Loved our second stay at Chickasaw!

We loved our stay there last year so much we came back this year. It’s private without being too remote. Close to all things you’d need to get to. Ver family friendly. We will visit again!

Clean, comfortable, well kept quiet property that was perfect for a few days away. Great location with easy access to multiple points of interest including the Hocking Hills.
My first view of the property from the upper deck, the porch swings were the best place to sit and just listen to nature.

The place was filthy. When we walked in it smelled like feebreeze was just sprayed everywhere. There was fresh dog poo that looked like a sad attempt was made to clean it up. I had to clean that up as well as vacuum and clean the mirror and sink that had toothpaste on them. The stairs were covered in hair and dirt as well as old dog urine that you could clearly see was never cleaned up as well. The furniture hadn't been swept either. Full of crumbs and hair. The doors filthy with finger prints and something sticky as well. The kitchen chairs were all sticky with whatever was spilled on them too. This was supposed to be a relaxing get away from home. Instead I was cleaning up what should have already been taken care of. The water was so rusty we couldn't shower let alone drink it. There was a birds nest that was empty and bird food all over the swing under the nest. You could tell nothing had really been cleaned in quite some time. Yes the beds were made the bedding seemed clean but I'm questioning that as well. We came home with bug bites all over us. The view was gorgeous the hot tub was nice and probably the only thing that was actually clean. If the water was filtered and place was cleaned properly and maintained the way it should be it would be a great place. I honestly should have left them a bill for cleaning. Disappointed that no one reached out to offer cleaning or a different place all together.

The cabin was clean and cozy. The layout was perfect for our family. We also really appreciated you having the lights on for us, as we arrived so late. The cabin was clean and had all that we needed. Thank you for your hospitality. We looked forward to coming to stay again.

Our stay

Was very nice place. Had a bit of a time trying to figure out how to work the tv. There were no towels in the downstairs bathroom. Every thing else was very nice.

Secluded, relaxing getaway. Totally relaxed the whole week and soaked in the hot tub every night. Loved our cabins deck and patio views of the woods. So peaceful listening to nature at night

Nice Layout, But Not Worth the Price

The house is spacious with comfortable furniture and beds, and the outdoor spaces are a definite plus. It’s also conveniently located — only about 15 minutes from most major attractions.That said, there were several downsides that made the stay less than ideal. The home wasn’t very clean; surfaces were dusty, and there was an odd odor downstairs. The kitchen had very few functional items, making it difficult to cook meals. There were no checkout instructions provided, which felt disorganized.The downstairs bedroom, which contains the larger bed, also houses a utility closet that runs loudly throughout the night — not great for light sleepers. The thermostat couldn’t be set below 72, which was frustrating, and the water pressure upstairs was weak. The WiFi also barely worked, which was a major inconvenience.Overall, it felt like we paid too much for what we got. These properties are owned by a corporation, and it shows — there’s minimal effort put into maintenance or guest experience. Also be aware that the price may increase if you have more than two guests. I’d recommend exploring other options before booking this one.
