The host was very welcoming and helpful. The house was a great location and generally what I expected. The one negative is the master bathroom--glass shower door scrapes the tile, one of the towel racks is coming off the wall, the toilet kept running, paint peeling in the drawers, and light out in one of the closets. For the price, the bathroom should have been better. All else great and Steve was very resposive.

The space was absolutely perfect for what we needed. We enjoyed the many bedrooms and bathrooms, and the pool was wonderful. Loved the location, close enough to town to be convenient, but still somehow tranquil.

This house is in the best location in Palm Springs...a quiet neighborhood and just steps away from downtown Palm Springs. The house is large...two large master room size bedrooms are on opposite sides of the building. The third bedroom is smallish with two single beds. The fourth bedroom is very small with a double bed and is right next to the back door and the washer/dryer...this room felt cramped. The pool is magnificent. It's large and deep...the type they don't install anymore. The pool was my favorite thing about this house...I would stay here just for the pool! There is a large backyard with grass, patio furniture and a BBQ. Overall, we had a great time.

The very best vacation rental ever

The home is very warm and welcoming some rentals are clean but sterile this home seems like someone loved this house and decorated it with items that meant something to them. The pool is large the air conditioners work excellently we were all impressed and did not want to leave. Beautiful neighborhood.

The San Jacinto Cottage is an absolutely stunning property! The backyard is exquisite with a gorgeous pool that we spent the entire day and evening in. The house is well stocked and the beautifully curated interior decor makes the home feel so comfortable and welcoming. The bedrooms are beautiful and the beds are comfortable. A friends reunion brought our group together and we absolutely loved our stay here and would come back again! The owner Steve is so responsive and was delightful. He provided recommendations for places of interest and overall provided such a phenomenal experience. The location can’t be beat as it’s walkable to downtown Palm Springs and close to all the shops.

Beautiful quintessential Palm Springs home

The location of this gorgeous home is perfect. Just a couple streets from downtown. Just far enough that you are surrounded by gorgeous residential homes and yet only a few minutes from the main strip.The pool is amazing, it's so big and pretty! Remember to ask the host for heating if wanted. It is an extra cost and is turned on remotely. We were there in April so needed the pool heating. Perhaps in the hotter months it's unnecessary. I like to be able to get up out of bed and walk straight in to the pool. The pool is a lovely private setting with surrounding lawn, large enough to do yoga, my kids played catch, it's a decent size surround. So peaceful and relaxing and private. The birds chirping in the morning really made my stay.Cleanliness was mostly good, the ensuite bathroom shower could have been better. On any matters that I needed to message or call the host about, like the heating, he was very responsive and helpful immediately.I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I love the house, it has many gorgeous old style palm springs touches and it was exactly what I needed. Thank you!

Wonderful day in a unique beautiful home

We so enjoyed our visit in this beautiful home and it’s so close to downtown Palm Springs. We were able to walk to many restaurants and activities. The house is so uniquely decorated, the backyard is very private with a wonderful pool, and a view of the mountains through the palm trees. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the eight of us had plenty of room in the living areas and in the bedrooms.Thank you Steve for a great stay and for being so responsive!

We loved the property and layout of the house. The only complaint was that many of the outlets did not work.It would have been nice if you mentioned that there are many floating devices in the garage. We wouldn’t have brought our own.We had a very enjoyable stay.

Perfect Stay in a Charming Historic Home

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful historic house in Palm Springs! The location couldn’t be better—just steps from the main strip, making it easy to explore shops, restaurants, and everything the area has to offer. The house itself is so cozy and full of charming historical details, while still having all the modern comforts we needed.The outdoor space is a highlight—the pool is lovely, and the mountain views are absolutely stunning. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak up the desert sun. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The house fit our group perfectly, with plenty of space for everyone. If you're looking for a charming, well-located home with great amenities and wonderful hosts, this is it. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Fantastic property

This has an incredible early California vibe we were immediately transported to the good old days of the 60’s country club lifestyle of Palm Springs. Updated kitchen made meals a pleasure! The antiques were fascinating and the spaces very private! We gathered in the living room and under the poolside porch as it was raining a lot . Walked to town and the Raquet Club to Spencer’s for lunch! We will definitely return! Our Host and the property care takers went above and beyond accommodating our check out times! Thank you for a great 70th birthday stay!

Amazing property

This house was perfect for 4 friends celebrating 60 years of friendship. With 4 bedrooms and 4 baths we each had our own space. The kitchen is beautiful and extremely well equipped. The decor is amazing, with wonderful artifacts on every surface. It is just minutes from downtown but very private. Steve was a wonderful host, responding quickly to our queries. He arranged for us to be able to check in early which was really appreciated.

We Love This Property!

Our family evacuated from the Los Angeles fires and needed some time away to relax. The San Jacinto cottage was absolutely awesome for our two-week stay. It is a beautiful home. With our child and dog, it was perfect. The property is all fenced in. A true oasis. The home is very spacious and decorated with love. Extremely spacious with every amenity you could imagine... barbecue, washer dryer, etc. It did not feel like a rental but more like our home. There is a spacious grass area in the front and a huge backyard with a massive pool, two orange trees and a magnificent view of the mountains. Both my wife and I worked during the day and there was so much room that we could have lots of privacy while others enjoyed their vacation. It is located in the Historic Tennis Club area of Palm Springs. The neighborhood is beautiful and so are the neighbors, many of whom we met on our walks. The owner was incredibly kind and responsive from the moment that we booked the house. This was followed by an email with every detail of the house with step-by-step instructions on how to use everything. We were even sent a list of restaurants and activities, many of which we took advantage of and the advice was spot on. We cannot wait to return!

This is a beautiful property in a prime location. You can walk to everything downtown. It’s a hour from Joshua Tree National Park. Would definitely stay here again.

We love spending time at the San Jacinto Cottage. We love collecting items that represent the Desert and Early California living. We love desert landscape paintings and art and artifacts of the Native Americans. We also, love hiking up the mountain and walking to nearby downtown shops and eateries.

This is perfect Palm Springs home - private in every way.... with stunning views of the mountains from almost every room in the house. The Historic Tennis Club is one of the oldest and most charming neighborhoods in Palm Springs. The house is very peaceful and quiet yet it is walking distance to everything Palm Springs has to offer including the Palm Springs Art Museum as well as shops and restaurants. It's also close access to hiking and nature trails at the just end of the street. There are amazing views - especially when the sun rises or sets against the beautiful mountains. There's a real sense of Palm Springs History here with a beautifully restored 1937 pool and patio area for entertaining or just relaxing in the desert.

The house is extremely peaceful and quiet. The San Jacinto Cottage is built in hacienda Monterey Style where all of the rooms open up to the outside pool and patio... And have beautiful mountain views. This home is perfectly designed for indoor / outdoor living. The home is outfitted with our personal collection of desert landscape paintings, vintage library, and period furnishings. There is also a great eat-in chef's kitchen with top of the line appliances. The beds are all quality certa beds with 100% cotton sheets and blankets
