Vamos hacer recuerdos en este adorable decorado, espaciosa casa en la playa. Podrá relajarse en el porche cubierto, un coche por la carretera de la playa, tomar el barco o jet ski por giro o traer de vuelta algunos pescado fresco para la cena!
Área cubierta grande debajo de la casa es perfecta para pasar el rato con un cóctel! Tenemos todo lo necesario para una visita tranquila y relajante o un aventurero, buen tiempo llena de diversión. Tenemos toallas y tablas de surf para la diversión en el sol, así como juegos, juguetes y una Wii para cuando se pone el sol!

Esta casa tiene algo para todos! Es perfecto para familias con niños de todas las edades, un viaje con sólo las niñas, reuniones familiares, parejas, escapadas chicos de pesca excursiones, fines de semana de las señoras de artesanías y por supuesto todos vagos de la playa y los entusiastas de la navegación!

Incluido en el alquiler es una hoja de barco por la calle de la casa por lo que convenientemente puede aparcar el barco en el agua para toda su estancia!

Jamaica Beach es una comunidad preciosa, con todo lo necesario para un tiempo fantástico. Another Great Stay!

Everything was smooth sailing like last time. We love staying here for our annual family beach getaway. Great location and everything we would need and then some for a comfortable stay. The host is excellent with communication and always willing to help if and when the need arises. And the doggies love it too! Thank you again!

Family beach trip

We had a few issues at the property but our property owner was quick about trying to fix the situations, she door dashed us some goodies and did her best to get everything handled on a busy weekend in the summer. Location is great to get to the beach quick and not have to deal with all the crazy Galveston traffic!

Great home away from home

The property was conveniently located in the Jamaica beach community with quick access to the community pool, boat ramp and beach across the street. Great places for blended families with slots of sleeping arrangements. Everyone had a great time!

We had such great time. The house was very spacious and enough beds for everyone. The homeowner was very nice. She made for sure everything was perfect for our stay. The neighborhood is a quiet and was like gone away from home. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Guys Fishing Trip

We had an excellent stay at "Near the Sea" Beach house!!! Home owner was very helpful and willing to go out of her way to make sure our stay had everything we needed. Home was has plenty of room, a great patio for grilling and entertaining, and was clean and well maintained. Very close to the water and easy access to town. I will definately recommend this home to anyone looking for a great vacation in Galveston. Hope to go back soon!

We had the best time at this Jamaica Beach rental.

The bunk beds and other beds were perfect for Our sleeping arrangements. The owner kept us up to date with any notices. She was excellent to rent from for our rental. If we have another rental in the future, we will look for this house again! Thank you!

Amazing

We took a 4th of July weekend trip to Galveston and loved our time at this home in Jamaica Beach. It is literally minutes from the beach and close to stores and local restaurants. Galveston is a short trip away if you need to make a grocery store run or explore the town. The home itself is nicely laid out and very accommodating with ample parking, multiple bathrooms, screened patio, bunk bed room for children, ceiling fans, Smart TVs, and much more. The host was excellent with communication before, during and after the stay to help ensure we had a good experience. Thank you!

Mini vacation with the family

This place was an authentic beach house experience. It had plenty of sleeping space and personal space for my family. We enjoyed having the outdoor shower, although mosquitoes were bad this time of year, and space for our cars. We did not utilize the outdoor patio and BBQ because of mosquitoes and the storm that blew in, but having the option was great. The beach is a short drive or bike ride across the way where you can park on the beach. Restaurants were near to us and I do highly recommend Brick House Tavern, especially if you have a large group! We would stay again in the future!

Odd set up for adults with one of the bedrooms inside the other- great for young kids though. Missing lots of light bulbs. The grill was very rusted and dirty- we chose not to use it. Large living room and eating area.

Disappointing

Had reserved for 12 people but only 10 showed up. House was accommodating. Had black mold and musty smelling. Only one shower worked for 10 people. Grill was filthy, did not get to use. House needs major cleaning and repairs.

Great location but roaches and dirty

The location is great. The bedding had not been washed, windows are filthy, large roaches in the home especially in the kitchen, the kitchen floor had not been mopped, wall panels are bulging, outside bathroom had not been cleaned in a long time. Dryer did not dry clothes. This property needs a little more TLC and cleanliness. I have stayed in quite a few Jamaica Beach homes and this home was by far the worse I have seen.

