Orcas Island cottage at the seashore with everything to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. I can't say enough about the setting and the wonderful, helpful hosts.Everything is set up for a fabulous vacation. Kayaks, swimming pool, comfortable beds, great kitchen, luxurious living rooms, serenely quiet...what is not to love.

Orcas Island Paradise

The house and location was exactly as described. A perfect beach getaway while also very close to town and it’s resources. Crazy nice views and a great place to spend a week.

Paradise, indeed!

We had a wonderful stay at the Pollock Paradise! Liz was so accommodating, kind, and communicative. The property has stunning views of Mt. Baker, the Sisters, and North Cascades. We enjoyed kayaking right from the beach. My family of four stayed very comfortably (the beds are great) and had a fabulous time! Thank you, Pollocks!

Just checking it out for our families to come back for a vacation

We loved the home and the owners were most helpful and welcoming. My sister and I came for a check view to see if this would be a wonderful vacation spot for our families and we both loved it. The Pollacks home was warm and wonderful and we will be coming back for sure. The areas were also interesting and made us want to know more about this area of our country.

Beautiful spot, responsive hosts

The house was clean and stocked with all kitchen necessities. We spent hours each day scouring the beach. We watched an eagle dive for dinner and kayaked with the seals. The hosts were kind and responsive. Would definitely visit again.

We are here now and enjoying the sunny weather. Our new grandson, 3 weeks old, is enjoying his first Orcas stay! There is a heron standing on a kelp bed about 100 feet out in the cove. Peaceful and renewing.

Fantastic property. Great location!

My family of four (kids are 8 & 5) stayed here for three nights and had a blast! The house was well kept and cozy, with amazing views inside and out. Location couldn't be better - it was super easy to carry down Kayaks and cruise around the sound. Kids loved the pool, and there was also some fun lawn games available to setup (ping pong, cornhole) and play. We will definitely return next year!

Outstandingly comfortable!

We will be booking again. Our only regret is not having stayed longer. The waterfront view is incredibly peaceful, I really enjoyed the sunrise while drinking my coffee. It was so very nice having our own private pool. The house is so well stocked with loads of games, a poker table and chips and very cozy linens. Can't wait to come back!

Peaceful Stay

I stayed over Memorial Day Weekend for an extra long weekend with a few of my girlfriends. The house was very roomy and comfortable. The views are stunning and the pool and hot tub are an added bonus. It's only about a 5 minute car ride to dining and shops in Eastsound. The owners are very accomodating and called me when I got there to make sure I knew how to work everything. I had a wonderful relaxing stay and would definitely consider coming here again!

Wonderful waterfront cabin!

We could not ask for a better vacation location and combination of fun things to do! Swimming in the pool, taking a kayak out on the water, fishing, walking the beach, and taking in the views. The cabin is comfortable and personable. This isnt your standard "VRBO" decorated "minimalist" home. Has a very family-cabin feeling. The owner was kind, responsive and informative. We will be using this as our Orcas Island go-to from now on.

Amazing relaxing vacation

I'll be honest I stepped inside this home and instantly I just let the outside world slip away! We all had the best time relaxing and NOT working/schooling! The home has the most beautiful view and sitting and having coffee in the early morning hours staring at the water was amazing! Serene, beautiful, restful

Lovely! This house is so homey and full of activities. Wake up and have coffee overlooking the water, take a paddle out on the sound, or swim in the pool with the kiddos-- this home has it all! It's also not too far from town or the park-- it's so perfectly situated. I'm so grateful to Joy who was such an attentive and kind host during our stay. We hope to return in the future! A true gem!

We had an amazing time here. It has everything you could have wanted and more. The kids had a blast in the pool, the beach views and beach combing were perfect. It was quiet and peaceful. A short drive to town and the owners were beyond accommodating. We surely will be back sometime! It was the ideal spot to explore Orcas Island with anything you could want or need all in one house with breathtaking views and a great private neighborhood. Thanks Liz and Larry for sharing!!

This is a great property with a spectacular view as advertised. The home is well-furnished and the kitchen is fully functional and well appointed. The hosts, especially Liz, were proactively engaged and were available on short notice to answer questions. Moran State Park is a jewel very close by with a broad range of hiking, biking, and swimming options for the family. Two cautionary notes: there is only one bathroom (which is disclosed in the listing) so if you plan on visiting with a large group that could be an issue. Also, there is another house right next door (30 feet approx). There was no one living there when we visited, but it would have been a little close if someone had been. Overall, a great place to spend a week and we're happy we chose this property.

