Welcome!
My name is Franco, originally from Italy. My wife is local to this beautiful region, and together we’ve created a peaceful retreat in the village of Mokrine, near Herceg Novi. We lived for many years in UK, and now we’ve settled here to enjoy a slower, more nature-connected way of life — and to share it with guests from around the world.
We are excited to host you in our modern countryside home, just a short drive from the sea. We truly enjoy meeting new people and helping them feel at home while discovering the beauty of this unique area.
We are giving our best to be helpfull and react fast on any possible issues you might have.
Two of our biggest passions are gardening and cooking. We have two young children and enjoy spending time with them in the garden growing fruits, vegetables, and herbs – many of which we use to prepare homemade meals. We are always glad to share some recipes or tips if you enjoy cooking too!
In our free time, we also enjoy hiking in the surrounding nature and spending time with our friendly dog and cats, who help make the atmosphere feel even more homely. Whether you're here to rest, explore, or enjoy good food and fresh air, we are here to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

The neighborhood is quiet, with just a few friendly families living nearby, which adds to the safe, relaxed, and community feel of the area.
Nature is all around you here.
One of our favorite features is a lovely, shaded road lined with trees — perfect for a morning walk or a peaceful afternoon stroll. Just a 2.5 km hike from the house takes you to Vidov Vrh, a stunning viewpoint where you can see across the mountains and even out to the sea on clear days. It’s a local favorite and well worth the walk!
If you enjoy hiking or biking, the area is full of forest trails and hidden paths to explore. The mighty Orjen Mountain is nearby for more challenging adventures, and when you're ready to explore the coast, Herceg Novi is just a short drive away with its charming old town, seaside promenades, and excellent restaurants.
One of the best parts about staying here is the ideal location — close to both the Adriatic coast and the Bosnian border. We're only a short drive from the charming city of Trebinje (Bosnia and Herzegovina), as well as Tivat and Kotor Bay in Montenegro. If you're arriving by plane, both Tivat Airport and Dubrovnik Airport (Croatia) are easily reachable, making travel convenient from several directions.
Whether you want to explore different countries, enjoy the sea, or relax in fresh mountain air, Mokrine is a unique starting point for an unforgettable trip.
