Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay! Maui Sands is a low density property, a great location for a family vacation or a couples retreat. This upgraded condo sits directly over the ocean in the heart of Honokowai.
Maui Sands Resort is centrally located in West Maui between Kaanapali and Kapalua, where you can experience the world-class beaches, and golf courses. We are also within minutes of a variety of restaurants, shopping and grocery stores.

MAUI SANDS is a low density, quiet complex, perfect for a family stay, or a romantic getaway with it's west facing lanai that captures every sunset beautifully. During whale watching season, Nov thru April, you will a wonderful seat to enjoy the show! This is a lovingly upgraded and clean condo that sits 15' to the shoreline.

Amazing View!

The view from the lanai is spectacular! We loved sitting outside and watching the whales. The property is dated but unit has been remodeled. Not the cleanest or nicest place I’ve stayed but the views made it worthwhile!

The Perfect Getaway!

Wow. This unit was exactly as described if not better. Let’s just start with that VIEW!! Unbelievable!! Floor to ceiling windows maximized the view and we could not get enough of it. We watched whales every day from that spacious lanai and comfy loungers and even saw a few sea turtles swim by as well. Kitchen had everything we needed in terms of wine glasses, dinnerware etc. The beds were comfy. Didn’t need the air conditioning. Bree, the property manager, was very responsive to all of our questions and couldn’t have been more helpful. We appreciated the beach chairs and towels and used them every day. We loved the area, too… more laid back than the big hotels/resorts. So many things within easy walking distance. We cannot wait to come back and will definitely book THIS EXACT SAME UNIT!

Couldnt have asked for anything better!

We arrived in Maui for the first time in May 2014. Our condo great. We could have never left the condo and had a great vacation right there. This particular unit is just feet from the ocean and the view is amazing. Great little beach for kids when the tide is low. We swam here a lot. Lots of sea turtles and fish. The condo grounds are lush and clean. Very family friendly too but was still pretty quiet. Noise was never an issue. The condo is equipped with everything you might need. Kitchen has pots, pans, coffee maker, microwave etc. Beach towels, bath towels, extra blankets, beach toys, boogie boards, beach chairs. Flat screen tv and wifi. It was really a good deal ! We walked across the street to grocery store, small organic market, and ABC store frequently. Just a mile or so from premier soft sandy beaches in front of the OceanClub and Kaanapali Resorts. If you need a condo with everything, at a low price, don't hesitate ! The resorts and hotels here will cost a lot more and you don't have the convenience of your own kitchen. Would definitely book again !

Maui Sands- perfect ocean access

Location is perfect and close to lots of restaurants in walking distance. Bree was very responsive to our needs. This is the closest Condo to the ocean that we have stayed in this area.

Spectacular views!

The condo is in a superb location - very close to supermarkets, restaurants and local attractions. But why would you want to leave the house? The view from the balcony is incredible, looking right out on Lana'i. The sunsets are pure magic. The unit itself is very comfortable and was immaculate when we arrived. Would definitely stay here again.

Magical Family Vacation

The owners responded to our reservation request quickly. They offered information about the area and were very easy to contact. It was a pleasure dealing with them before and during our trip! The apartment itself was beautiful! It had all of the amenities we required. We cooked and ate most meals at 'home' and had all the tools necessary. The ceiling fans were silent and moved the delicious ocean air well around the apartment. It was wonderful to have a couple of beach chairs and enough towels for the whole group. The view off the lanai/balcony was perfection! We watched whales breeching, turtles eating, and fish jumping. We're not pool people but it looked well maintained. I love Maui Sands and would return in a heartbeat! The location is 5 minutes away from Black Rock where we snorkeled daily. We did some snorkeling onsite as well. We enjoyed walks around the neighbourhood. It was a magical family vacation. Thank you!

Perfect for our family

We had a great stay at Maui Sands! The unit had everything we needed, including beach gear and towels, and it was so spacious and nicely updated. Although the living room and master bedroom had A/Cs, we never had to use it thanks to the Maui breeze. The condo’s amenities included a pool and laundry — both were very helpful when you travel with kids. The view couldn’t be beat, and it was so nice to hear the ocean waves. Plus Bree was very helpful and responsive throughout our planning process and our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer. Mahalo for hosting us!

Beautiful

The place was wonderful! The water was literally right outside! Turtles outside, we even had a monk seal visit one day. We saw spinner dolfins and whales just in front of the property. We had everything we needed and did not even need to use our shampoo and soap as they had everything we needed. Definitely a place to come back to!

Wonderful vacation spot!

We could not have enjoyed our stay more! From the breathtaking view of the water and the whales swimming by. The condo was just as expected - was clean, plenty of towels plenty of kitchen supplies, and a great selection of beach and snorkeling equipment. The pool was clean and refreshing, and the locals were welcoming and helpful. My family enjoyed every minute and are already planning to return!

