Relax with the whole family at Mountain View Retreat! Less than a mile from Liberty Mountain Resort and only 10 miles to the Gettysburg battlefields - It's the perfect central location! The Battlefield, golf courses, skiing, snowboarding, breweries, & wineries will definitely keep you busy! Or just kick back & relax and enjoy all that Mountain View Retreat has to offer! This is a fully stocked house so all you will need are your clothes and food!

This peaceful home has 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths along with a Koala queen sofa bed. Plenty of space for large groups! The backyard provides a beautiful private setting where guests are surrounded by nature & can enjoy yard games, the BBQ and the Solo Stove fire pit!

The inside of the house has plenty to offer as well! A fully stocked kitchen and coffee bar, TV's in every room with access to live TV and multiple streaming apps (Hulu, Netflix, MAX, PrimeVideo, Disney+, ESPN+, Peacock Premium, Youtube) and fun games for the whole family to enjoy!

*There is no door with office room that has a queen bed in it. There is a curtain to provide privacy along with a TV, sound machine, fan & clothing storage.*

Dogs are welcome at Mountain View Retreat as well with an additional $125 pet fee that will cover the duration of your stay. 2 dogs maximum and no other types of animals are allowed at the home.

Please note that this property has a decent amount of stairs so if someone in your group has mobility issues, I would suggest a different property.

There are two driveways at the house. The lower driveway leads you directly to the house but there is a 3 car max in this driveway. Having more than 3 cars will make it very hard to turn around. Please also note that this driveway is slightly steep towards the top & in the winter we HIGHLY suggest that only vehicles with 4WD or AWD use it. We clear snow and salt as soon as it is safe to do so.
The upper driveway is flat and can fit several cars but the parking is tandem style and there is a staircase you'll have to walk down to get to the house.

We were in town for a wedding & this home had so many scenic spots to sit and catch up. With a hot tub, darts & Pac-Man everyone was entertained!! It was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything we needed!

We loved our stay! Close to Gettysburg and was so well equipped! We had everything needed to cook, do laundry, and relax. We loved watching the deer behind the house while enjoying our margs and wine! Communication was great. We had our dogs with us and the host provided toys, treats, and food bowls! We would definitely come back again! We didn’t have any kids, but this is the place to stay if you are traveling with your family!
Our happy boy loved the view from the balcony!

Beautiful property

The house was beautifully decorated, well maintained and addressed all of our needs. Great location for adventuring in to Gettysburg. The host had a welcome basket and area information on hand, as well as communicated throughout our dtay. Highly recommend.

When you say retreat that’s what this property is! The hostess thought of everything you could possibly need or want. The home is beautiful and close to the sites of Gettysburg for the history buff and Cunningham Falls for the avid hiker.

Great fall weekend

Our family trip to Gettysburg was unforgettable, and renting this house was the perfect choice! The home was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed for a very comfortable stay. It was ideally located close to historical sites, allowing us to explore with ease. We loved the cozy living area and hot tub to unwind after our adventures. The outdoor space was a great spot for hanging out. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend renting this house for anyone visiting Gettysburg!

Everything was in great working order and beautiful. Quiet neighborhood. The hot tub was very relaxing. The house had all the amenities you could want. Clementine's and Ventura's were very good restaurants and reasonably priced.

Amazing celebration of the New Year Eve

We had an amazing stay at this house near Liberty Mountain Resort, perfect for our New Year’s Eve celebration and snow tubing trip with family. The house is incredibly kid-friendly and well-equipped for families with little ones (we have an infant and a 3-year-old). It was a delight to find thoughtful touches like a welcome basket full of snacks and essentials like tampons, toothbrushes, and even eye patches. The house had everything we needed and more! Its proximity to a park playground was an added bonus. Highly recommend this cozy, family-friendly retreat!

Perfect for large family!

This property was perfect for our family weekend trip to tube and ski at Liberty! The house is less than 1 mile from the resort which made it very convenient for multiple trips back and forth. We have 4 children (ages 20, 18, 16, and 16) and they all had a great time. We loved that we could bring our dogs with us, the kitchen was well equipped for us to cook big meals each night, the TVs were all setup for streaming, and the hot tub was a huge plus! Our kids loved winding down in the hot tub after a long day of skiing. Kayla was extremely responsive and a fantastic host. We will definitely stay here again if we take a similar trip!

A Wonderful Experience!

Kayla thought of absolutely everything to make sure we had an enjoyable stay! The house was well stocked with all of the comforts of home plus extras to make you feel welcome. We used the property for an extended family get together and had young children with us. We all enjoyed the home’s amenities! While there is a neighbor to the left through the trees, the house is in a very private and quiet location. It was very convenient to Gettysburg and the historic sites that the town has to offer while being out of the way enough that that you can enjoy a quiet relaxing evening on the deck or in the hot tub. Overall it was a wonderful weekend and our family looks forward to returning!

Above and beyond.

This was our first time with Vrbo. The house was above and beyond our every expectation. When they said the kitchen was stocked, I only expected some bare essential equipment.Not a full coffee bar, spices and condiments in the fridge! We could have stayed the entire time and never left and not have worried about a thing. Beds were comfy, bedrooms roomy and bathrooms even had those 'oops I forgot to pack things'. The host checked in with us to make sure we had all our expectations met. If you are ever in the area and need a 'relaxing' time. This will fit the bill, the mama doe and babies were an extra treat nibbling on the folage in the evenings...oh and the squirrel? yep full on begging gong on LOL Don't miss out, book today!

This is truly a 5 star property. My partner and I met my family here for the weekend over Fathers Day and we were so impressed the moment we arrived. The host went above and beyond to ensure every need was not just met, but exceeded. The house itself was immaculate and beautifully furnished, with every amenity you could possibly think of – it truly felt like a home away from home. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, the bedrooms were cozy and comfortable, and the living spaces were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We especially loved the outdoor patio area where we could unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We played a game of darts, enjoyed the fire pit area and relaxed in the hot tub at night. Communication with the host was seamless and they were incredibly responsive to any questions we had. Their recommendations for local attractions and restaurants were spot on and really enhanced our vacation experience. Gettysburg is close by - less than a 30 minute drive as well as other cute towns to explore. Cannot recommend this place enough - you can tell the host put a lot of care into this house. Can't wait to come back.
