Good afternoon, Jeri. I’m sorry that your experience at Islander Home was not satisfactory, and I appreciate your feedback, as it helps us identify areas for improvement. Our house is designed for families, is pet-friendly, and has a maximum capacity of 8 guests to ensure comfort, with appropriate furniture and utensils. It is also specified on the platform that additional charges apply for extra guests starting with the sixth. From the beginning, when you mentioned that you are a host in Marco Island and the owner of an apartment in Sand Island, I perceived an inspection approach with criteria typical of hotel management. Noticing that the rules were not extremely detailed, I felt that you took advantage of that flexibility to act at your convenience. During your stay, you made observations regarding the lack of a grill, the need for an air pump for the bicycles, and the absence of a detailed house manual. I informed you that we do not advertise a grill, that I would consider your suggestion regarding the air pump, and I immediately provided you with basic information, such as the trash collection schedule. Additionally, it was clarified that the bicycles are equipped with locks. Regarding security, we have three cameras at the front of the house, including a Ring Doorbell that notifies us when someone enters or leaves. On several occasions, the presence of unregistered individuals—both adults and teenagers—was detected, which contravenes the house policies. It is worth mentioning that you declined the extra guest charges, arguing that they were only visitors, while you accepted the charge for the pet. This implies that although additional charges were generated, they were not fully paid due to the insufficiently detailed rules regarding guests. Regarding the door lock, the inconvenience with the battery was resolved within six minutes after your notification. As for the garage, for security reasons, an individual code is not provided, as this would require constant changes that could compromise the privacy of future bookings. I appreciate that you pointed out the shortcomings with a critical eye, as I take every observation as an opportunity to improve.
