Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this guest to other hosts. The home was left in a condition that went far beyond normal wear and tear and required substantial cleaning, repairs, and replacement of damaged items. Upon checkout, we found burned cookware that needed to be replaced, excessive sand tracked throughout the property, marks and scuffs on walls and cabinetry throughout the home, damage to flooring, tape and residue left on interior and exterior railings, a torn shower curtain, and extensive staining and cleaning needs in the bathrooms and kitchen. Dirty dishes were left behind, wet laundry was left in both the washing machine and bathrooms, and numerous water and soda bottles were found discarded under beds and throughout the property. The home was a newly built vacation rental that had been thoroughly cleaned and inspected prior to arrival. Significant time and expense were required to return the property to an acceptable condition for future guests. Based on this experience, we would not host this guest again.
