Calabash stay

This was a great property. A great home with everything that was needed. Plenty of room and our children loved the games. It has an awesome back yard with great gazebo deck in the back. Property is fenced in in the back which was great for our fur baby staying. It’s close to many beaches and things to do which was exactly what we wanted! Neighborhood is quiet and safe. Calabash is a cute coastal town, and super great for seafood as well! Thank you for a great stay!

Escaping Hurricane Helene

Mine and my sister’s families came to Calabash to escape the lack of power and resources at home due to Hurricane Helene. This was a great escape for the kids- there were what we considered minor issues (no tv connection to internet/cable, electronic entry/exit was difficult and stressful, not all needed cooking utensils, broken items, etc) none were worth complaining about. Ultimately it was a nice escape- clean, lots of room for the kids and dogs to run. Be sure to ALWAYS take pictures before unloading.

Okay Stay

Pulling up to the property the grounds were overgrown. Inside, the house was clean but unfortunately previous renters had made a hole in the hallway wall, broken the blinds in the second bedroom, and ripped a big hole in the screen in the sunroom. There are two televisions but only one worked. The Queen bed had a plastic mattress pad which was noisy and made one sweat. The electronic lock stopped working locking us out. It took some time to get in touch with owner and there was a lockbox so we at least had an alternate way of getting into the house. I was dismayed to see that we were charge an extra person fee when it was only myself and my husband and house clearly could sleep four. I guess the price is only for one person. We left a day early due to a health reason and it would have been nice after all the minor issues to be refunded the one night we didn't stay. The owner said they would consider it but never had any other communication. The property served its purpose for our business only trip but not the most comfortable,

Made Our Vacation

The house is perfect, comfy and fun with a game room and back yard fire pit, game net and BBQ. Beds are comfortable, and pillows comfy as well. Nicely decorated and in a nice quiet neighborhood. Safe, pet friendly back yard. Good location for everything. A+++

Nice property, fit our needs well especially since it was pet friendly / fenced in yard. Tip for entry - wait 3 seconds after entering code, then hit check button. No problems with entry.

Wonderful time in Calabash

My family had a great time at this property. The house is exactly as shown on the website. We did have a few issues upon arrival, but the host quickly resolved them. The house has recent upgrades throughout. New floors, new furniture, and new appliances. Everything was great about the house. The house has a sunroom which had a game table which was nice. There is a large fenced in yard which is also a bonus. The house is within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The only thing that was missing was a BBQ grill. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Calabash Home

The house is located in a nice and friendly neighborhood, a good central location to beaches and activities. It's a nice home, very modern and convenient. We had a few issues with the coded lock on the door, but the property manager was quick to reply and assist. The only issue we encountered was the cleanliness and upkeep. The yard had not been mowed or maintained, and the driveway had several nails and screws scattered around. The inside of the house was mostly clean, but there were several items left from previous tenants, such as dirty clothes under beds and the couch, as well as a pill bottle with miscellaneous medications in it. However, I feel that these issues can be easily remedied with attention to detail from the cleaners!

Nice stay but....

•Overall our stay was adequate. •The house was in an older neighborhood. The house was clean and we felt safe. •Had trouble accessing the keypad but was able to call the host and issue was quickly solved. •House was very warm when we arrived but it eventually cooled once we got the a/c running. •Did not have enough towels for the three of us. •The house did have a Keurig coffee maker but no k-cups for it. Would have been nice to know so we could have packed some.
