nasty,things were falling apart,the shower head broke we went and bought one so we could get a shower. The air-conditioning system didn't keep room cool at all. Furniture was sticky and nasty,as was the bed covering. Had to buy liht bulbs because none worked in room. Granddaughter got stung by wasp from nest on patio. Frig. door had to be pushed too hard to shut, kitchen table was falling apart. Had to tighten screw up on top bunkbed that was hanging out. Over all room was very nasty an needs upgrading bad. We will never stay at this Condo again. We have stayed several times and was very disappointed in our whole trip this time. I would not recommend this place to anyone after this experience.

The property itself was clean. When I opened the door to unit , I was greeted with a stale, musty odor. The kitchen table top was loose and wabbly. Someone wrote on the wall to indicate where the kitchen light switch was located, because it was hidden by the bunk beds. When I pulled out the drawer in the dresser, it literally fell on the floor, along with an iron and blanket. I still have a bruise from that. The bathroom faucet had a steady leak. The GFI receptacle was loose in the wall, poorly patched. No smoke detector, looked like the ceiling had leaked and the detector wires were burnt and broken. The ceiling itself is water damaged. There was a smoke detector mounting plate in the bedroom, on the wall above the door, but no detector. One lamp in the bedroom didn't work and the other was unplugged. No knob or button to turn on lamp. Return air for the A/C was located in the closet, but no filter of any kind, gobs of dirt in the door grille and interior of closet filthy. There is no place to hang clothes and no ironing board, but they did have an iron. I left a note asking for assistance, but got no response. I didn't expect a five star suite, but this was terrible. I'm glad it was only me in this facility, the rest of my family staying elsewhere. My brother and family have stayed in Oak Square in the past and were shocked at the unit I was in. I have pictures of all of the problems I listed. I can't speak for the entire facility, but this room needs major repair and updating. The pool was drained and area pressure washed and exterior clean, but people left garbage next to the full can on the fourth floor and it was several days before it was removed. I'm glad the only thing I needed was a place to shower and sleep. I hate to leave such a negative review, but after all the thing I've heard about Vrbo, I expected a better experience. I have pictures to support all I have listed as problems.

Disappointed

Room was out dated vs. The first room I stayed in last year. As far as furniture. Half the light bulbs were shot. Dark kitchen. The basket in the coffee pot was gone. Just felt like I was in a old run down condo.

Dump in the center of it all

This is a great location. Close to trails and within walking distance to everything downtown. The actual condo was not so great. Water damage, hole in the wall, no smoke detector, bunk beds in the kitchen. To quote my friend “let me move this kitchen chair so I can get out of bed”. If you go with friends and just need a place to stay it will work. It’s a small space. Although it sleeps 6 I wouldn’t recommend more than 3. If you are planning a family trip stay somewhere else.

Well for starters no communication with anyone from hotel!! Too much furniture in room!! Air isn’t working properly!! Kitchen is tight!! No need for bunk beds! Make it a room for four people!! Only good thing was big bathroom and good water pressure!!

The unit was clean but in dire need of some TLC. The AC couldn't keep the unit cool so the office staff offered up to other rooms but neither could sleep the number of people we needed.Metal bunk beds creaked if you moved so we didn't sleep well and there was not enough bedding to go around.There was a loveseat covering the fireplace which prevented the sofa bed from opening which was just one of the wacky things about this unit. It was truely one of those stays that we will talk about for years.Awesome location but it felt more like camping than a condo.

Master bedroom had a huge hole for n the wall by headboard. No remotes for either TV, went to office to inquire and said they didn't have any. Couldn't pull out sofa bed because snow there couch was in the way. Bunk beds had no top sheet just a bedspread and mattresses were thin as could be. Entire bottom cupboard under sink was falling apart from a previous leak. A/C didn't cool past 72 degrees. Pool was supposed to be open until 10 and one night my kids found it locked at 8:30. Guy was rude when they asked about it.

If you are thinking about cooking think again. Make sure to bring a extending cord to charge your phone and to plugin coffee pot. But great price for the location.

Smokies trip in December

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I thought the four of us in the 1 1/2 bedroom would be close, but it did say it slept 6. We were very close. A small table with two chairs wedged between the fridge and the bunk bends was the only eating space unless you ate on the sofa, and for some reason, there were two sofas in there, one up against the fireplace, which added to the cramped conditions. We did a lot of hiking when we were there, so other than a few quick breakfast, we were gone, if you're planning on cooking in this little kitchen, you might want to rethink this unit. As far as location, you can't get much better, it's near stop light 10 so you can walk to the Sugarlands Visitor Center along the nature trail, and at night you've got all of Gatlinburg at your footsteps to enjoy
