Enjoy a luxurious stay in this centrally-located renovated designer house at Cottonwood Heights. Within 20 mins is Salt Lake downtown, airport, U of U, or the two Cottonwood Canyons with 4 world-renowned ski resorts, rock climbing, and hiking. [Throughout the house and the backyard, enjoy the open view of the majestic Mount Olympus.]

This 2-story house of 2200 sq ft has 4 beds, 2.5 baths and a large backyard with gorgeous mountain view, BBQ, hot tub, lawn and a Utah native garden! The master bedroom, office & living room have pull-out sofa to sleep 5 more. Open floor plan is perfect for group gathering

Single-family twin home at the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon. You will live amongst a community of avid hikers, mountain bikers, and skiers. Located at the end of a residential cul-de-sac, the home is extremely quiet. Come enjoy the tranquility. But noisy parties will meet with complaints from the neighbors.
You’ll have easy access to local favorites like Lone Star Taqueria, Sumac, and Root'd, as well as groceries (Whole Foods, Trader Joe's) and shops (Target, Sierra). Within walking distance, you'll find Einstein Bagels and Beans & Brew Coffee. Enjoy a vibrant local music scene nearby at The Hog Wallow Pub.

Note that the host sometimes lives in the basement of the house, which has a separate entrance. Guests do have the whole backyard, including a 7-person Bullfrog hot tub, large BBQ grill, gas-fired fire pit to themselves. Guests typically won't run into the host, but the host is nearby to help out with anything.

Quiet hours 10pm to 9am:
This is a very quiet residential neighborhood. While guests love the tranquility, it means noise travels really well at night. After 9pm, you can still use the backyard and hot tub if you can keep noise level to minimum. If neighbors provide substantiated complaints of noise and parking disruption, you will be asked to leave the house without refund.

INTERIOR:
This spacious house of 2200 sq ft is newly renovated and furnished with modern decor. By default, it has 4 bedrooms that sleep 8 people (2 Kings, 2 Queens) and 2.5 bathrooms. All bedrooms feature dedicated work areas, a fan, an electric blanket and extra down blankets. 3 bedrooms have TVs.

TV/WIFI:
Enjoy free 5G internet access from Quantum Fiber. The house is equipped with Quantum 5G network. It has 4 TVs, one in the living room, and 3 in the bedrooms. They stream Neflix, Prime and Youtube. You can also use your own account for other streaming services such as Hulu and HBO. An HDMI cable is provided to allow you to project anything from a laptop to the TV.

Kitchen/Cooking:
The designer kitchen aims to enable guests to make home-cooked meals. It is equipped with:
- Refrigerator with ice-maker, microwave, chef-grade gas-fired stove, double oven, dishwasher, garbage disposal
- Keurig coffee maker that works with any ground coffee (starter supply of coffee, creamer, sugar provided)
- Rice cooker, electric kettle, ninja blender, toaster, waffle maker, panini grill
- Circulon pots and pans, stainless steel pots and pans, bakeware and mixing bowls, dishware/flatware for 12
- Sugar, Salt, Black Pepper, and some basic spices

OUTDOOR LIVING:
Modern patio includes a private 7-person Bullfrog hot tub, gas-fired BBQ grill, dining table set that seats 12, and outdoor sofa. It's a perfect space for family gathering. Beyond the patio is a huge backyard landscaped with a lawn (for lawn games, yoga, tai chi, meditation...), a basketball hoop and a water-wise Utah-native plants garden. Sit at the benches to read a book, listen to bird songs, witness the sunset or just take in the healing power of our native plants. This house is equipped with a basketball, a volleyball, an American football with a throwing net, 4 pickleball paddles and balls with an extendable pickleball net, 4 badminton paddles and a badminton net. Note that the host sometimes lives downstairs in the basement with a separate entrance but the guests have the backyard all to themselves.

Patio/BBQ/Fire Pits:
On the patio, the BBQ grill and firepit are powered by propane tank. If the gas ran out, find spare ones in the detached garage. There is an cooler box outside for drinks. There is a water hose. Young children can enjoy an outdoor shower! You can use the trash cans placed outside but please help empty the content before you leave.
On the hilltop at the back of the house is a wood burning firepit. You are welcome to use it at its location but no where else to prevent risk of fire. The host can provide firewood.

SUSTAINABILITY:
This house is powered by solar panels! You are welcome to charge your electric car here as well. Just let the host know. We compost on site. While the city does not recycle plastic bags, soft plastics and glasses, the host will recycle them if you place them in the detached garage.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENT:
- Bedroom 1: 1 king bed with TV and work area + 1 twin-size pull-out sofa
- Bedroom 2: 1 king bed with TV and two seats
- Bedroom 3: 1 queen bed, with work area
- Bedroom 4: 1 queen bed, with work area
- Study/Bedroom 5: 1 queen size pull-out sofa, with work area
-Livingroom : 1 queen size pull-out sofa

By default, the house is setup to sleep 8 in 4 bedrooms on the top floor (2 King and 2 Queen beds). Each room has extra seating spaces and a small table for work. Each room has black-out blinds and is equipped with a fan, electric blanket and an extra down blanket. 3 out of 4 bedrooms are equipped with a TV.

