Swiftwater-Secluded Log Cabin-Falls Of Rough Private and Peaceful

Quiet place to Relax Lakeview
Swiftwater which sleeps 6 is a perfect place to stay whether you are hiking on the one-mile Lake Ridge Trail to explore for birds or Bald Eagle, boating on the 5,000-acre Falls of Rough Lake, or going to the beautiful lodge to dine, or attending one of their many events. The A-frame log cabin is surrounded by oak and pine trees that give lots of privacy to enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature. The cabin has 2 bedrooms with queen beds in each room and a sleeper sofa in the living room. One of the bedrooms has a jetted jacuzzi tub plus a large walk-in shower and the other has a full tub/bath shower. The kitchen and living room are an open concept with a stone fireplace to enjoy on those cool nights and a large screen TV above. The kitchen is equipped with all the amenities you will need to enjoy your stay and we provide a few trash bags, paper towels, dishwashing soap, and sample coffee for your arrival. A full-size washer and dryer is available with detergent if needed. A gas grill is located outside for barbecuing with grilling utensils inside the kitchen. Behind the cabin is a fire pit and seating to enjoy at night to roast hotdogs or smores with your friends or family. The front deck has two dining tables with umbrellas and seating for eight to enjoy late afternoon views of the lake while relaxing or dining. There is a neighborhood pond to fish for catch and release for enjoyment. We have a TV in each bedroom and living room with Roku remotes and free Wi-Fi.
All decorated for Christmas 🌲Come enjoy the quiet and relaxing atmosphere for Christmas with family or friends. Beautiful gas fireplace to get cozy and watch your favorite movie!

We had a great stay at this cozy, super clean, and well-equipped cabin. The decor is lovely, the beds are comfy, and the location is quiet and private — perfect for relaxing! You can see a bit of the water from the deck, but the walk down requires good shoes, bug spray and maybe even long pants and sleeves — my son had a run-in with some poison ivy, so just something to keep in mind! We spent our evenings grilling and stargazing — so peaceful. While we missed out on water activities due to a transport hiccup, others were having a blast. Big Mouth had simple but amazing food only a short driving distance. Lastly, the host was kind and flexible. Highly recommend!

The cabin is beautiful, cozy, and comfortable. Check in was easy and uncomplicated. We didn't use much in the kitchen, but it appeared well stocked.

Quaint, quiet, removed

Beautiful property about 25 minutes from town which is exactly what we wanted. Updated, clean, all modern conveniences. Just bring food and personal items, and you'll enjoy being secluded for a gorgeous time away from the world!

Absolutely Perfection

My husband and I along with my son his wife and our two amazing grandchildren stayed the week of Thanksgiving. My husband and son leased land for hunting and wanted to make to make this a family trip this time up to their land. This place is perfect. Any and everything you could think of it had. From the lighted makeup mirrors to the blankets rolled up in a basket by the fireplace. The chargin nightstand was a plus as well. The owner was very responsive and I would def stay here again if in the area. I felt very safe and oh the views of the lake were amazing

Just what the dr ordered

It was everything I needed and more, pictures don’t do it justice, very lovely home… one bar on my phone but figured out how to stay in touch. WiFi for streaming but can’t link devices, only negative if you wanna call it that lol. Great communication

Beautiful Cabin

Gary is a great host and we had a a very nice stay celebrating a wedding anniversary and getting away for some down time with family. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and just as described. A quick drive to the Rough River Dam Lodge for some outdoor time, and also down the road for some great fish and burgers at BigMouth restaurant, were both nice adventures. We honestly just didnt feel the need to leave the cabin much!

Wife and i had a great time relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet. Cabin was very clean and taken care of. Spent the weekend grilling and wine tasting at a local vineyard. We will definitely try to rent again.

Peaceful

This place is an absolute gem. The owners are very friendly and responsive and also check in to make sure things are going smoothly. My husband and I have stayed here twice just to get away from every day life and to relax. The cabin is stocked with everything you need for your stay. The beds are very comfortable and the jacuzzi tub is the absolute best part of it all. We cannot wait to book our next stay!

Long Weekend

The cabin was great, neighborhood was quiet. Much more convenient for us than staying in Elizabethtown and cheaper than Hampton and Hilton. We would definitely consider staying here again!

My wife and I spent a few days just relaxing at Swiftwater. It’s absolutely beautiful and a wonderful place to stay. Property and cabin are immaculate and had every amenity. Owner was very friendly and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for more. We will be returning often and frequently.

Perfect Family Getaway!

This place was perfect for our family getaway! The house was very clean, beds were comfortable and the peace and quiet of the area was great! Gary the owner was very kind, helpful with whatever we needed, and even let us check-in early, which was very much appreciated! We hope to return again soon!! Highly recommend.

Beautiful home

This was the perfect property for this stop on our family vaction. Plenty of space for the 5 of us and enough space around the firepit and dining table for other family members staying around the corner. My son loved the fishing pond and everyone loved the neighborhood.

Family lake trip

Our stay at swift water was perfect! The cabin is clean and tucked back in the trees alongside the water and provided an excellent getaway for our days at the lake. The property owners were very responsive and friendly and I would recommend a stay at swiftwater anytime!

We loved this cabin! It's very close to Rough River State Park where we usually stay on Memorial Day Weekend. But this cabin is so much better than the State Park's cabins. Very clean and well furnished. It was great to have a nice place to stay since we were inside for quite a while due to the weather. We hope to be back soon!

Lynn and I are from Glasgow, Ky., and love the outdoors and camping. We sold our five-bedroom/bath cabin in December 2023 which we bought in 2010 in Gatlinburg, TN. Had it listed with VRBO and Airbnb since 2018 and many guests came and enjoyed their stay in the beautiful mountains. We loved our cabin, but with us getting older it was getting more difficult for us to drive, and wanted a home closer to us to enjoy more. We love being a host and want others to enjoy what our home has to offer. We will be adding new amenities as we can for guests to enjoy.

We have always had a love for the A-frame design and the rustic cabin design. The area is very private and peaceful with a lake view and the Falls of Rough River State Park is a 10-minute drive from the house. A neighborhood pond is located in the area for catch/release fishing to enjoy.

Our cabin has a fenced-in yard and the area is very private and peaceful and surrounded by large oak and pine trees. Firepit with seating for those cool nights and stargaze of the beauty around you. A front deck is great for dining or enjoying a cocktail/mocktail with friends and family with Lakeview.
