It was our first time traveling for Thanksgiving but we had to, to meet our very first granddaughter! Thembi's home was awesome and she was very responsive to any questions we had. Both indoor and outdoor living spaces were exceptionally clean and well cared for. We will be traveling to the Thousand Oaks area quite a bit now that we have a granddaughter to spoil, and we will definitely use this home again. Thank you Thembi!

Home Away from Home

Nephew Graduation / Eagle Scout Ceremony

I travelled to Newbury Park to attend my nephew's high school graduation and Eagle scout ceremony. The home was great. The only issue we had was the back sliding door was very hard to open and needs to be fixed. The first day the internet was not working. The homeowner was very responsive and called the internet provider and had a technician dispatched. The router was replaced, and we no longer had any issues.

Family visit to see new baby

Several members of our family visited from three different states to spend time with our nephew, his wife and their new baby boy. This Newberry Park home was a perfect choice due to its quiet location, exceptionally nice upgrades throughout the house and private back yard, and excellent communication with Thembi, the owner. While she was on international travel during our stay, she was very responsive to messages on VRBO and provided a local contact for any issues that might arise.In the week we were there everything in the house worked flawlessly. The kitchen was better equipped and provisioned than just about any of the other VRBOs we have rented over the years. A good selection of shopping and restaurants were conveniently close, some within easy walking distance. I would highly recommend this property to anyone needing short term housing in the area.

Great spot!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is very clean and organized. All of us thought the beds were comfortable and enjoyed the spacious and plush backyard. The host was easy to communicate with. We will definitely rent again when we come back to town.

Wedding Weekend

What a really cute place and conveniently located. Well stocked with the basic items needed when away from home. The backyard was very serene and nicely manicured. The Property Manager was awesome and very attentive. We’d would stay again!

We gathered together for my granddaughters first communion. The was prefect for 5 adults. Every one was amazed to such a beautiful yard. The fruits trees were full of oranges and lemons. We made juices from both trees. The kitchen had everything we needed to make all our meals. We had a great time. Thank you.

Beautiful, clean & comfy home

This home was perfect for us. We each had our own bedroom ( there are 3 and 2 bathrooms). The beds were very comfortable and had a selection of different pillows to choose from. The home is clean and very well taken care of. The kitchen is very roomy with a big island and supplied with every utensil you could possibly need for cooking and baking. We were pleasantly surprised to see a Keurig machine there and a rack full of all kinds of coffee pods. The living room has a very large L-shaped couch which could seat around 6-8 people and it faces a fireplace. Above the fireplace is a big screen TV. The patio out back was a good size and could accommodate maybe 6-8 people around the table. There are beautiful plants and trees out side that are well manicured. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for us and the price is right! Thembi, our host, stayed in touch with us and gave us all the information and tips that we needed to make our stay an enjoyable one. We couldn't ask for better communication. She was right on top of things when we had any questions. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home away from home. We hope to be able to come back here again. Thanks again, Thembi, for sharing your home with us.

Beautiful Rental, Amazing Host

We were hosting relatives coming into the area to mourn the death of a loved one. Due to the nature of the rental, we booked last minute. The host was a pleasure to work with. She was accommodating to all of our questions and kind in every exchange. We would need to get in early & leave late. Her cleaning crew promised to get us in and they delivered. We entered an immaculate home early. The home was well stocked and looked as it did in the pictures, perhaps even better. The furniture was comfortable. The backyard was well kept and a pleasant setting to unwind. The neighborhood was quiet and neighbors friendly, waving as we would come and go. We did not need to contact the host while there as everything in the unit worked. It was just what we needed. Upon leaving, the host graciously reached out to see how we were doing as we mourned. That is above and beyond. We highly recommend this rental. Thousand Oaks is a beautiful town with beautiful people. This rental experience confirms it.