I am surprised to hear of any issues on a review. I was not contacted about anything during your stay which is part of the agreement you signed to let us know within 24 hours of arriving.. We have a regular exterminator because palmetto bugs…not roaches are very common on the island and with excessive heat they are more prevalent. We also reputable cleaning service that thoroughly cleans the house and is insured. All bedding is changed between each guest and new bedding is put on every time as we have 3 sets of sheets for each bed. All floors are mopped and bathrooms are sanitized as well. If you felt they did not do a good job before your stay I would have sent them back out immediately to fix the situation but I was not made aware of any issues during your stay. We take pride in wanting our guests to have the best experience and are always responsive to any issues our guests may encounter.

Disappointing stay but near the beach

The house was adequate but not very roomy for the 10 it reports to host. Rooms were cramped. Kitchen cabinets were in disarray, not well stocked for cooking for a large group. The floor of the house was dirty upon arrival. Dog food and a water bowl were left from previous person. There were large empty water bottles left next to a water dispenser but not usable. The countertop ice maker also did not work. The chairs in the storage were usable but the boogie boards were broken. Thought it was on the water since it documents a water slip for boat, no water can be seen from this location.

I appreciate your feedback. You did not report anything wrong with the house within the specified time frame and instead let me know 3 days into your stay that the floor was not to your satisfaction. Had I known, I could have had the cleaning crew back to fix anything you were not satisfied with right away. They had thoroughly cleaned and mopped the day before you came as it is between every renter but I would have sent them back to help you out If I knew there was an issue. The house is not listed as waterfront and states that it comes with access to the dock at the marina down the street in the description. There are photos or each of the rooms with a description of the sleeping accommodations and number of beds and bunk beds for each room. There are 2 grills, a large variety of pots and pans, 2 electric griddles, and a large variety of dinnerware, cups for all types of beverage and several serving bowls/serving platters and utensils for guests to use for their stay.

Great beach getaway

This was a large house with places for everyone! The house had all the necessities and was close to beach access. The owner was very helpful and responsive when we ran into a few snags during our stay. She over-compensated for issues very quickly! The 4th bedroom access through the 3rd bedroom was a little surprise upon arrival, but it all worked out ok. I would recommend this house for anyone’s vacation needs to Galveston/Jamaica Beach!

Casual Vacastay

The Great Room had plenty of space ... Kitchen adequate but cabinets in disarray unorganized. The screened porch was great to enjoy the Gulf Breezes and was pet friendly along with fenced dog area. New Outside shower worked well for sandy beach goers. I knew it was an older property but Sadly I had to clean on arrival to feel comfortable. I am not a germaphobe ... But I do like clean. I sprayed all bathrooms down with foaming disinfectant cleaner. I had to clean dirty surfaces and tables outside before use. I was disappointed and it made me wonder how well the house was cleaned. I would reccomend at least a deep cleaning at start of the season. Including powerwash of the house and porch. The sills were dirty ... Not just lite dust. Outside side tables too not even wiped. And the George Foreman Grill ... Nasty very disgusting. I had to just tell myself NOT to get a bucket & rags to clean and look past the dirt. I was there to enjoy time in Galveston ... Not to deep clean the property. Once past that it was time with friends and family that was enjoyed. The imperfections made it easier to relax and not worry with kids and pets running around having a good time . it was enjoyed overall. I know Melissa is making improvements ... A good scrubbing would be worth the investment. Thank you.

Location

Not as listed! Not close to the beach. The house is located at the last/furthest street in neighborhood. More than 15 minutes to walk to the beach. Too many mosquitoes. When we arrived, lot of trash was there in front of the house. We checked out on Tuesday, it all was still there even though manager told us that trash is always scheduled to be picked up on Monday morning. Terrible!

We are actually in the center of the neighborhood on the bay side about 10 blocks from the beach, which is accessible to the public by car. There are no public restrooms at the beach and it is suggested to drive onto the beach so you can get to the house quickly to use the restroom.

That dream came true in 2010. Our beach house is our favorite place to be and we would love nothing more than knowing others are making their own memories at our house.
