This booking was a huge disappointment. Despite the house itself being acceptable and well furnished we had so many issues which spoilt our vacation.The major issues were that the house had been structurally changed since booking in addition to daily very noisy building works within a few feet next door and lack of privacy. We had never been advised of these major issues before our final payment, otherwise we would have cancelled for a refund.The pool cage had been totally removed since we booked and the Lanai had been totally closed in leaving it very claustrophobic.On arrival we were given the wrong access code and wasted 2 hours getting in. We were without hot water for 48 hours and had to waste our vacation time waiting in twice for repair men to fix it. The hair drier blew up and burnt my wife’s hand whilst being used. The electric kettle had a European plug so could not be used and wasn’t replaced until 2 days before we left. Pool maintenance was almost non-existent (one visit in 12 days) and due to there being no cage, the pool and patio were always full of leaves and debris. Don’t be fooled by the TV room, it has a large TV and comfortable seating, but no cinema surround system so the sound quality from the TV was awful.We are currently making a substantial claim against VRBO/Visa for misrepresentation and false advertising.Of the many properties we have rented in this area this was, by far, the worst.