Awesome family spring break trip

This property was great for our family of four and had everything we needed for our week long stay. The view from this condo is amazing. The location is also great with several stores and restaurants along with a food truck park with in walking distance.

Great location, but….

Great location. This condo is literally right on the water. Close to Lahaina, Kaanapali and Kapalua. The grounds of the condo were charming and well kept. The condo itself had been updated as advertised but it was dirty. The kitchen, while well stocked, was dirty. The cabinets were sticky and grimy. There was dirt in the corners on the floors, etc. The beds were old and uncomfortable and the linens were dingy, stained and old. The pillows felt like a sack of rocks. So bad I went out and bought my own. It seems like a pretty easy fix to make this a great place to stay.

Beautiful ocean view

This was a great rental. Just an fyi though the pool is not heated so it was really cold. But the condo was very comfortable and the view was incredible.

Family Pandemic Vacation 2021

Absolutely the best view and location for a family vacation of 6, especially with two young children. We stay a total of 9 days…so having an oceanfront view on our down days was priceless. The rental itself is clean, up-to-datewith fully equipped appliances to make cooking in easier. Bree, was a great host and responsive to our every needs. The staff at Maui Sand Property was very friendly and helpful (we accidentally left our car light on) Thankfully for Ricky (Staff) notice it and texted us promptly to avoid the engine from dying. Overall, we had an AMAZING stay and would come back and recommend for other family that are traveling with kids or just a couple that prefers a quiet/socially distance place, especially during the pandemic.

Great ocean getaway

We usually do brief but accurate reviews. We appreciate those. This unit and experience require a little more character. This is a wonderful unit, right on the ocean front, beautifully remodeled, very well furnished and equipped. It was very comfortable. Really couldn’t ask for anymore from a 2 bedroom condo. Wish we would have been there our whole stay. Great for up to 4 people. 5+ stars for me. There was a miscommunication on arrival and the management company hadn’t gotten the entry code to us. We should have inquired before we arrived, our mistake, but thought it would show up in our VRBO account by the check in time. When it didn’t we were faced with sitting there trying to contact the manager for help. It was disappointing that all of the contact numbers yielded no help. After an about an hour of panic on our part a full time resident provided us with a number of one of the cleaning ladies who was kind enough to talk to us and provide another number of the cleaner for our unit, who fortunately called us back and came over and let us in. She was a savior! We should have been more diligent, and will be going forward! But this Managment company should be more assessable for issues like this. All’s well that ends well and this was a wonderful place. Randy and Sherry

Fantastic condo in great location with everything you need

My wife and I brought my mom here to celebrate her 75th birthday. The moment we walked in we fell in love with this place. It’s exactly what is shown online. The views are amazing. We saw rainbows, jaw dropping sunrises and sunsets, and turtles on a daily basis. They also have all the beach gear you need to make those days by the water comfortable for everyone. They now have a brand new boogie board that we left for the next guests that we never got a chance to use. Will definitely stay here again.

Amazing Views Beautiful Property

We are a family of 4. We stayed July 10 - 16, 2021. The condo was super clean and updated. The views were breathtaking. Our son opted to sleep in the living room so he could wake up to those amazing views. We loved walking along the beach during low tide each morning. The grounds are well maintained and offered plenty of outdoor seating. The condo had 4 beautiful beach chairs and a really nice beach umbrella. It also had snorkel gear as well. The kitchen was well-stocked and it made meal prep very easy. Bree, the property manager, was very helpful and attentive. We would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect condo in paradise

We loved our stay here! We snorkeled in front of our condo, saw turtles, amazing condo has everything you need including a spectacular view and loved hearing the waves all day! Awesome assistance from Bree when we had questions. We will stay here again!

Maui first timers

Condo was great!!! Right on the water with great views. A Turtle was resting on the sand in front of the condo one morning. Snorkeling was great and enjoyed all the great restaurants near by. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Amazing condo with beautiful views

The condo was amazing perfect for our family of six with extra space. Amazing view. My only complaint is I thought the washer and dryer would be in the condo but it’s not it’s outside and you have to pay for each wash and dry. For a family of 6 a washer and dryer is a must since we stayed for 9 days. But other then that I would totally recommend and will hopefully be booking this for the future.

Amazing stay

The condo at Maui Sands was an incredible place to stay. Every day we spent hours on the balcony enjoying the ocean view and whales. The condo was perfect. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We received the nicest gift of oranges and avocados from the owners. Such a delicious treat. We also appreciated Bree and Dave and their help finding our left item. We highly recommend this place and cannot wait to go back. Thank you!

As close to the ocean as you will ever get

This nicely appointed apartment is as close to the ocean as you will get. The complex is not fancy but the unit is great and location is unbelievable!
