Charming - not charmed

Climbing the number of stairs to the front door was one thing - but then a spiral staircase to the bathrooms & bedrooms - too much!! And the living room upstairs but then back down to the kitchen and dining. hmmm

Beautiful Beach

Over all our stay was good. Never really saw or spoke with anyone who worked at front desk. All communication was done through e-mail and self check in with a lock box. All instructions were clear. Office staff were prompt in their email replies. Pros- Beach is wonderful! You can walk the beach down to the public Cocoplum beach and back for a nice walk. The beach had been freshly groomed the day we arrived. There were plenty of chairs and places to sit on the beach and by the pool. Hot tub was nice when you could get in it (only 1 family allowed at a time). Condo had more then everything we needed. The outside patio was nice at cooler times in the morning and evening. It was nice to have a laundry room to dry towels and freshen up your clothes. Everyone we met around us were very friendly and respectful of the quiet times in the evenings. Cons- The beds are extremely uncomfortable!! Plus the wheels on the bed on the hard floors caused the bed to roll around any time you rolled over or moved in bed. It was really annoying. The single bed came completely off the bed frame because the frame wasn't locked. I ended up sleeping on the couch for 3 nights of our stay. The wheels were not locked on the refrigerator either and every time you opened the door the fridge would roll out. For the $$$ they are charging they really need to do something about the beds! Stairs weren't an issue for us but you have to walk up one flight to enter condo. Then another flight anytime you need to use the bathroom since they are upstairs.

Clean, Great Location!

I traveled with my 3 adult children so we needed a place with adequate space. Great location, beach space was our top 3 of must-haves for our rental and it was very spacious for all of us. This location had quality kitchenware, tvs in sleeping room upstairs, and plenty of towels. Pool and jacuzzi were well kept and not crowded, the beach was cleaned on the mornings that it rained and brought in seaweed. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the mattress on the sleeper sofa. I would definitely return and recommend this property. Thank you!

Perfect for us

My husband and I took our teenage son and his friend to Marathon for a vacation and we needed a place where everyone had their own "space". This was perfect! We were there when tropical storm Elsa blew by the Keys and the management called us the day we were waiting out the storm to make sure everything was ok. After the storm, there was a lot of stinky seaweed on the beach and a tractor came by the next day and pushed away the seaweed so that we had a sandy shore again that didn't stink. Thank you for letting us stay!

Great location. The beach area had alot of seaweeds but otherwise the place was clean.

The entire process was smooth. Check-in and check-out was very seamless.

NIce place!

All was good! Only issue is the smell of Fabuloso was overwhelming it gave me a headache. I had to air out the property with the windows open all night. The unit was SUPER clean and the kithcen while small was fully functional and well stocked with everything you could need!

Marathon visit

Overall I give it a 3 but we did like parts of our stay so don’t be turned off by the rating. Here is why.. overall the living areas were very adequate and comfortable. The two bedrooms were spacious for two couples but an extra bed in the one bedroom was too much and we moved it into the living room to accommodate the three kids.. no bigee. You notice I started at the top floor because after going up and down the stairs from outside to inside you never spent much time downstairs.too tired, lol. The kitchen was stocked well with the basics and serviced us well. Here were the disappointing areas....the beach was not what we saw online... while I realize Mother Nature controls everything in the keys there has to be more focus and effort on beach maintenance. Not raked every day and the accumulation of seaweeds was bad. The wind blew it inshore but please clear it more often. The hammocks were not up because “tree maintenance” was scheduled but never observed so the never were up. Overall I would suggest spending a bit to spruce up the place and make it less “worn”. As I said it is a nice place but just needs some TLC to step it up to a 4 or a 5.

Marathon Keys April 2019

Very nice 6 night stay at Coco Plumb Tennis Club!! everything was as represented. very clean and well kept facilities. We would recommend staying here for sure! Randy and Connie Bloom

70 degrees warmer than home during March

Loved the functional and quirky design. Lots of room for 5 of us. Every room had patio doors that allowed ocean breeze to flow through, which was perfect in March when the temps were 65-85 F. The beach was good for the keys. Marathon has a decent central location in the keys and we could get everywhere within an hour. The staff did everything to they could to help us make the most of our visit. Property is very well kept and clean. Note that you do have to climb a spiral staircase to the second floor.

Coco Plum Beach

My family of three adults and one child stayed at the resort for 5 nights. The staff was very friendly and willing to help with whatever we needed. The only issue we really had was the wifi. On a couple of nights it went out and we did not get service. Thanks everyone and we would absolutely stay there again.

Perfect Keys Getaway for Family of 4

We booked Coco Plum Villa online and were very glad we did. We enjoyed having a place of our own. The Villa came with a laundry/trash/recycle room downstairs. Upstairs was the main floor including a nice kitchen with granite countertops, and every appliance we needed, including cookware to cook Lobsters in! There was a nice size dinning table and sitting area with exit sliding glass doors to our screened in wrap around porch with patio furniture. Upstairs had 2 separate bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. The water pressure was good and we had plenty of hot water, enough for a family of 4. There was a TV room upstairs with dining room table to do work on or games. There was a DVD player as well. We had good Wifi strength. The only potential draw back was that for people with stiff joints, the spiral stair case would be hard to navigate up and down constantly. Our view from Villa #6 was good I thought. We did have a partial view of the ocean and it was less expensive than the beach sided ones but if you can afford it, the view in those have to be pretty awesome. Be careful as not all Villas will have good views. The pool was very nice and so was the jacuzzi and outdoor pool bathhouse. The staff was friendly at checkin and checkout and made the process easy. Other notes: The location is great for several restaurants close by car. Marathon is great midway point from Key Largo and Key West for day trips. I'd especially recommend AquaVentures with Miranda for a guided eco tour at nearby Hammock State Park for the family to see lots of local wildlife. We spent a week at the condo and it was awesome. There is a Publix close by car as well. So, overall, would definitely recommend this for a family.

Spacious home on the water

We were a party of four staying in this comfortable space witch satisfied all our needs. We visited Marathon key for the fishing. Looked at local hotels and found this was a much better alternative. The you Cocoplum staff for such good service.

Family Friendly

Cocoplum was a. quiet, family friendly place to stay. All the facilities were well kept. The unit was clean and the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Loved it

Great value. Nice to have unit to ourselves. No housekeeping so we could sleep late. Other units were quiet. Perfect location to other Keys and Key West, and great recommendations from office for dining options and things to do.

Wonderful

This is the 4th year my family has spent a February week at Cocoplum. We're 9 people & rent 2 units. The grounds are beautiful, the pool & beach facilities are amazing, the units spacious & clean. I need to make special mention of the staff. They are the most accommodating, competent, & pleasant group of people I have ever met. Thanks to everyone for another great stay.
