Super clean, newly renovated family cottage located in a quiet, gated community. Tons of amenities without leaving the community. Swimming in the olympic size swimming pool, tennis & bocce courts, children's playground, crabbing and fishing docks, kayaking, sailing, bike riding, community fire pit, walking trails, etc. Our family has been enjoying this unique community for many, many years. We are just a short distance to Cape Henlopen State Park, Lewes Beach, Rehoboth Beach, Assateague Island and surrounding resorts and parks with great restaurants, activities, beaches, golfing, boardwalks, etc.

Photos are a clear representation of this cute cottage. Blue and white theme is nice. Clean throughout! We attended a wedding nearby so didn’t hang out at the house very much. The coffee set up was great and took Sharon’s recommendation for a little breakfast restaurant that was excellent!

The house was just like the photos, lawn looked unmoved for a few weeks and house had a musty smell but other than that it was very nice.

Clean close to relatives in the community well supplied with linens kitchen full stocked however no garbage disposal but not an issue for me. Would not hesitate to recommend this place.

We enjoyed Sharon's cottage! The rental is one of the most comfortable, cleanest and cutest houses we've stayed in--my family loved it! The cottage was decorated with a nautical theme and it was equipped with all the necessities and plus some. The back porch/sunroom was especially nice. We'll be back!

Amazing experience

Sharon was extremely communicative and the place was adorable and had so many nice amenities like nice sheets, lots of spices for cooking, and lots of towels for the beach. Lovely spot-- wish we had more time to hang out in the place itself.

We stayed for ten days and had a great time. The house is even cuter than the photos show. I appreciated all of the cute decor that made it feel more like a home and not a hotel or empty rental. Everything went smoothly for check in. It's a nice, quiet and safe neighborhood. It's tucked away from the chaos of the beach but close enough to go out for the day for the beach or shopping and restaurants. We would definitely stay again!

Your property met our needs. We were in the area to attend a wedding celebration on the beach for our grandson. The house was clean and inviting. We just wished we could have stayed longer. Your renovations were nicely done.

Family Time

We loved the cottage. It was close to the beach and very spacious. The supplies to make you comfortable were amazing. Love the gated community. As all women traveling we felt safe. Will definitely rent again.

Clean and beautiful

The cottage was beautiful, clean and very simple to get to. It was difficult to pull our grandmother away from the house to even go to the beach! About 25 minutes away from Rehoboth beach, it was a perfect location. Friendly community and neighbors. My family and i plan to come back next year for an even longer stay!

Nice house in a great neighborhood

The house was nicely decorated and a great place for family to stay. Love the neighborhood for walks. The screened porch was wonderful for hanging out. Only downsides were the master bedroom smelled like cigarette smoke particularly when the door was closed. Also the property owner was a bit difficult. She had wanted me to list my children’s names on the lease which I did not want to do. She also said we broke a chair which was not the case - it was broken when we arrived. Rather than asking about it, she just told me we broke it and would be responsible for the repair cost. But clearly the owner cares about the property and keeps it up nicely. So, include all of your kids and take pictures of anything broken when you arrive, and likely you will be fine.

As the property owner, I am responsible for notifying the office of all the guests staying at my cottage, including children. You were aware of this when you booked my property, which you only listed 2 adults and 0 children, but you had 6 guests. I don't make the rules, but I have to follow them. None of my other tenants have an issue with the rules. I am sorry that it's not acceptable to you.

2 night stay

This was a very clean and charming property. We arrived to the property to check in, and unfortunately the air conditioner was not working,the temperature in the house was 82 degrees. I immediately contacted the host,and someone came out the next day to assess the issue. We were told that the issue would not be corrected until we were already checked out. We were told to open windows,and run fans but even with this the temperature in the home was up to 84 degrees during the day hours. We were asked if we wanted to leave,but due to traveling the distance and our daughter looking forward to the beach,we decided to stay. We went out and bought fans to help with the lack of AC. The owner told us that she would be giving us a discount on the stay due to the lack of AC, the discount only ended up being a very small discount,and I mean VERY small compared to what we paid in total. We were expecting a more accommodating discount due to the fact that we were drenched in sweat the whole weekend due to no AC,but we were told that the owner of the property only agreed to the very small discount due to the fact that we agreed to stay. Just a very unfortunate situation. It was out of the owners control,but there was no grace to us as the renters who spent a good bit of money to be there. The property would have been amazing if there was air conditioner! We will not be staying again due to the lack of empathy from the owner.

My family had another wonderful stay at Sharon’s Beach Cottage in Lewes! This was our second year enjoying this property, and once again, it met our expectations. Sharon is a fantastic host and is easy to communicate with both prior, during and after our stay. Sharon's home has everything you could need for a comfortable and relaxing vacation—and then some!We love to cook while we’re on vacation, so we especially appreciate the well-equipped kitchen. The heavy-duty stainless steel pots and pans are great, and the house is stocked with quality knives, kitchen gadgets, real glassware and stemware, and a variety of small appliances. It’s clear that Sharon put a lot of thought into making guests feel at home.The blue-and-white nautical/beach décor is charming, welcoming, and perfectly suited to a coastal getaway. The beds are also very comfortable. And for our family, the oversized washer and dryer are a huge bonus!Angola by the Bay is a peaceful, quiet community with wonderful amenities, including a beautiful pool, marina, and walking trails. The location is also convenient to Rehoboth Beach, Long Neck, and historic Lewes, giving us plenty of options for dining, shopping, and enjoying the area.We absolutely love staying here and look forward to coming back again. Sharon’s Beach Cottage has become a favorite family getaway for us, and we highly recommend it!

What a wonderful cottage in a great location! The pictures do not do this rental justice - this house is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. If you are a cook, the house comes with every kitchen gadget you could ever need. Every detail of your stay has been thought of, just unpack and relax! Sharon is a wonderful host to work with and very responsive to messages and questions. We have family in an adjacent neighborhood, so we will definitely be back.
