We planned this trip months in advance for my 60th Birthday. Although the location was absolutely perfect, this rental is outdated and the check in was awful. Check in was supposed to be at 3pm, per the CONTRACT, We arrived at 420 and it was still being cleaned!!! I tried for 90mins to get ahold of the owner with no luck. We left to get supplies for the week when she finally called and said it was ready. At this point it was 2hrs past our check in time and we had been traveling for more then 12hrs. Frustrating to say the least. The condo/apartment is in a perfect location, but the condo itself was so outdated. The door was from an old grocery store with no screen door. The curtains that cover the front door window area were held up with a cheap rod that was flimsy and barely held them up and we had to find pepper clips to close the gaps so as not to let light out at night, due to turtle season. There was absolutely NO CLOSET SPACE. The closets were so jam packed with supplies and junk toy couldn't hang up your clothes or put your luggage away we landed up hanging our clothes from the bed posters. The furniture in the living room was dated and worn. The kitchen supplies were so missed matched we had to scrounge to find what we needed. The air conditioning was loud and old. When we looked at the other units in the compound, they all had been replaced with efficiency ones. Our friends stayed at the same complex in a different unit, and it was crazy how beautiful the other place was compared to what we had. And it was cheaper!!!! We were also promised a $50 dollar refund for the check in complications, and have yet to receive it and the owner ignoring my email. Think twice!!!