There is space to sleep 5 more people:
(1) In the master bedroom, there is a pullout sofa of Twin size, which measures 39 x77 inches. For your comfort a roll-up mattress is provided to be placed on top. It is ideal for small children who are traveling with their parents
(2) On the bottom floor, there is a study room with a large pull-out sofa of double-bed size, which measures 57 x 73. For your comfort, a roll-up mattress is provided to be placed on top. This room is equipped with blackout blinds.
(3) In the living room, the sofa is a pull-out sofa of full size which measures 54 x 75. For your comfort a roll-up mattress is provided to be placed on top.
(4) There is also an option to add an extra Queen-sized bed in the Master Bedroom or the living room. Our cleaners can set this up for an additional fee of $200. Please inform the host of the need ahead of time.

Additional amenities provided:
Supplies: Bedsheets, pillowcases, and towels are 100% cotton. Shampoos, conditioners, soap are hypoallergenic. Extra towels, blankets, pillows, sheets, are in the storage room near the stairs on the top floor and the entrance hallway. Towels and bathrobes for the hot tub are in the living room next to the TV
Extra cleaning products: shampoo, conditioner, hand cleanser, body wash, dishwasher liquid, laundry detergent. They are either in the laundry room or under the kitchen sink.
Equipment: vaccum cleaner, broom, iron, ironing board, clothes steamer, humidifier, sewing kit, air purifier, lint rollers
Games: Frisbe, Football with throwing net, Basketball, Volleyball, Pickleball/Paddle, Tennis balls, Badminton with Badminton Net, Karaoke Machine/microphone system

FIREPLACE:
The wood-burning fire place is available to be used from mid December to mid March. Let the host know if you would like to use it and the host will unlock the fireplace and provide firewood.

PARKING:
In terms of parking, by default, guests can park one car in front of the house (on the left) and fit up to 3 cars in the driveway to the left of the house. Watch for the 2 green parking signs for cues. If more parking is needed, let the host know as guests can be given access to the detached garage if needed. For large gatherings, many more parking spaces are available in 3 commercial parking lots within walking distance from the house. Search for the businesses "Cottonwood Heights Massage Therapy", "Hidden Valley Insurance", and "Skimo."

The house was exactly what we needed as a base to head up into the mountains to ski. And the hot tub definitely helped unwind. Eva was an awesome host: very responsive and even gave us some tips on the best places to ski.

Very nice, recently remodeled house in Cottonwood Heights right off Fort Union Blvd. Minutes away from Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons. 40 minutes to Park City and one hour to Snowbasin. Close to restaurants, grocery store, bagel shop and much more. House was clean and well appointed. Nice back yard with hot tub. Host was readily available to answer questions and offer recommendations.

Our host is very accommodating, the home is very well maintained, incredibly clean with high end updates. The backyard and patio is a wonderful bonus, so comfortable. The weather didn’t allow us to try the hot tub but it is huge. The hospitality is over the top, we would definitely stay again . Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us

Eva went above and beyond for us on several occasions, turning a tough medical trip into a real vacation. She was very communicative beforehand and throughout our stay (we're usually not very high maintenance but had a few requests this time). We did see her around the property a bit (especially since there was a storm and some yard things needed fixing), but she was very unobtrusive and quiet. We had plenty of towels and kitchen accoutrements, ample parking, and for our small party, lots of beds to choose from! I personally appreciated the mix of firmnesses and foam vs spring options. The water pressure in the showers is a dream come true. The hot tub is new and sizable. The yard is ginormous. While we were just a family of three, could easily see hosting a small family reunion here. We didn't use the study as an office, but it's a great touch for a workcation. We loved having a clean laundry room so we could pack less and head home with clean clothes, too. The big windows facing the mountains were a real treat, even though I am lucky enough to have a mountain view at home. Makes it feel less like a house and more like a resort! Thanks Eva!

I moved to Cottonwood Heights from New York City where I worked as a banking executive for 20+ years. Now retired, I hike and ski in Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons a few times a week. My new backyard is 20x bigger than the one in Manhattan and I challenged myself to build an organic native water-sense garden here to share with all the guests. I also had a lot of fun curating high quality furniture and home goods to decorate the AirBNB. I also love having the ability to provide a space for gathering of friends and family, hence the kitchen is fully stocked and BBQ grill is always available for guests.

Its convenient location is 18 minutes from Snowbird Ski Resort as well as Salt Lake City downtown! It is newly gut renovated with no expense spared and the furnishings are carefully chosen to match the modern decor. Large open kitchen/living room and large patio is perfect for large family gathering. The top of the line hot tub is great to use throughout the year and children like to play with water after the temperature of the hot tub is adjusted downwards. The large lawn allows for all sorts of activities. There is also a gorgeous view of Mount Olympus. There is ample parking within the property but also a large number of parking spaces within 30-50 steps away.
