The property is spacious and has something for all ages. We were a family of 13 in the home ranging in age from 1yr-82 years old. We had plenty of room and the downstairs game room was a hit for all. Host were accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend for large families and would definitely stay again.

The home was filled with dust. Some of the window sills were covered with dead flies. There were stains on rugs and some bedcovers. The washer had mold around the edges. The stairs to the game room were dangerously steep. The pictures of the home need to be updated. Though they were light and beautiful, the home was dark and unkept. I think we were misled by the pictures and old reviews. The children had to be extremely careful on the steep staircase to the basement as well as myself due to age. I regret the home was not acceptable for us. We just moved to Bloomington on July 13. Because of the condition of the VRBO my husband and I chose not to stay in the home. My son and his family slept there but were unable to have guests over. Our extended family lives in Bloomington and we were looking forward to family time in the”beautifully pictured VRBO” game room. The staircase had what appeared to be sticky gum on a step and the steps were quite dirty and steep. I know you wanted us to enjoy our visit, however we did not. The back patio was completely unacceptable for sitting out. I have learned a lesson and hope in the future you will update the cleanliness and the pictures to validate your rental property as it actually is. The representation is a false one.

We are disappointed to read this review because it does not reflect the history of our property or our experience with this reservation. Prior to this stay, this home had earned 56 five-star reviews across our other booking platforms and six positive VRBO reviews. This was the first time in the property’s history that concerns of this nature had ever been raised. We take every concern seriously and had already provided a 20% refund in an effort to resolve the matter. After that, the guest continued sending more and more messages requesting additional compensation. As the communication became increasingly inappropriate and unrelated to the condition of the property, we ended the conversation, blocked further communication via text and on the platform, and reported the matter to VRBO. Because of the circumstances surrounding this reservation, we chose not to leave a public review of the guest. We believe this review was submitted only after we declined further compensation and ended communication. We remain committed to providing an exceptional experience. Our home is professionally cleaned before every stay, and our listing accurately represents the property. We encourage future guests to consider the property’s long history of overwhelmingly positive reviews, both before and after this isolated incident.

The property was beautiful and exactly what we needed for our event. The most used space was the big dining room table where all the girls got hair and makeup done before the wedding. The game room downstairs was a fun place to gather after the rehearsal dinner. There was plenty of room for all the guests to feel like they had their own private space.

The house was perfect for IWU graduation. Three floors with modern finishes, bedrooms on each level (grandparents didn't have to climb stairs, and no sound from other floors, so we slept well! Such a beautiful vintage home! The house was equipped with board games, video games, a pool table, and more, which was helpful on a rainy weekend. Open-concept living/dining room near the kitchen made for fun family meals. Kitchen was well-equipped, bathrooms very clean with plenty of towels.