Absolutely Enjoyed our Stay!!

This beach house was comfortable all around. Washington stays light outside till 10:30pm and is light again very early in the am. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms had blackout curtains. The kitchen was well stocked and the view spectacular! I was so full of peace and gratitude during our whole stay. The kayaks were such fun and we saw a little otter and seal that call the waters right out front home. A deer and her babies walked by in the afternoon for a visit as well. Thank you so much

Wonderful home

We had a wonderful time at this home. Larry was there to greet us upon arrival and show us around the house. What a great personal touch! We were all so comfortable that our 2 year old slept well every night. The location is amazing. Right on the water with a beautiful view of Mt. Baker. There were birds, deer and seals to watch right from the dining room. The rocky and driftwood strewn shore was great for walks and easy to launch the kayaks. If we get the chance to go back to Orcas, we hope this house is available.

On Orcas Island there's none better

This is our new #1 VRBO home away from home! We visit 4-5 places a year renting vacation homes. For us this is the best all-around unit we've ever encountered in several states. Not a grandiose mansion mind you but a nicely equipped, furnished, and tastefully decorated home with all the accessories we could use plus more. It's clearly lived in by the owners when not renting out to lucky ones like us. It's an appealing, well-appointed home with great waterfront access and views on a quiet lane on Orcas Island and close to Eastsound for shopping and Moran State Park for recreation. Swimming pool was just an extra to us but families with kids should love that. We didn't go kayaking but that option is there too. Loved watching the birds and sealife all day long, when we weren't fishing over at the state park. Beds were comfy, and all rooms are are large with modern furnishings. Kitchen is well equipped with agood pots and pans and an eclectic assortment of dishes, plates and flatware such as you'd find at your friend's cabin. Owner also does a nice job of checking in at the start and the end, to make sure all is going ok. If I had to search for a negative, it's only got one bathroom. Fine for a couple or a family with one or two kids. But with the hide-a-beds and sofas a large group might find it challenging to share one bathroom. But hey, its only five minutes to Eastsound and public restrooms.

Great Views, plenty of space rain or shine.

Really enjoyed the home and the beach. Everything was just as described. The “Pool Room” was amazing and makes the home so large. We had sunny weather and took advantage of the ping pong, pool, paddle board and kayaks.

Amazing location just minutes away from town

The property manager was extremely engaged and interested providing us the best possible experience. Orcas island was an absolute treat and coming back to this property after our adventures just made it that much better. The views were amazing and possibly understated in the listing. Our kids enjoyed all of the toys and board games that were available. I look forward to staying sometime during the summer so we can enjoy the pool as well!

We, Larry and Liz Pollock, currently live in Bellingham, WA. We purchased our dream place on Orcas Island over 30 years ago after falling in love with each other and with the island. Our cabin home was previously part of the Buckhorn Lodge back in the 1930s, and used as a fishing resort destination.
We love Orcas so much, we even got married at the little chapel in Eastsound and had our reception right at the cabin. Lovely!
The 'cabin' as we lovingly refer to it in our family, has been our place to vacation, relax, and rejuvenate with one another. Our kids, Niki and Drew, now adults, have many fond memories building rafts, playing on the beach in front, swimming in the pool, and sharing their special place with friends.
As educators we also had the added bonus to spend most of our summers on Orcas. But, now, as our kids are grown and one of us (Larry) is retired, we have decided to once again share our little piece of heaven with others, which also allows us to travel to other destinations around this amazing planet.
We welcome you to build your own memories at our Orcas cabin home.

The most amazing thing about this property is the easy waterfront access and spectacular views. If you know Orcas Island at all, you come to realize that low-bank waterfront homes are hard to find. Our cabin is waterfront, and has just a few steps down to the beach. There are many things to do on Orcas, but we find just being at the cabin is wonderful. We see otters, seals, porpoises, eagles and waterfowl, and deer, literally every day.
We also have an old pool in our backyard, which is usually available during the summer and is solar heated.
Renters will also have use of our 3 kayaks and 1 canoe. Renters can also use our dinghy if you own a boat.
Just minutes away from Eastsound (the main town on Orcas), it is easy to check out the local stores, grab some good food and buy your own groceries.

This cabin is truly a unique spot. Low bank waterfront is rare on Orcas and we are just steps to the beach. Our view is spectacular. On a clear day Mt. Baker is amazing! There is a seasonal solar-heated pool in the fenced in backyard. One of a kind experience for all!
