We appreciate our guests taking the time to go a review . Just a quick note, the property is not advertised as being directly on the lake. We have two pieces of property. One is the house, and the other is a smaller piece of property with a boat dock and lake access. They are about 400 ft apart. Yes I welcome to bring a boat, use our canoes, or also welcome to access the lake at the beach whichever they prefer. Lakefront homes are much more expensive in terms of rentals, an hour home office a great value in comparison. You get all the benefits of being in a private location on two acres, as well as water access and a dock! 😁

Thank you Peggy, for your feedback and for staying with us. Its a shame that you didn't mention during your stay that you were short on any kitchenware, and as such we were unable to assist. That said, I see a full compliment of dinnerware for at least eight people and all the cookware that we have used as a family. Truthfully though, we do not have a dutch oven and the knives may not be as recently sharpened as the ones that you brought. We're sorry for that! With respect to our pet policy, whenever you go to someone else's home, please remember that it's very difficult to get hair off of expensive bed covers and furniture, but also that other people, whether future guests or the property owners, may also be allergic to animal hair or have an aversion to pet hair on their clothes and personal items. We are also very big on keeping our home sanitary. That's why we ask to keep animals from these area. We're sorry if this proved to be an inconvenience, and are appreciative that you took the time to bring furniture covers, and left the house in good condition. Katie- we were very glad to have you! Your son is onto something- winter time is so much fun in this area. if you like cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, ice skating, ice fishing, or snowmobiling and snowshoeing, we have something for everybody. There's a great Park just down the road called Dynamite Hill, they have a rope tow for the kids and a huge sliding Hill that goes down to the baseball diamond. They have a covered small ice rink and a hot chocolate snack shop. We are 15 to 20 minutes from Gore mountain, and about 25 minutes from Garnet Hill Nordic ski center as well as restaurant. Antonio, good to hear from you. Yes, when you reported that it was leaking underneath due to a loose connection, we did ask to come and fix the faucet right away but you asked us to wait until you had left. As such, I don't feel it's fair to make that a negative part of our review? I just want to make sure everyone knew that we are very responsive! also, you did not report a problem with the shower. I'm hoping to learn what it was if you get a chance to message me I didn't see any problems after your stay but I would like to make sure there is nothing further. Thanks again for staying with us.
