Welcome to Hale Ono Loa 214 – Your Maui Oceanfront Hideaway! Step into your own slice of paradise at this 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom second-floor condo, where the sound of the waves and the salty ocean breeze set the tone for your Maui escape. From your private covered lanai, you'll be treated to gorgeous ocean views—perfect for sunrise coffee, sunset drinks, or simply letting the trade winds carry your worries away.

Hale Ono Loa 214 sleeps up to four guests with a plush king bed in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. While the condo doesn't have A/C, ceiling fans and cool island breezes keep the space comfortable day and night. The open living area is decorated in a fresh Hawaiian style, with modern furnishings, tropical touches, and a big flat-screen TV for relaxing after your island adventures.
The bedroom is your peaceful retreat with premium linens, while the upgraded bathroom offers a bathtub/shower combo for convenience. The full kitchen—complete with full-size appliances, plenty of counter space, and breakfast bar seating—makes it easy to whip up a quick breakfast or a fresh-caught island feast.

***Please be advised that elevator 1 will be out of service for repairs beginning April 1st, 2025, and will remain unavailable for approximately 12 weeks. During this period, a bellman will be available to assist with carrying luggage and personal items. The bellman will be on duty during the following hours: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.***

We stayed a week at this condo and loved it! The condo was well stocked and the pool was amazing. Very quiet and still close to restaurants/coffee shops. We would definitely stay again!

Nice getaway!

Charming little Maui condo

We loved our stay in Hale Ono Loa 214. The condo and property were exactly as pictured and described. The view from the Lanai is actually way more beautiful than the picture shows on the website. We enjoyed many evenings out there watching the sunsets and mornings watching the whales. The condo was clean and well equipped. The property itself was also very beautiful and well maintained. We had a very pleasant stay and would return again. Sad to have to leave!

Very clean, great location

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. Very clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Enjoyed the snorkeling gear, beach towels, etc that were available. Only downside is I didn’t realize the unit didn’t have central AC. It was warm at night during our stay, but we were exhausted by the end of the day so it had little effect on our ability to sleep. Would definitely recommend for others during when night temps are reasonable.

Maui Condo Rental

Stay was pleasant as anticipated. We found the condo to be clean and suitable for our needs. It is showing its age with some peeling paint in the shower ceiling and behind the toilet, a large door window that is difficult to open, a kitchen faucet that is not functioning properly and a noisy fan above the bed. With minor repairs the unit should be well received by future renters.

Lovely stay, gorgeous view, great area

We enjoyed our stay in this unit very much. The view is lovely, the pool is great, and it had been stocked with everything that we'd need. The bathroom definitely shows its age and could use some love (i.e., some renovation). Communication was fine, but it was clear we were dealing with a corporation, and not an individual/owner of the unit. So it did lack that personal connection that some VRBO rentals have. The area around is great and very walkable and interesting.

Beautiful Oceanfront Condo

We loved our stay. My husband and I booked this for our honeymoon and it was all we could have asked for and more. The view is stunning being on the second floor. If you want to get even closer, there are stairs to access the ocean (no beach, rocky surface) and many lookout spots. We saw 10-15 turtles at once and is a great location. We rented mopeds and were able to commute to local surrounding towns. Communication with the property manager was great and met the needs we had. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. The pool is pretty cold considering the wind that never stops and the occasional rain, but that’s a part of being in paradise! Slightly dated but gives a “beachy” vibe. Would recommend with the great price. Thank you!

Update and repair

Needs ant fumigation. Couldn’t leave any food on counter or ant’s would be everywhere. Bar stools at counter just decorations. Totally useless. Bathroom sink drain doesn’t work. Shower dripping all the time and loose plumbing.

Beautifully renovated suite 203

Originally booked 214 but as renovations were able to start early we got upgraded to unit 203. It’s a beautifully renovated suite with the most comfortable king bed and lovely French doors leading from the bedroom. The Lanai was our favourite part as we had a beautiful ocean view where we would listen to the waves and could even see whales jumping! Small sandy beach to right of complex where we saw a massive sea turtle sunbathing! Suite had all basic amenities and very clean and modern furniture. Lots of light in the suite and as there are no curtains, make sure to bring sleep mask if you are a light sensitive sleeper. Otherwise very tastefully decorated and comfortable suite. Even met Jeff who was kind enough to help us with a small glitch in the door keypad. Very attentive and resolved it quickly for us. Even gave us some awesome suggestions for things to do! Overall a perfect stay for my husband and me. Loved the area as well. Around 5min drive to Kanapali beaches or 10 mins to Lahaina. And also super close to Kapalua and Napili beaches. Highly recommend a stay here!

Not what’s expected

I’ve never written a review before, but I felt this property needs to have a truthful one. Looks good in photos. No beach access (staircase leads to large slippery rocks). No dishwasher, the sliding patio door is very hard to move both door and screen. Patio chairs and patio carpet are tired and need to be replaced. Bar stools to high, can’t sit at bar on them. They do have paper products and kitchen dishes, pots/pans no spices - only salt (No pepper in the grinder). Bedroom dresser is a plastic set of drawers in closet with 3 drawers to put clothes in (they do have plenty of hangers). View was nice. Bed was very comfortable. There is a nice new pull out couch that could sleep 2 and extra pillows and linens in closet. You hear parking lot noise in the bedroom. Pool is not heated! If you plan on going soon (May 2022) warning… they are doing construction and painting outside of building. They were jackhammering while we were there. Whole unit was out of date and needed some loving care. It is close to Lahaina which is nice, and has good beaches there. But everything else is a drive.

Our stay

Very pleasant. Enjoyed the view from the balcony and the amenities. We wanted to have an early check in and tried to communicate with the property manager over a week in advanced however it was not possible. Everything else was great.
