The views were amazing. The condo itself needs serious updating. The couch and chairs are sagging , and Need cleaning,barstools look like a cat attacked them. Refrigerator is very tiny and old. The coffee table was made out of leftover LVP. Black mold in hall shower. Commodes are extremely low. I went on VRBO expecting a private owner, not a company that charged me an additional 80 booking fee. Loved the balcony furniture.

Great location. Unit was clean and as described. It lacked any dish soap, a small refillable bottle would have been appreciated. No beach towels.

We enjoyed our stay The condo had everything we needed. Our only complaints were the master bed needs to be replaced and the carpet in the bedroom needs to be removed. Carpet should never be in a rental in my opinion. The back door also was very hard to open. But overall it worked for us.

Transition to New Home

The unit had everything we needed for our stay. It worked great for us. We were waiting for our home to be finished and were happy to have a place to stay at the beach on short notice.

Great time

We've stayed at Pelican Isle before so we knew we were in a good location. My son lives on the island so we wanted to be close to him. The condo was very clean and furnished like a hotel room with generic toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc. We brought our own so didn't use what was furnished. It would have been nice to have instructions on how to run the TV but my grandson figured it out pretty quickly!! I think we used 1 plate, 2 coffee cups and maybe a couple pieces of silverware. Another reason was it showed a Keurig in the the picture. I picked this place

Great place to stay!

Check in was easy. Location of the condo was perfect for us. Plenty of places to eat and plenty of things to see within a couple of miles. The condo was clean and comfortable and had a great view. Beach service was a great addition! I would definitely recommend!

Our stay was right on the beach. Breathtaking views. Clean. Felt like home.

We will be back again. The location is perfect. Close to the Pier, restaurants and shopping for convince, but further away for a quieter, more relaxed vacation.

The balcony was actually my favorite place , except for the beach. The traffic around the area is fairly dense during the day and evening. I would definitely stay here again. In fact it is my second stay at Pelican Isle. I will be back next year too.

Condo needed a deep clean and new furniture

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall our stay was just ok. We have stayed at other properties for the same cost that were much cleaner and nicer. The condo could use an update and a deep clean because the bathrooms had a lot of dirt and mold along the baseboard that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The furniture was also very uncomfortable. I am 5' and the barrel chairs were just my size but my husband is 6'4" and the couch and chairs were way too low to the ground for him. They were also very dingy and dirty. We had storms one day so we tried watching TV and it had issues as well. The location was a little too far away to be able to walk to anything. But the customer service person was amazing and having the beach chair service included was a major plus. If you don't mind an outdated dingy rental then this place would be great.

Could use a new set. Not enough covers for the pots and fry pans. Could use a medium pot.Need a few more small size juice glasses. Bed, pillow and. Linens very good. Mattress on bunks very good,but disappointed to see the wooden storage boxes at the ends. Made it pretty tight for an adult to sleep in.

Perfect Family Vacation

Our vacation condo was perfect as described! Upon arrival our key code did not work but I was able to call the number provided in my check in packet and that was corrected immediately. My family loved the view from the balcony and that our 'home' was not directly over the pool as it can be loud. This condo is conveniently located on Okaloosa Island away from the crowds of Destin, but close enough to join in. Close to the grocery store, donuts, a convenient store, mini golf, and restaurants! We also loved that it offered a borrow box in the parking garage where guests who's vacations have ended can leave their 'used' floats and toys. Pros - Great views! Easy check in/out Chairs/Umbrella on the beach Close to everything Condo had (almost) everything we needed Easy parking plenty of towels and bedding! Comfortable pillows Showers had great pressure Cons - Bed was uncomfortable for my husband but perfect for me. Couch bed was uncomfortable for my teen. Can't set thermostat below 70 - I'm spoiled. I'd definitely vacation with Sugar Sands again!
