Welcome! We're so excited to share our home—and the love behind it—with new friends. This cozy cottage in the heart of Cotter has just completed a two-year remodel, every detail chosen with care and comfort in mind. It’s a space created for connection, laughter, and rest. From top to bottom, this cottage is a love letter to comfort and joy.
We’ve designed this home with a vision of you enjoying a beautiful day in the Ozarks—fishing or floating the White River, hiking local trails, or strolling through town, breakfast at The Sands, a delicious vist to the Cotter Market or a sip of wine at the Arkansan—and then coming home to a place that invites you to truly unwind. Maybe that looks like preparing a meal together in the gorgeous kitchen, watching a favorite movie or simply sharing stories around the table.
Later, take a quiet walk under the moonlight, then sink into a cloud-soft mattress for a peaceful night’s rest.
Some comforts you’ll enjoy during your stay:
* A fully stocked kitchen perfect for meal prep and together-time
* Deep soaking bathtub to ease into relaxation
* Front porch with rocking chairs—ideal for morning coffee or sunset stillness
* Central heat and air controlled by a smart thermostat
* A fully monitored alarm system, along with smoke and CO2 detectors for safety
* Incredibly comfy beds and thoughtfully curated spaces throughout
* Please note cleaning of fish and cooking, frying, baking of fish is apologetically not allowed within the home or on property

I love how beautiful and picturesque Cotter is! Just so much peace and quiet and yet, sitting on the front porch, neighbors walk by and say Hello and engage is a sweet chat! Imagine sweet tea on the porch, a sweet Sunday morning, a pie cooling in the kitchen, aroma of cinnamon and apples in the air and living a beautiful time gone by!

It has such a rich history - far beyond my comprehension and is an engrained part of the Cotter History! I just discovered this is called the "Fields House" as Mr. and Mrs. Fields were prominent in the community. More to come as I learn more. Coupled with this history, I've come in to love on this home and give it a fresh refurbishment. Bones are the same but every room has been modified at least 80% - whew, I'm tired!!! :)
