Histórico cabaña de un registro de la habitación

Ubicado en el hermoso valle del río Jordán, esta acogedora cabaña es el sueño de un escritor. Ubicado a 11,2 km de Mancelona, ​​este refugio de madera ofrece fácil acceso al senderismo, la pesca, el piragüismo y el esquí. Shorts Brewery, y su famosa cerveza artesanal, se encuentra a quince minutos en automóvil del centro de Bellaire. Traverse City y Petoskey están a solo cuarenta y cinco minutos de distancia. Pasee por los jardines que forman parte de la pequeña granja de finales de siglo, o simplemente disfrute de la tranquilidad de los bosques del norte.
El valle del río Jordán es parte del bosque estatal de Mackinaw y es verdaderamente una de las áreas naturales más bellas del norte de Michigan. Su río fue el primero en ser designado como un río salvaje y pintoresco por el gobierno federal. El Sendero del Río Jordán ofrece 18 millas de senderos y es parte de North Country National Scenic Trail.

Mary and cabin are true blessings

This was our fourth stay at this beautiful cabin. First, Mary is an exceptional host and person. We always enjoy our talks with her when we both arrive and leave. The cabin is meticulously clean and cozy. Both the cabin and the area it sits are very peaceful and quiet. If you want to get away from the hustle of life, this is a fantastic spot. The cabin will put you around thirty minutes or less to places, such as the Lavender Hill Farm, Boyne City, and Charlevoix. It’s about a hour or less to places, such as Traverse City, Sutton’s Bay, and Leland. The surrounding areas are so beautiful and pleasant that it makes for a nice drive whatever your destination is.

Quiet Retreat

This was our third stay at the cabin, and it was such a treat to hear bird calls and the wind in the trees instead of horns honking and highway noise. Mary was, as always, a pleasure to chat with and so welcoming. The surrounding area is amazing for wildlife. We hiked Jordan River Valley and our new favorite, Grass River Natural Area, as well as Glacier Hills Nature Area. For lunch we discovered a relatively new place called Forx in Elmira, and it is the best food we’ve had up north. We definitely recommend some quiet time at Mary’s cabin as an amazing escape from the world’s troubles.

Birthday winter getaway

This was our second time to Mary's cabin and it was once again perfect in every way. The charm of this property is off the charts. Rustic and beautiful. Peaceful doesn't begin to describe the silence that surrounds you at this perfect up north location.

All alone

A great place to have alone time without the hustle and grind of the city. No TV means talk with your loved one or read a book. Area isn’t great for walking around in but little towns near the place are.

Exactly As Pictured

The cabin is exactly as pictured, super charming. It was just the two of us, my son and myself so it wasn't too small. The sofa has a pull out bed, which is what my son used and said it was very comfortable. All the kitchen utensils and supplies that we needed were there, as well as plenty of towels and blankets. There's no AC but the cabin stayed cool. The location is ideal if you are interested in doing all the up north things. We did Mackinac Island, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City and Charlevoix. There's also a great nature reserve for hiking right up the road. Mary was a great host, very communicative and nice. This place is a great value.

Near 100 Year Old Cabin

For us, this was a perfect blend of modern conveniences and old fashioned rustic pioneer life. It was like going back in time to a much simpler, slower time and way of life. Yet it has running water, shower, toilet, stove, oven, and gas logs. We had a wonderful time, and would love to stay there again.

Wonderful stay!

This cabin was perfect for our stay. It's clean, cozy, and in a good location for enjoying Bellaire, Charlevoix, and Petoskey. The host had a firepit all ready for use, but we didn't have time to enjoy that. We would stay here again!

Quiet and peaceful stay

Mary is an absolute wonderful host. Her cabin is a quaint and beautiful place to be secluded and away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Cabin is conveniently located close enough for day trips to Charlevoix, Boyne City, Petosky, Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc. We highly recommend Mary’s cabin.

Little get-away time

We so loved our stay in Mary’s cabin. It is very peaceful place with beautiful gardens and surroundings. The cabin has everything we needed and more, and she was such a gem to spend a bit of our time with. A new favorite place for us…we’ll be back!!

Peace and Quiet at last!

Nice old cabin near a farm house and barn out in the country. The gardens and woods offer a nice walk, the cabin stayed cool inside even when it was 89F outside. All the equipment worked great, nice and comfortable. A+

Anniversary weekend

Great hideaway for recharging

Our stay was amazing! Mary is such a natural at hosting and was enjoyable to visit with her for a bit. The cabin was really clean and no signs are vermin at all - which is amazing for a structure of that age. The kitchen is vry well stocked which was so nice since we planned to eat all of our meals in. We did quite a bit if hiking around the river valley, but mostly wanted to just hang out at the cabin and chill together celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary. Being we had nothing scheduled, we love that there was no clock staring at us. Would definitely recommend this great little spot.
