A Dennis Port gem-just steps to the beach! Totally remodeled top to bottom!

"Worth The Wait" is ready and waiting for you to visit and create happy summer memories. The owners, AJ and Laura, have been coming to Dennis port for 30 years and saving for the day they could finally own their own seaside cottage. That dream came true in October of 2023 when they finally found the place they had been waiting for. Since October, they have been lovingly remodeling the home to be everything they have been dreaming of and planning for. Because they appreciated being able to rent wonderful homes over the years, they want to share their beloved cottage with you so that you can have the most relaxing and enjoyable beach vacation you could wish for.

To start, the location cannot be beat! So close to Haigis Beach (1,000 feet) that you can smell the sea breeze and hear the waves crashing when you open the windows or are enjoying the fully fenced in back yard. You can open the windows to feel the cool breeze or cool off with the newly installed central air. You can also walk or bike to Glendon Road Beach (1/2 mile) or Sea Street Beach (1 mile). No need to worry about expensive parking or beach passes when you stay at WTW! New beach chairs, umbrella and a cooler are provided, as well as a beach cart to use to bring your things to the beach. But you are so close, you may not even need to use it! After a day at the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower and enjoy the fully fenced back yard, which is spacious enough to play corn hole, throw a frisbee or try your luck at horse shoes (all provided!) If you are in the mood to relax, there is comfortable patio furniture and a gas firepit to sit by and have a cocktail. You can use the brand new gas grille to make dinner and either eat outside at the picnic table or inside on the enclosed porch. There is parking for 2 vehicles.

The entire home has been thoughtfully remodeled and decorated with the colors of the beach and sea in mind. In the living room, there is brand new furniture to relax on and watch the 55" inch smart tv with high speed wi-fi and blue tooth sound bar. The original hard wood floors have been exposed and there are new area rugs. The cottage comfortably sleeps 4 people in the 2 bedrooms and each have a brand new queen size memory foam mattress. Each bed frame has night lights and charging ports. One bedroom has a secretary desk, hand made by Laura's father, if you really need to work. (But really, do you want to work when the beach is calling you just down the street?) There is also a twin size air mattress available. The enclosed front porch is filled with windows and has a dining table as well as two chairs to sit in to have your morning coffee, read a book or enjoy an after dinner drink.

The kitchen has been expanded and renovated and everything from the ceiling to the floor is brand new. Gray granite countertops, including a breakfast nook, complement the brand new blue cabinets. There are brand new stainless steel appliances, including a gas range with convection oven, microwave and dishwasher. The refrigerator has an ice maker and filtered water and a reverse osmosis water fountain for drinking has been installed. The owners spend a great deal of time at the cottage and love to cook, so they have made sure that the kitchen is fully stocked with all the amenities needed to cook a meal at home, including plenty of utensils, premium cookware and Henckels knives.

The bathroom has been expanded and redesigned to provide plenty of storage, including a full sized washer and dryer, making it easy to do laundry.

The owners have tried to think of everything that you could want so that you barely have to leave the house. But if you want to, there are so many things close by. Walk to the end of the street and take a left to the Sailing Cow, named one of the Top 10 hidden gems on Cape Cod, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Venture into Dennisport Village for breakfast, lunch and scrumptious bakery treats at Buckies, Italian at Brothers Pizza or shop for souvenirs at the General Store. If you are in the mood for ice cream, you have to stop at the Sundae School, which is as much a part of Cape Cod as its beaches. Next door to that is the Wee Packet, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or you can head to Lower County Road where you can find great Mexican food at the Southside Cantina, awesome ice cream at What's The Scoop or sandwiches at Bandera Market and Deli. If you aren't too full from all that and want some family fun, you can walk from there to Susan's Garden Mini Golf, which has some of the most beautiful landscaping you will see at a mini golf setting. If you want something a bit more substantial, there is Chapin's Fish and Chips Beach Bar or it's sister restaurant, Clancy's. For upscale dining, there is the Ocean House, the Pelham House or The Oyster Bar. Did we mention these are all within a mile or two from Worth the Wait? We have compiled a binder at the cottage for you of all the great restaurants and activities near by to help you plan your trip. Some of the things you will read about in the binder will be places to rent kayaks on Swan River, bike rentals for the rail trail (25 miles long through 6 towns), things to do in the quaint town of Chatham, best drive-in and pizza in Wellfleet, the only Vineyard on the lower island in Truro, and of course, all the nightlife and dining in Provincetown. You can also catch a ferry out of Harwich and go to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket for the day. You may need to rent for multiple weeks just to sample all there is to offer near this wonderful retreat at the Cape!

Each rental comes with a welcome package that includes: first roll of toilet paper and paper towels, dish soap and sponge; dish washer pods; laundry pods and hand soap. There are basic cleaning supplies provided, including a vacuum cleaner, mop and broom.
YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN LINENS (**we supply bed spreads and pillows--all brand new! Each bed provided with mattress/pillow covers that are washed and sanitized before each stay**)

You provide : queen sheets, blankets and pillow cases, twin sheets and pillow cases (if you want to use the air mattress), bath/hand/dish and beach towels. (With the brand new washer and dryer, you can wash everything before you leave and bring it home clean!)
