First Trip to Miami

The property was outstanding, a little difficult to navigate a private residence from a "hotel" services unit.....was a little unclear on amenities not afforded the private residences but other than that..fantastic stay. The pools and pool deck were amazing and access to the beach was perfect.

Great stay

This was a great stay for our family with space to make our own meals and for our three teenage daughters to have their own space. Robert was very communicative. The hotel updated their AC unit so we didn't have AC for two days but Robert brought over several fans and they worked great.

Good Location - Property Could use Some TLC

The location of the property was great. Swimming pools and beach access were as described and very convenient. There was a bar and food service at the pool which was nice. The condo had some beach chairs to use which avoiding us having to rent any. The condo could use some updating. There was some cheap fixes on appliances and fixtures and the beds were not very comfortable and could have used more pillows. The WiFi was not reliable

Was terrible but could use some up grades

AC didn’t work correctly either too cold or too hot no auto .. no hot water Luke warm at best ..sofas could use cleaning but more likely need to be replaced not comfortable at all ..and there was construction going on next door which was noisy and eye sore.. restaurant closed due to holiday which meant we had to venture out to get something to eat . I would stay again if I knew some of the issues were correct. Robert was very nice to deal with and we appreciated that very much.

Great beach condo

Excellent location, condo is just as pictured, property manager gets back to you within minutes. The only negatives we had were with the actual hotel. Front desk staff is rude. Any interaction was like we were annoying them. Be aware that the exorbitant daily resort fees don’t cover much as a Vrbo renter- we were still charged for beach chairs after paying the $90/ day fee directly to the hotel, the complimentary bikes weren’t available, etc. Still would return, as the condo and manager were great.

Freezing

The thermostat in the master I set to off and woke up to 60. Other than that it was really cute, but old. The building needed updates like the many many mirrors and poorly repaired cracks in the ceiling. Overall I would stay again if in a jam. It was an overall good experience with the resort, if you’re accustomed to paying 20/drink.

Ideale per una famiglia

Il proprietario è sempre disponibile e rapidissimo nelle risposte. L'appartamento è esattamente come mostrato in foto. Cucina completamente attrezzata e letti comodi. Davanti all'edificio, The Alexander, si trova la fermata del 'Trolley', bus gratuito che passa ogni 15 minuti. Comodissimo per spostarsi sia verso Nord sia verso Sud di Miami Beach.

Girls trip

Had a great time staying at the Alexander Hotel. We rented Citibikes a few days to get around and Uber / Lyft were $7-15 depending time and where you wanted to go. We had a noisy crowd one night that stayed up ALL night upstairs but other than that was pretty quiet. We had most of what we needed to cook breakfast each day and they have a small cafe in the lobby for coffee etc. It’s a little expensive…but it’s Miami. The rooms were fine. Couches could use a good cleaning but overall had a good experience. Enjoy!

Perfect getaway

The host was very responsive and good with communication. Unit was well furnished loved the second bedroom with multiple beds. Beds where a little uncomfortable but not terrible. Unit could use some updating but still nice. The property location was what you pay for !! heated pools and two hot tubs right on the beach !! the walking path right next to the property was great. My wife and I were able to get a run in. There are a couple of parks right by property as well. The hotel staff (nothing to do with host) was ok they could be a bit more friendly to the private guest (us). In the unit binder it mentioned use of beach chairs but when we asked about them at the beach they still wanted to charge so we just sat on beach toweled which was perfectly ok :) all in all great getaway and will stay again

Excellent Owner

The owner, Mr. Gutierrez, is very friendly and accommodating! We truly appreciated the ability for the owner and the hotel property to accommodate our early check-in and late checkout request. Our group did have a couple of concerns about the property… But, they are truly independent of the owner - he is amazing. The facility is under construction so not all amenities were available. Only one pool and one hot tub were in service. The hot tub temperature is set to high… Three out of our four people experienced first-degree burns on our legs from having them in the hot tub. This has been reported directly to the hotel leadership team so that they can adjust the hot tub temperature to promote the safety of guests. Our room apartment was comfortable - And some specific feedback is… The master bedroom closet is gigantic! That is a nice bonus in a condo! It would be great to have a ceiling fan in the master bedroom as it got a little stuffy at night. Overall, pleased with our experience at the Facility and extremely satisfied with the owner!

Ok unit, would probably not stay again.

Overall this unit was nice, clean*ish and fit our needs for our friends vacation weekend, for the price we paid. However there are a few things we did not so much enjoy. We had a lot of difficulties finding transportation to/from other areas of Miami beach. Proximity to shops, groceries, restaurants was not as close as we expected. We expected walking distance which was not the case. We requested an early check-in because some of us arrived early in the day. We were told we could check in at 1:00 PM, however the unit was not ready until 3:30. The front desk was accommodating so we were able to drop our luggage and enjoy the pool/beach until the unit was ready. On the flip side the day of check-out, we had housekeeping waiting for us to leave prior to 11:00 am check-out, a little frustrating. On the beach we had to rent two chairs. It would have been nice if that was included in the rental. Beach was beautiful and low-key overall. Pool staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool itself was a little dirty, could use a good cleaning. Getting to the pool was like a maze. We understand things are under construction, hopefully will be better once that is complete.