Nice Property But Badly Managed

The property was very nice and well maintained, but unfortunately we had multiple issues with property management. 1. We did not get our checkin email and key code until we were at the property, and had to message the property manager for the details. 2. Carbon Monoxide monitor kept beeping, we reached out to the property manager, and were asked to change the battery. Even after we replaced battery, it kept beeping for service. Had to remove battery in order for us to sleep 3. Cleaners showed up to the property at 10:00 AM and wanted access to the property, when checkout is at 11:00 AM. Had to rush and get out of the house due to property owner scheduling cleaners earlier than check-out time.

Perfect family accommodations

We were able to do a pre-Thanksgiving dinner with our family and enjoy the next day for Thanksgiving with relatives 20 min away. The extra pull-out bed was helpful. And we used the extra sheets to use the comfy couch cushions for our toddler grandchildren. Couldn't figure out how to turn the fan off so it stayed pretty cool in the house but loved the backyard patio to eat during the mornings & afternoons. It was nice and warm outside. Forgot to mention the guest shower might be missing a washer since it dripped most of the time we were there.

Wonderful Week

We had a wonderful week at this property. The backyard is beautiful with birds to entertain you all day long flying around fruit trees. Great distance from beaches and restaurants. Thembi has great recommendations and we are grateful she opened up her home to us.

College Move In Debut

Thembi's house was a great size for my family to stretch out & perfect location to shop for items for my daughter's dorm. Very quiet setting as well. Wish there were some kind of lawn chairs to enjoy soaking up the sunshine. Thembi was an excellent host. I look forward to staying here again.

Great Space Near Malibu, Thousand Oaks and Vicinity

This home was perfect for our family. It was pristinely clean, had plenty of everything (towels, shampoo, paper products) and the kitchen was nicely supplied. The owner supplied Keurig Pods were great. Lovely outdoor space under cover from the sun with a table that seated our party of 5 easily. Highly recommended!

Family Visit

This home was perfect for our stay. We were visiting our family who live in Newbury Park. This home has an open floor plan, updated kitchen, comfortable beds, and amazing backyard! Our granddaughters loved the big backyard. Thembi was always quick to respond to any questions we had. Thank you again for that. We have already booked our next stay!!

Active Retreat for Work and Play

The 3 bedroom home is updated and modern and was perfect for our family of four. We enjoyed the BBQ and fruit trees in the backyard. Our favorite part was walking to the park for a stroll and to play tennis. There are many stores and restaurants nearby and some are even a short walk away.

A Perfect Stay!

We stayed at this wonderful home for 3 nights while visiting the Reagan Library and Santa Barbara. Everything about the home, from the beds to the kitchen to the living room to the backyard was exceptional. Thembi was always accessible and provided fool-proof instructions for navigating the checkin process. The location is also highly advantageous; just a 2minute drive from the interstate and 5min from the grocery store.

Newbury Park Getaway

Updated home in established 1970's neighborhood. This worked out well for the three couples that used the property. All the amenities were available including grill. Ii recommend this as a safe bet for anyone that has business in the Thousand Oaks area.

Comfortable Home

Beautiful remodeled home with great open floor plan. Loved the patio area. Owner was very responsive to any issue or question. I will say the outdoor grill was very dirty so we couldn’t use it. The owner said she would address this and any other issues we had. The neighborhood isn’t great. Lots of cars parked everywhere but the location of the home is convenient to stores, restaurants and freeway. Try Lures restaurant. This was their recommendation and it was amazing.

Overall great experience

Home was very comfortable including the backyard. The only recommendation I would give is to add more kitchen items like pots and pans, waffle maker and cooking utensils.

This home has it all, While we do not live in this home, you will experience a little bit of who we are, our style and get a glimpse of family photographs spread out tastefully within the home! This home is CLEAN, modern and well equipped for many events and is central to MANY locations including the beach (Hiking trails are literally in our backyard!) Shopping and Restaurants are plentiful! You will LOVE this home and this area.
