A very unique way to spend time in Bayfield. Location was excellent close to everything. Check in and check out was great and host was very accommodating. Great communication all around. Everyone we met in the marina was very friendly. Staying on a boat is a bit like staying in a camper, I enjoyed the experience, but I’m not likely to do it again.

Amazing view! Great location! And plenty of space on the boat. Parking right next to the boat and the marina facilities are steps away. Would definitely come back.

I was up there for a girls weekend. There were 5 of us. This was a wonderful spot with beautiful views of the lake. We loved sitting outside on the boat into the evening. We were thankful we had nice weather. The other people around were friendly and welcoming. The main cabin of the boat and bathroom was clean. The fridge space was plenty. Beds were decent but one friend who was a side sleeper had a difficult time getting good sleep. The main bedroom was a bit dusty but it didn’t bother me much as some of my friends. The 2 issues we had were storage space for our belongings. We packed light but every nook and cranny is taken up by the owner so our weekend bags had to be in the living room area or in the car. Had it been raining it would have been challenging for all 5 of us to sit in the main cabin together comfortably with our bags. The other issue was the toilet. The first night the sewage smell after using the toilet ( only # 1 at all times) permeated through the whole cabin and was unbearable. I was able to contact the host at 10 pm and was told to put a special liquid down the toilet. It helped somewhat but I was the only one able to sleep in the back bedroom for the rest of our stay due to the smell lingering ( my nose is not very sensitive). 2 people slept in the main cabin where it was less stinky. If we hadn’t had that issue or the storage issue it would have been a better stay. Overall, it’s a beautiful spot, fun idea to stay on a boat.

What a unique place to stay! Comfortable and walkable. Swimming and fishing right outside our door. Attentive oversight. We had a blast and my kids won't forget the experience!

Great adventure, close to everything!

B-hap-e had everything you could need for the quintessential Bayfield experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights onboard and enjoying all the things that make boat life and small marinas so special! Our teenage kids enjoyed it too. Walkable to all everything in Bayfield, and so many friendly marina neighbors. We made so many wonderful memories. Thank you for sharing B-hap-e with us, Sharon! The kids are already asking when we can come back!

Bayfest adventure

Staying on the boat was the best adventure. It was easy walking distance to downtown Bayfield. That weekend was Bayfest and it was so much fun. Shopping, food and music. Saturday night there was a big storm, boat rocking back and forth. Still sleep well.

New and different !

We had never stayed in such fun accommodations and were thrilled at the location as well. Our hostess was very communicative while the location might’ve been difficult it was so easy. Next time we will choose better weather ! We took 3 hour tour by boat around most of the ApostleIslands. Beautiful.

Excellent experience/second year in a row!

The setting is picturesque! It is nothing short of amazing. we loved being able to wake up and retire for the evening with the elements of nature. The local marina folks are welcoming and very friendly. I look forward to planning an even longer stay in 2020. Thank you Sharon, your hospitality was beyond wonderful!! Shari

An amazing treat on the water!

What a great way to enjoy Bayfield and Madeline Island! Sharon, you're a genius for sharing your boat on VRBO and I am so happy I found your listing because this is the ONLY way to stay in town overnight now. I am hooked and not to mention my twin boys. They thought it was so cool and loved every second on board.Thank YOU!! Perfect amount of space, BEAUTIFUL view of the lake, kind host and neighbors. Ten Stars for Sharon!

Needs a deep clean and some repairs/updates

I get that staying on a boat is different than in a condo or hotel room, but the boat really could use a deep cleaning. There were cobwebs everywhere. There are also some basic repairs and updates that are needed to make the boat more comfortable and the features easier to use (like filing down the metal barb on the railing to the upper deck, and making it easier to open the windows for air circulation). The “couches” are incredibly uncomfortable and there’s no table that can be used to play a game of cards or eat a meal. Although the listing states there is wi-fi, there isn’t any, and this information isn’t shared until it’s too close to the reservation to change your mind.

It was a fun experience for 3 folks in their 70s. Not crazy about marine toilets but just steps away was a very clean bathroom and shower that was so accessible at the marina. It was fun catching fish off the front of the boat. The view was amazing. Coffee in the morning and bloody Mary's on the back deck in the evening were pretty great. The people at the marina were so friendly and Sharon was a good host.We laughed so much and will cherish our boat memories on the B-happy

The location to downtown was great for walking and putting in our kayaks. The view of Superior was gorgeous. It would have been good to know ahead of time that the preferred restrooms to use were the ones in the marina - they were fine, but knowing ahead of time would have been good. Sharon was very prompt in all communications and easy to work with.

surprised by bathroom

It was a lovely and unique stay on the boat. My daughter loved it. It would have been prudent to mention the bathroom situation though. We had to use the Marine facilities to shower and use the toilet. It was inconvenient and if I knew this ahead of time, I probably would have booked a different Vrbo.

Best Sleep Ever!

I LOVED the unique experience of sleeping on this boat, floating with the waves and an easy breeze and llite rain! The neighbors were all very nice and welcoming! It’s exactly what you would expect from a boat! So glad I tried it!

Easy Boat Life

We all enjoyed the easy relaxing time sitting on the boat in the harbor. Everything about our stay contributed to a fun and different experience. Sharon was a lovely host and excellent communicator!
