Welcome to your Happy Place! This beautifully remodeled, 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo is perched on the second floor of The Shoreline Resort, where you can soak in what The Door County Pulse called “the best sunset in Door County”. Enjoy our large private deck overlooking the village of Gills Rock, the marina and beautiful Hedgehog Harbor at the tip of Green Bay. Steps away from The Island Clipper to Washington Island and a short drive to one of the most beautiful beaches you’ll ever see, multiple state and county parks, and Sister Bay, Happy Place offers the perfect combination of tranquility and activity at the tippity top of Door County!

There is a security camera located at the front door which observes the front porch. And a camera that provides views of the sunset from the back porch (visitors will be visible at the edge of the back porch).

Happy Place Indeed!

We loved our stay at the happy place. It certainly is a happy place. It was very clean and had all the little touches that make a huge difference. The sunsets were beautiful. We like that it was close to town, but not in town. We would definitely stay again.

The place is big and lovely, deck is huge, the Shoreline Restaurant is the BEST food I have had in Door County! And I have been to Door many times! Don't overlook this serene, lovely place. The owner, Jennifer, is lovely.

A Fantastic place. The views and sunsets are as good or better than anywhere I have been in the world. Excellent condo. Nice people to work with. Excellent restaurant below. A great base for cycling. I would like to buy it because it is so superb

Wonderful getaway

The rental was immaculate - well stocked - everything was as advertised. The only problem was noise in the guest room throughout the night--something cycling on and off that sounded like dripping water. Other than that it was wonderful

Quiet and Short Getaway

As the title of property states, amazing sunsets. Quiet frankly, that is what sold me on it. It did not disappoint. The space itself was very nice. Utilities were great. All the windows with the view, even better. Besides a smell or two, which were pleasant, you would never know you were above a restaurant. Highly recommend this property.

Waking up on Hedgehog Bay

This is the second long Fall weekend that my extended family has stayed at your beautiful condo by the bay. We age from 78 to 5 years old and everyone kept busy and really enjoyed the property! We worked on jigsaw puzzles, had races on the grass, fished off the gigantic pier, had laser tag games in the park behind the condos, listened to vintage records and that was just on your property. My husband and I have been coming up to Door County annually since 1970s and this is one of our very favorite locations/places to stay! The Shoreline Motel (next door) owners are just great too.Highly recommend!

Couldn’t ask for more

This is my favorite place I have ever stayed. The views were phenomenal and while I initially worried it might be too far up the peninsula, we ended up loving the peace and quiet that came with that. We found ourselves clapping at the sunsets they were so incredible. Also, rain on multiple days couldn’t ruin our trip staying here, because again - the views! Location aside, the space itself was perfect for us - large and expansive, clean, comfortable, convenient temperature control by room and the kitchen had everything I needed to enjoy cooking and serving daily meals here for our party of 5. Thank you for sharing your home!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We started camping at Newport State Park 20 years ago and fell in love with the area. We started cycling along Timberline Road from the park to The Shoreline resort. Once we discovered the sunsets at The Shoreline, we were hooked!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Happy Place offers the perfect combination of serene beauty and social interaction. But the main thing that drew us here was the sunset! Our private deck offers a sunset view second to none. We have been chasing sunsets for 30 years and feel like we finally caught it!

We also enjoy interacting with our neighbors at the motel, restaurant and gift shops. If we ever crave a little more social activity , Ellison Bay and Sister Bay are just down the road.

There are many wonderful hikes within a ten minute drive, including Newport State Park, Door Bluff County Park and Ellison Bluff County Park. For those interested in exploring Washington Island, The Island Clipper to Washington Island is just steps away! If you like long walks along pristine, white sand beaches, be sure to check out Europe Bay Beach with free parking at Liberty Grove Town Park at the end of Europe bay road.
